Trade and Nadia
Nadia is a private investigator who is asked by the woman who was a second mother to look into the conviction of the woman’s son. But the son is accused of killing the girlfriend of Trade, connected with the Fast and Fury MC. And Nadia is getting involved with Trade. Conflict of interest much?
Although this is part of a series it can easily be read as a standalone, though our library does have others in this series. The investigation is fast paced and interesting. It took a while to figure out the killer. The only thing that didn’t feel right was how the killer confessed so easily. That said the characters were otherwise believable and likable and the plot was fun. I would recommend this book to my patrons.

Nadia is a private investigator hired by an old family friend that practically raised her to look into the wrongful conviction and imprisonment of her son, the only problem, he was convicted in the death of someone she is currently friends with and not sure she wants to open that can of worms. Trade is struggling to deal with the death of a loved one all while raising four kids on his own, but a renewed acquaintance with Nadia has him realizing there’s more to life. Unfortunately as their relationship heats up so does the mystery surrounding this murder trial. This book is part of a series (two really) and while you don’t have to have read the previous ones to enjoy this one you’ll definitely get a better understanding. Both leads are strong characters with soft insides. There is a loose tie to a MC but this romance is more of a suspenseful intrigue as you race to solve the puzzle (although there’s definite heat and sexual tension between the two ) and some tender moments especially with the kids. The end, when you find out the truth was devastatingly good. 4.5 stars. I received an arc copy of this book from NetGalley and the publisher for my honest review.

ARC received for review

We've seen Nadia in all the other books since she is Bronte friend and former boss. And Trade too since he is Bronte's new boss. Now why did Trade have to have that tragedy happen to him, and all the kids were confusing. I needed a better reminder cause the explanation of them (I think) was in the previous series. And let's talk about the bad guy...what the feathers....no, no, just no.

Now will there be more books with the three new prospects.

Caught between two different familial relationship, Nadia is balancing on a very thin line. A childhood friend, Damon, is jailed for killing a friend from her new set of friends. When said Damon's mother comes begging for Nadia to help look for answers, Nadia is torn. Damon's mother was her mother figure for years. Her new friends have been supporting her through the more current adult years. What does one do?
This is the third book in the series and can be read as a standalone.

Nadia is a strong female who is used to doing everything by herself. With both her parents deceased and as an only child, she doesn't really have blood family. What she's created over the years, is connections with friends who are now her chosen family - family of her heart. So when she needs to help an old friend that is in direct conflict with her new family, this tension becomes heartbreaking.

The conflict Nadia experiences pulls me into the story immediately. This is a tough situation and Ms. Fernando does an excellent job of showing Nadia's turmoil. Nadia is a person with integrity and she also likes to finish what she starts. So when she re-opens Damon's case, the facts don't add up. In addition, she's pissed off a few in the motorcycle club which is never good.

One of the members, Trade is the one who is most hurt with Nadia's investigation. Because her investigation involves his past that he is still not fully over. To complicate matters, their friendship starts to develop into a romance that neither expected. This situation just got messier. I liked how there are no good answers in this story. People act out and feelings are hurt. Seeing how people come back and apologize or resolve their conflict is a pleasure. So often making up from fights "fade to black" where magically things are better. Ms. Fernando shows how in real life, it isn't perfect and people make mistakes.

The conclusion of this story is a bit rushed for me. It felt a bit unfinished or perhaps half baked. The villain in the story seemed a bit too pat. Still, it did make for a good resolution. I am mixed about whether I liked the several leaps forward in time for the end. I think it played out well but it felt like I was reading a post script with PS, then PPS, then PPPS. I can't think of a way Ms. Fernando could have done it any different. I do like the added details because it feels like I see my happily ever after and what happens after. This erotica romance is recommended to readers who like strong female leads who struggles between putting her job or her man first.

Well, this took a few turns I wasn’t expecting! Not that they were bad in the long run at all. They were actually exactly what this story needed to feel realistic and to give what Nadia and Trade needed without being OTT sugary sweet fantasyland stuff. It was painful to know just how easily the dark side of someone upended Trade’s world, but it was also cathartic to know the truth in the end.

Nadia and Trade had a few issues along the way that may as well have been pulled from any couple’s arguments, and I absolutely adored Nadia for not being a pushover. She wasn’t unnecessarily mean and she didn’t play cruel games, but she had a lot to think through and she wasn’t sure if she was ready to spend her life being the consolation prize on the outside looking in. And she was right to stop and think because it wasn’t just her heart on the line. Or just Trade’s. And when she took Trade to task for spewing some deliberate nastiness during a fight, I wanted to cheer for her. Because we all know that one person in an argument blows off steam by saying things they don’t mean, then expecting it to be golden when they feel better. And Nadia didn’t allow Trade to play that card without first talking through the issue and what was said in anger.

As for Trade, he was 98% awesome. He was doing his best for his kids, his life, and the woman he was falling for. He just had a few things to sort out before moving forward. But once he got himself sorted out, he was full speed ahead and wasn’t about to let Nadia go. Not even some attitude from his children would slow his roll then. And I had to love the guy for it. He and Nadia managed to take an already blended family, blend it some more, and find the perfect balance for everyone involved, and isn’t that sort of what we all want out of life?

Now I sit and wait to see what comes next because I’m loving this series so far!

This book started off sad, and I was yelling are you kidding me..I did enjoy Nadia, I always have since she appeared in the first book as Bronte's friend and I am glad that she got her story and eventually her man and happiness in Trade, it just saddened me on how they got to that HEA. And I wish that the person that ended up being the bad guy, wasn't since he was a part of the story from the beginning as well I didn't expect it and it also saddened me that it would end this way..I don't want to give out spoilers, so writing this review was difficult. All in all I still enjoyed as I tend to do with all of Chantal's books.

Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me!

Chantal Fernando delivered a good, engaging and captivating book. She really makes you want to get down to the bottom of this story. This quick and fast-paced suspense read, had just the perfect amount of romance. I hate when books drag on.  I didn’t read the first two books in the series. This being the third book in the series, I didn’t feel that it was hard for me to catch on. This wasn't your typical dark and harsh biker book. I enjoyed how smart and strong Nadia was and Trade was super sweet.

Finding love again❣️

Custom Love is the next book in the Fast & Fury series and focuses on Trade and Nadia😍 Nadia is a private investigator with her own business, when a family friend asks her to investigate or better yet review her son’s conviction for murder claiming his innocence. Nadia is conflicted about getting involved as the person who was murdered is none other than Ariel, Trade’s deceased partner😢 Trade is attracted to Nadia, but will her investigation put their relationship at risk before it’s even started?

This story was one I could not put down, and at times a very emotional story because of Ariel’s kids but also the betrayal and secrets surrounding what happened to Ariel which is truly explosive and unexpected😳 I love these characters and hope we get to see them around for a bit still😁

I received an advanced copy via Netgalley and voluntarily leave my honest review❤️

Custom Love pulled me into the story right away. I could not put this book down. In fact, I read this front to back in one sitting. Custom Love gave me all the feels. Nadia is a strong, independent woman who falls in love with Trade, an alpha male with four kids. I really enjoyed following along on their journey to a happily ever after. Like every Love story, there are twists and turns, bumps and bruises, but everyone ends ups happy. After seeing Trade in prior books, I was relieved to see him finally get his happy ending with an incredible woman. I felt they were perfect for each other. I really adored Trade and Nadia's story in Custom Love. This was a good read.
