This was such a cute story!! It made me so excited for the upcoming holiday season. I definitely recommend if you want to read something lighthearted and fun!

Sadly, I didn't love the writing style or the characters as much as I'd anticipated. (They were a bit too twee/excitable for my taste, frankly). And for some reason I missed the fact that these are teens (given the central premise is a continent-swap for the holidays...I really figured this was about adults. My bad.)

This book was read thanks to NetGalley.

This is a story that I recommend to teens because is really lighthearted, it gives you the Christmas spirit, you are given two love stories and two different personal journeys to happiness, i recommend this book for those who enjoy teen stories and light romance. .

A sweet, funny YA rom-com about two girls who swap places for the holidays - aptly described as a teenage version of the movie The Holiday - written in a very chatty style (complete with emojis) and alternating between the two as narrator.

Elle is a social media influencer living in New Jersey who thinks a trip to the UK for the holidays might give her Instagram account the boost she needs to win a competition and Holly is a Christmas fanatic living in a small English village who decides that she needs to spend the perfect Christmas in America when her holiday plans at home start to unravel. The two swap places and spend the week before Christmas checking off their lists of festive things to do, finding romance and realizing that the magic of Christmas is really spending it with loved ones.

I love Christmas travel so thoroughly enjoyed that the girls each spent a day sightseeing in two cities that have the most magical vibes during the holiday season - Elle in London and Holly in New York City. There's also an important message throughout the book about cyber-bullying and the Instagram vs. Reality side of social media that I think will resonate with readers of any age. And as a bit of a Christmas fanatic myself, I can definitly get on board with Holly's rules for the holidays: 1) never say no to a festive hot drink and 2) never wimp out on the high notes in Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas Is You".!! Blame it on the Mistletoe is perfect for the teen (or really anyone who loves a festive YA rom-com) on your holiday shopping list!!

Unfortunately, this will be a DNF for me. I didn’t connect with the writing style. It felt very elementary and the characters weren’t my favorite. I think if you want a fun Christmas read then this might be great for you, I just wasn’t loving it!!

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the chance to read and review this book!

This was a great romance to get people into the Holiday Spirit. It was a quick light read and it had great characters. The beginning takes a little bit to get into but once the swap happens the book really gets going and its hard to put down. It's a book that could be read in one sitting. If you are looking for a heart warming holiday read this is a great one to add to your list.

This was such a perfect and cute reading for Christmas!
This book is filled with funny, cute, lovely, and of course, Christmassy moments. And I loved it.
I loved the dual POV of Holly and Elle. They're so different but amazing in their own way. Although there were moments, I was so frustrated with both. I also liked Nick and Fred they were super cute. And Ruby, although we didn't see her much. But I especially loved Holly and Elle's friendship.
I loved the two Christmas settings. One small village in England (there's also a London appearance), and a small city in the States (there's also a New York appearance). I loved how Beth Harrod wrote them. It made me feel all the cosy Christmas feelings. It made me want to spend Christmas in both places!
It really surprised me that the characters were so young. I don't know why I thought they were older. So I thought it would be filled with teenager drama, but thank God it wasn't (woohoo!). Sorry, I'm just SO done with that.
I highly recommend this book if you're looking for a cute, fun, lighthearted, and heartwarming Christmas read.

So adorable - and perfect in time for the holidays. It reminded me a little bit of the Twelve Dates of Christmas. Highly recommend!

I know, I know, it's not even Thanksgiving yet and here I am already taking about Christmas reads. I can't help it. There are just so many good holiday books already coming out. Like this one which is unabashedly a take on the movie THE HOLIDAY. In this YA version of that trope, a US girl and a UK girl swap homes for Christmas, have all the festive fun, and discover truly magical romances too! It's all kinds of adorable and heartwarming, filled with Christmasy traditions from both sides of the pond, funny friends, and rom-com shenanigans. I loved every holly jolly page.

This was an adorable Christmas book! I read it in the span of 24 hours. I don’t know what it is about YA, but if I am in the right mood, I can tear through these stories! I think it’s fun to read books involving Instagram since we all love this community and can relate. Although this does focus on the toxicity that exists on IG, not necessarily Booksta though. I feel sometimes like it’s a different world for us book lovers. I also really enjoy books that involve characters switching places...although I don't know about high school students heading off to completely different countries! That felt a little stretched to me, but I could ignore it enough to get wrapped up in the story. I also struggled to understand why Elle's parents made a deal with her about how quickly she could grow her online followers. That was kind of strange, especially given what she's gone through in the past due to social media. It didn't really make sense.

Regardless of those two things, I can recommend this one if you enjoy Christmas, YA, a little life switcheroo with characters, and high school romance!

Is it too early to read a Christmas novel? I don't think so and Blame It on the Mistletoe brought me right into the Christmas spirit. I adored this book. This book is perfect for fans of The Holiday (me!), turning it into a great YA romance. It is a perfect cheesy rom-com that had me flying through the book. I highly recommend this book!

This book follows two teen girls trying to have the best Christmas ever. It might not turn out exactly as they planned, but it might just be exactly what they needed. This books was adorbs (and if slang like that or “pleeeeease” bother you, reader be warned) I loved the dual POV and it definitely put me on the holiday spirit. The plot really took off towards the end, and I loved how everything wrapped up. Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for an e-arc in exchange for my honest review.

If you're a fan of the movie The Holiday, but want it to be a bit younger, then this is a book you might like.

Elle is a social media influencer. She's determined to gain more followers before Christmas time, so she asks a British fan to swap lives with for Christmas.

Holly loves everything about Christmas. But after a mortifying mistletoe disaster with her ex, her perfect plans unravel like a bad Christmas sweater. Can Holly save the holidays when she switches places with favorite social media influencer?

This was a really cute book. I think if I was a bit younger, I would've appreciated it more. The dialogue was a bit too young for me, and was a bit slow at times. But I still think the story was cute, with an interesting plot, and has the perfect holiday vibe with some romance sprinkled throughout the story.

When two heroines switched lives by living with each other's families, they didn't expect their lives to change. The U.S.-born heroine is a social influencer and to gain more followers, decided to switch lives with one of her U.K.-born followers. Both are trying to escape their own problems. Will they find resolutions and love during the holidays?

This is an enjoyable YA holiday romance. Each heroine were distinct and their individual journeys throughout the book were entertaining to read in different ways. It has that holiday vibe flowing throughout the story and that vibe definitely made the story better. I did think that it needed more details in certain parts and that some other parts were not really necessary in the story. Overall an entertaining read.

Thank you to NetGalley, the author and publisher, for providing with an advance copy in exchange for an honest review. This is a fun YA Christmas romance, that takes a holiday swap, and combines it with contemporary social media. It's funny, and clever in places, with a huge dose of cuteness. However, even though it's supposed to be dose of holiday social media fun, it's almost too cheesy and too unrealistic. I did read ahead in a couple of spots, when it began to lag, but the pace did pick up, and it's a fast read. Very relatable right now with the overall premise of the book and the social media, Instagram-type references.
