Marnie Anton is an LA-based lawyer caught up in her best friend's idea of playing matchmaker for the men of Paradise, Alaska. Twelve women interested in meeting the men and possibly relocating to Alaska are selected for the first run of this matchmaking program, and they ask Marnie to tag along. Against her better judgment, she does. There she meets Cobra, ex-Air Force, and hesitant to think this scheme will work. The two bond almost instantly, and neither of them is what the other thinks they would be.

I enjoyed seeing the friendship that Marnie and Mia have, that even if they don't see eye to eye about living in Alaska and leaving behind the big city life, they still support and love each other. The landscapes in Alaska are beautifully described, as are the moments that help Marnie and Cobra connect. She's the odd one out of her family by going into law when her family was concerned with being off-grid and having survivalist knowledge, he's the odd one out of his family by not being a white-collar professional. As much as they don't want to take part in the matchmaking festivities, they get along very well, and Mia convincing Marnie to stay longer only allows them more time to get to know each other. Cobra is there for Marnie when stressed, and is also a source of stress for her; he loves it in Alaska and she loves being in a big city and letting her career take off. The discussions they had felt very real and heartfelt, so that I was right there with them when they inevitably separated before their reconciliation and happily ever after after.

This is the second Paradise, Alaska novel, but I hadn't read the first one. I suspect it's Mia's story, given that they're the first couple between the big city woman and small-town man and are the template for the matchmaking program that set up this novel. I don't miss anything from starting with this story, and Mia's romantic model seems like any other bit of backstory for our heroine. I had a lot of fun reading this book, and I think you will, too.

Cobra made me weak in the knees even before I started reading. I’m packing for Paradise right now since there are yummy. My favorites parts of the book were the shooting range and the hike to the falls. I loved that Marnie was an introvert and knew lots of mechanical things. I love that Cobra worked with his hands. I love this series and can’t wait to return to Paradise. Seriously, I’m booking my ticket right now.

Another cute story in Paradise Alaska between two strong and stubborn individuals. Marnie is a LA lawyer with an interesting background she thought she left behind but something about Paradise Alaska and a rugged mechanic named Cobra brings it out in her. Cobra was uninterested in the matchmaking endeavor from the beginning until he sees Marnie, who wasn’t even supposed to be there, and something inside him changes. Can these two be more than a weekend fling or will their strong personalities clash too much?

Marnie and Cobra has chemistry together and strong personalities. Marnie brings out the protectiveness in Cobra and his strong desire to see her happy. Marnie is overwhelmed by her feelings for Cobra and unsure how they fit in the life she’s built. Once they realized what was important to them and each other, they were able to meet in the middle and both be happy moving forward.

Finding Paradise is the second book in Barbara Dunlop‘s Paradise Alaska Romance series and I hope Raven and Brodie’s story is the next one in the series. These books are well written and easy to read small town romance stories set in beautiful Alaska.

Thank you @netgalley and @berkleypub for this eARC in exchange for my honest feedback.

I was more than ready to read this book. I enjoyed the first book in the series, so I was definitely excited that I received the eARC of the second book in the series.
I have to say that it took a bit to read this book. I truly did not connect with the character's chemistry with each other. It felt too forced at first. They are the complete opposite of each other, and I really don't understand how they will complement each other. But the more I read, the more I understood how perfect they are for each other. They know their faults within each other and that they have no expectations of their relationship. But yet they form something deeper as they spend more time with each other. That's the beauty of time.

Love this series and what is not to love. Brave women and hunky men are at the heart of the story. How can a LA woman and a Alaska man ever get together. That is the heart of the story. Loves both Marnie and Cobra. Neither are interesting in finds romance so when all the women arrive both take off to be alone. Guess we all see what is about to happen. Can't wait for the next book in the series. Works as stand alone but read book one first to get all the background.

Thanks to Berkley for an advanced copy of Finding Paradise!

I was excited to read Finding Paradise as I love Alaska romances! I got Match Made in Paradise so I was all caught up on the series, though this could be read as a standalone, I recommend reading both!

These books had some Simple Wild vibes with city girls come to Alaska and the pilot vibes, but in a totally different way. Finding Paradise really starts where Match Made in Paradise left off with the matchmaking project underway. Mia's lawyer friend Marnie tags along on the trip to Paradise with the 12 women selected for the matchmaking project. While Marnie might look and act like a tough LA lawyer, she grew up in Kansas and might be a little more at home in Alaska then she cares to admit. Cobra is an aviation mechanic and while he's judgmental of the matchmaking project, but he's drawn to Marnie.

This is a fun contemporary romance and I really enjoyed falling in love with Paradise, Alaska!

I really enjoyed reading this book! It's about lawyer Marnie who ends up in Alaska for a matchmaking project where she meets Cobra but her LA lifestyle is not something that she wants to give up. So when I started this book, I didn't know this was book two of the series but apparently it could be read as a standalone which is great! I really enjoyed the story plot line which I was hooked from page one. The author's writing is very well done as it was entertaining with many romantic conflicts thrown in. The pacing was well done but I have to say that the story kind of dragged on longer then necessary. Other then that the writing was well done.

This book is written in both Marnie and Cobra's pov. Marnie is a lawyer who had a hard past and made a new life for herself while Cobra ran away from the city life. I enjoyed both character's story and seeing their character development. There there are the side characters who are very well written along with the main characters and I can totally see some potential books coming for them. The main characters from book one are mentioned in this book as side characters and now I need to read their story as it sounds like they had an enemies to lovers romance. Well for the romance in this book, it was friends to lovers also instant love. The romance was really cute and an enjoyable story but I wished their were steamy scenes as a couple would have sex but you don't notice they are until they say they did.

The ending was well done and I can't wait for book three. I just love how this book takes place in Alaska with hot guys with great romance. I wish it was more steamy for my liking but overall this book was amazingly written. I totally recommend reading this book as it's totally worth it. It's perfect for fans of Schitt's Creek and It Happened One Summer.

I love romance set in Alaska. This book really takes you there and makes you want to travel to Alaska! This story is cute and the relationship between Marnie and Cobra is so sweet. Especially since they are such opposites. There are lots of fun side characters as well!

Does a big city girl meet the man of her dreams in, FINDING PARADISE, the second book in the, A Paradise, Alaska romance series? Marnie Anton, a lovely L.A. Lawyer, impulsively hops on a plane with a select group of ladies looking for love in Alaska. Marnie's friend Mia starts a match-making group for the men in Paradise. Everyone needs somebody, right?

Well, turns out, Marnie has a secret admirer as soon as she hops off the plane.
Conrad "Cobra" Stanford notices the beautiful redhead among the group of women. Cobra, a calm, muscular dude and ace mechanic/pilot for the airlines, thinks the romance project is ludicrous. However, after spotting the pretty lady, he is thinking differently. Upon meeting Marnie he can't stop thinking about her.

Marnie is equally smitten with Cobra. He oozes sex appeal and revs her engines. She isn't in the market for a man but there's something special about Cobra that makes her heart race. Can it be that they are the perfect match?

FINDING PARADISE is bursting with sex appeal, hormones flying, and crackling humor that will have you falling in love with Ms. Dunlop's new story. Marnie is a feisty lady and is not put off by big, manly men. Cobra is my new leading man. I love the tall, strong, silent, protective type. They get me every time! The author knocked it out of the park with this fantastic sequel to the Paradise, Alaska series. Definitely get yourself a copy because FINDING PARADISE is hot stuff!

I have to say I love books that take place in Alaska. Therefore, I had a wonderful time reading this book. I felt like I was on an actual vacation. I had no idea what to expect from this story since I didn't read the first book in this series. Marnie and Cobra are opposites, who help push each other get out of their comfort zones. I loved it! I want to go back and read the first book. I will be sure to look out for the next one in the series as well. This was a fun and dreamy read!

Marnie is a successful lawyer, she's always the responsible friend. Her friends talk her into helping with a matchmaking project, and she decides to take a chance on it. They want to take girls from LA to Paradise Alaska and set them up. Marnie decides this could actually works and goes with her friends to Alaska. She meets a man there that makes her question her sensible life. Conrad is a former military man that has no time or interest in city women. He thinks the matchmaking idea is ridiculous but Marnie catches his eye. Marnie and Conrad connect immediately and their connection is pure fire. They surprise and challenge each other as their relationship grows. I really enjoyed this story! Finding Paradise is sexy, fun and dreamy!

Finding Paradise is a good addition to the first in the series. Cobra was as sweet as I hoped he would be. Cora was a bit stiff at times but she really learned to go with the flow. I did find it a bit repetitive at times but enjoyed it nonetheless.

Thank you to @berkleyromance for this book. I love books set in Alaska and the opposite attract trope. Marnie and Cobra seems like such an unlikely match and I love that Marnie is such a bad ass with guns and being able to fix cars. I adore the other characters in this book and now need to go back and read Mia’s story.

In this second book in the Paradise, Alaska series, the author focuses on uptown girl Marnie Anton, a shiny LA lawyer for Mia’s fashion enterprise (whom we met in book one). On an uncharacteristic whim, Marnie boards the second flight of single women heading for a weekend in Paradise, a scheme Mia cooked up to help bring romance to the men of the town. When Marnie deplanes, Cobra is drawn to her immediately. He’s the quiet giant who serves as the town’s aviation mechanic, one of the few in town who think the romance weekend ventures are ridiculous. He’d planned to lay low while the women were about, but he can’t take his eyes off the petite redhead, and soon, sparks are flying.

Barbara Dunlop is really good at creating appealing characters. When I finished book one, I had a feeling she would feature Cobra in the next, and I couldn’t wait! In this story, you know Cobra and Marnie are perfect for each other, which they quickly acknowledge to themselves and each other. The only mystery is how they’ll come together due to their big city/small town divide. In the meantime, Paradise is a great setting with a lot of fun people in it, and I can’t wait for the next installment.

Thank you to Netgalley, the publisher, and Barbara Dunlop for allowing me to read & review this e-arc before pub date.

I love reading books that are set in Alaska, especially when they’re romance books with a brawny, mountain man. This book was a fun one to read. I loved the plot and the idea of Marnie being roped into this matchmaking scheme. I really enjoyed reading about Marnie & Cobra’s relationship. It was amusing and adorable.

Being an Alaskan myself, I had to read Finding Paradise.

It was a cute romance set in my favorite state. Marni and Conrad's journey together is cute and slightly amusing. Dunlop has created a such a cozy "vacation" feeling read that's adventurous and thrilling for both main characters.

Definitely give it a try! 3.5/5

Marni gets roped into joining a matchmaking scheme that brings women from LA to Paradise Alaska to meet the brawny men there. Cobra works for the local aviation business and wants no part of this scheme. Until he meets Marnie. Over parole hearings, cupcakes and wife packing the two begin to fall in love. But what can they do when she lives in LA and he lives in Alaska?
This is an entertaining read, refreshing and appealing. The characters are real and endearing and the plot is at times amusing and at times sensuous. A perfect blend. This is part of a series but could easily be read as a standalone. I would recommend this book to my patrons.

This is a book you will want to buy. The two main characters are Marnie and Cobra. They meet in Paradise, Alaska. There is a matchmaker group that goes to Alaska. Cobra does not want a wife and Marnie does not want a husband but they eventually find love.
