I am a big fan of manga and always want to try new ones. I simply chose this one because of the cover and after reading the premise I just wanted to read it even more.
All in all I quite enjoyed this volume and I think I will keep reading this series.

3.5/5 stars!

This was an enjoyable start to the series! The art style is beautiful and very detailed and I had no issue understanding the translations.

The plot was interesting and took me by surprise! I thought it would follow a typical Isekai, but I enjoyed the jump in time instead! It was a nice spin. I hope we get to see more of Leticiel learning about her previous life and discovering what happened.

However, I'm still wondering about the series name as Her Royal Highness didn't seem to be overly angry?

I absolutely loved the characters in this story! The art style was beautiful and the pacing was really easy to follow.
If you're looking for a new manga to read then totally consider picking this one up.

I really enjoyed this manga. At first, I thought I wasn’t going to like it because I thought the first chapter was too simple and fast paced but that’s just because it was an introduction to Leticiel’s life. The next chapters are really interesting and I loved following Leticiel in her new life. The art is quite good and easy to follow. I am already in love with all the characters, except the mean ones of course. I can’t wait to read the next volume.
I recommend this manga to anyone looking for some magic and adventure.

I loved this manga. The storyline is very interesting. Letty is a sorcerous princess. Her kingdom loves her. She is kind and powerful. Her kingdom is attacked and there is a massive battle. She wakes up in an unknown bed with an unknown face. She is being called a different name and everyone despises her.

I am so excited for this story. I can not wait to see what happens next. Thank you netgalley for my copy!

ENGLISH REVIEW:

First manga I read in english and I must say that I found it interesting! Despite its title that I don’t really like, the pretty cover which didn’t let me suppose what the genre of story will it be and the drawings to which I wasn’t sensitive but which are nevertheless very beautiful and soft, I appreciated this reading which was sweet, surprising and overwhelming!

In a remote kingdom, there lived a princess, adored by her subjects and wielding powerful magic. But as her land was ravaged by an endless war, she lost everything: her people, her family, her loved ones, and eventually, her own life. Until she opened her eyes and awoke in a place she’d never seen before!

A thousand years have passed, and she finds herself reincarnated into someone else's body. Realizing the person she's now living as is despised by her own family and even her fiancé, the former princess struggles to understand this new world and the events that have transpired since her death. There’s a lot to be upset about, but first on the list: how in the world did future magic turn out so lame?
¤
This is a introductory first manga of the series that made me mixed about it, especially at the beginning. From the start, we follow Leticiel, this famous princess as beautiful and powerful as her magic could be. We see her interacting with the people around her and we discover through magnificent drawings the kingdom over which she reigns. I must say that we don't really have any information about her character, except that she is a princess, that she actually practices sorcery, which is very different from magic, and that she had married Nao, a young man whom she had taken in several years ago and with whom she had fallen head over heels in love over time. What the princess went through was overwhelming. It was hard and touching and I felt so sorry for her.
Very quickly, this first book unsettled me. I was unsettled by the turn of events because, as announced in the summary, we go from this time when Leticiel was the princess of the Regenrose kingdom to 1000 years later, when the protagonist suddenly wakes up in the body of another, Lady Drossel Noa Filiaregis, as she was dying.
Really, I was surprised because I didn’t expect the story to be like this and I must say that if I was perplexed at the beginning of my reading, over the pages, I became more and more curious about this reincarnation and the future adventures of Leticiel.

Her Royal Highness Seems To Be Angry
By Kou Yatsuhashi

I found it a little hard to get into the story but when I did I couldn't put it down.
I cryed when her true love died and when she woke up a thousand years later I was a shocked reader, did not see that coming.
I liked the whole academy approach and the art wasn't bad.

Rating: 3 stars

I liked the concept of this book where it is going as well as how this book sets up for the next volumes. However, I was not sure where it was going until about 60% into the book. I do like the story line that was set up, but I don't like things in the synopsis to happen 50% into the book. I think this is going to be a really cute love story and I am interested in continuing with the series.

This manga was not what I expected it to be going in. First off, there's a lot of set up. At first it seems like it's maybe an isekai following Nao, the male protagonist in the opening chapters, but halfway through BAM! Then the real story, which follows Princess Leticiel waking up in a new body in a place (or time) very different from her own. For the title being about her being angry, Leticiel is remarkably calm and even-keeled, at least in this first volume. I expected there to be more anger! She's just incredibly powerful, but not angry so much as sort of... bemused.

This is the first in the series, and I'm not sure I'll be reading any more. The art style is gorgeous, but the storyline just didn't capture my interest.

In this manga, we follow Princess Leticiel as she goes from being herself during war and death to her dying and being resurrected into someone else’s body a thousand years later.

The story was interesting! Though it did become confusing at times, mostly because our main character is confused and doesn’t know anything about who she is, where she is or anything at all beyond her name.

I wish we had gotten more of Leticiel before she died because I found her city and that setting very intriguing. I mean, it had giant murder lizards! But alas, I still enjoyed her in her new body and setting.

I think with her magic and past memories, we’ll get to see her discover more about what’s going on and who these new people are. As well as why she was resurrected in the first place! Overall, I liked this first volume, I hope we get more answers and information in the next volume.

Though a bit too fast-paced for its own good at times, Her Royal Highness Seems to Be Angry has the bones of an intriguing fantasy, with a feisty heroine, a fascinating premise, and a compelling mystery. As a starting block, it works well, giving us just enough information to keep us interested, while still leaving plenty of mysteries to keep the audience hooked. I know I'll be picking up volume two to find out more about the adventures of our time-displaced heroine and the eerie villain that pursues her.

I love a good Isekai manga. Whether that means reincarnated into a new body, or your own body, I just really enjoy the dynamic the story has the opportunity to explore.

I like the magical plot line where the main character, Leticiel/Drossell, is capable if accessing a magic that is lost to the world. I look forward to seeing how the story progresses and how her past life plays into her new life.

The main thing I would say about this manga is that I feel like it would be better if they didn't lump her "past" life all at the beginning of the novel. It would have been more interesting as a reader if her memories were interspersed throughout the novel as she came into contact with the things she remembered.

Okay, small spoiler: I knew I was going to love this as soon as I requested it. I have the biggest soft spot for "powerful girl gets reincarnated into a different time where everyone hates her and shows them up" stories and Her Royal Highness DELIVERED. If there are any fans of They Say I Was Born a King's Daughter or Peerless Alchemist out there, you are sure to love this new manga! The well-loved Princess Leticiel with an adoring family, peaceful kingdom, and loving husband loses everything when her country is invaded, including her life. When she wakes up 1000 years later, she's in the body of Lady Drossel Noa Filiaregis, a noble girl with a family and fiance who hate her. And what's worse, the magic in her new timeline absolutely sucks, and the appearance of a boy in the academy who looks just like her old husband is not uncomplicating things.

The beginning part seemed a little long to me given the length of the novel, but it does set up Leticiel's relationship and powers well. I'm so curious about the worldbuilding and the difference between magic and sorcery, and I really hope this gets explained more in further volumes! There is a lot of set up going on in this first volume but still quite a bit of action, and I needed volume 2 yesterday. I will absolutely be continuing with this series!

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Princess Leticiel is the most powerful sorceress of her remote kingdom in a world ravaged by an endless war, after a period of happiness and peace, her world is shattered when due to a big attack she lost everything and everyone she loves. After her death, she opens her eyes to find herself reincarnated in a new place with the body of a girl named Drossell, a daughter of a Duke despised by all the people around her even her family and a so called fiancé. What happened?

I got more interested in the story than anything else from the first chapter. I loved Leticiel's character with her magical power and strong personality not a naive and simple girl in need of protection. I will be looking for the next volume.
