What Do You See is a picture book for children that is an easy and quick read that promotes, in a fun way, perception and focus. It reads in a similar way to the “I Spy” books where the book tells you there is an image and you can take the time to find it in the vibrant illustrations drawn by Jane Heinrichs. The diversity in the town drawings was much appreciated as well, especially because it’s important for children to know that people come in different shapes and colors and means of dress. I feel that picture books such as What Do You See would do better with a rhyming format, as, in my experience, children enjoy the undulations of rhyming words. Overall an easy and colorful read that any child would pick up again and again.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an electronic copy to read and review.

This book was so cute! It will be a perfect board book for a child's first library. There is a gentle rhyme, detailed illustrations, and an introduction to vocabulary words that are common for most kids - bug, train, bear, dog.

What Do You See? by Sarah N.Harvey is a very cute children’s book! It has beautiful pictures that could be used to engage the little readier by asking them what else they see! I like the rhyming and thought it was very age appropriate. Overall, very cute book to have at home or in a early learning classroom.

A fun and interactive picture book for young readers and it is perfect for siblings to read together.

This is a lovely book written from the viewpoint of a baby. The words are written in rhyming verse. The verse starts out with what do you see and as the child grows they are looking at different parts of their world. It starts out on the floor and moves to crawling and on to the park. The opposite page from the verse has a photo that parents can play the can you find blank game. Beautiful illustrations in the story.

My 4 year old enjoyed helping me find the items mentioned, the art is really good, and the cute premise is fun. Overall, this is a really good book, but I don't know if it is a "must-have".

It is a cute board book, but nothing about it really stood out to me. It is a fine young/early reader book, but it is not a must-read. I don't think it needs to be added to most library collections.

What Do You See? is a book about a little boy's view of his world, from each position he is in. It starts when he is lying on his back in the crib, seeing his mobile, to tummy time, to sitting up, finally ending with night time sights and sounds. All the interesting things that he sees are highlighted as the book goes on.

This book is great as "picture search" book for older kids, or a learning book for younger ones. It has great vocabulary that can be taught to kids, and the illustrations are gorgeous and engaging. I would recommend this to parents of babies and toddlers, up through children learning to independently read. All would get something from the book, and would be engaged easily with it.

Thank you to the author, illustrator, publisher and NetGalley for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
