The wickedest witch in Holiday Hills is dead. While cancer was bringing the end closer, it was murder that ended her life. With plenty of suspects, Abby Odell begins looking into the murder since a non magical is leading the investigation in what is likely a magical murder with her feline familiar, Cooper. Now Abby has to find killer before they get away with murder.
This is a cute series and I love Cooper and his attitude adjustments he provides Abby. If you’re into southern paranormal cozies, this is right up your alley!

Finding out who murdered mean witch Cassandra Bloom presents Abby Odell and her familiar, Cooper, with an intriguing challenge. Cassandra surprises her two daughters when she disinherits them in favor of her dog, Barney. Her will also stipulates that Raynor continue to live in her house and care for Barney.
Everyone in Holiday Hills believes Cassandra’s daughters are guilty. Abby follows up on various clues, including checking out her friend Bessie who argued with Cassandra over a plant in the flower shop.
Once again, Carolyn Ridder Aspenson weaves her magic to tell a spellbinding mystery. Magical characters interact with Mundanes. Witches cast spells. Raynor turns out to be a shape-shifting rabbit who enjoys taking care of Barney. Another Witch Bites the Dust is the fourth Holiday Hills Witch Cozy Mystery in this series and easily earns the designation as an enchanting read.

When I received this book as an ARC from netgalley, I unfortunately didn't realise that this wasn't a standalone book, but was in fact part of a series (this book being number 4).
Whilst I think it is manageable to read this book as a standalone, it makes for a bit of a sluggish start when you are trying to understand the characters that have already been built in the world.
This book was an enjoyable, humorous read, which is honestly a little bit different from what I was expecting (not that, that is a bad thing). Kind of like a cross between murder mystery and sabrina the teenage witch, I still think this book is a really good read.
Like I mentioned above, the start was a bit slow but eventually it picked up around the third chapter. This is definitely a fully fledged member of the cozy/feel good paranormal genre - think Disney's halloweentown.
This opinion is completely my own, my review is honest and voluntary.

I've read other books by the author and enjoyed them. This one joins them. Holiday Hills is a town made up of humans and magical beings. But no one likes Cassandra Bloom, so when she is murdered everyone is relieved. Everyone but Abby who knows no one is safe until the murderer is caught. Lovable characters. Good plot. I would love to revisit Holiday Hills again. Thanks #netgalley and #SevernRiverPublishing for the eARC in exchange for an honest review.

This book is ok. I didn't like most of the characters and it's a bit confusing on the ending. It doesn't have the sophistication of the other series that this writer has. #AnotherWitchBitestheDust #NetGalley
