Great Scot - Suzanne Enoch
I do love a good Scottish tale. Continuing the McTaggerts storyline we have their cousin Brennan and companion Jane. I love that she is not terribly young. She is in her thirties and doesn’t see herself as tempting but lo and behold Brennan does. Suzanne gives us these characters who will keep you in their inner circle and bring joy to the season. Lovely!!

My Mistletoe Beau – Anna Bennett
Enemies-to-lovers anyone? I love type trope. Jack is kind of a grumpy and Eva just wants to make her father happy with bringing back the watch Jack so cruelly won off of him during a card game. Can two opposing forces make a go of their fake courting? Read and see the sparks fly. Fantastic read.

What more can one ask for to start getting ready for Christmas than three great stories by three fantastic authors! Well with this book you have hit the trifecta and the only other advice I can give is to hurry and start reading!

Charming.

A lovely three book holiday collection (although I learned a lot about Scotland not celebrating Christmas).
I liked that the novellas were pretty low drama and more light-hearted in tone. I especially liked Brennan and Jane's tale, as they were older.
Very enjoyable.

Recommend.

Kissing Under the Mistletoe celebrates Christmas holiday romance Regency historical style. In “Great Scot” Suzanne Enoch showcases a chance for love between a widower architect, Brennan Andrews, and Jane Bansil, a firmly on the shelf companion as the large, rowdy MacTaggart family congregates in the Scotland highlands. In Amelia Grey’s “Christmas at Dewberry Hollow,” Gate, the Duke of Notsgrave’s grandson and Isabelle Reed, an English countryside noblewoman innkeeper, are brought together out of love and duty to their family, only to discover an irresistible bond together, in spite of the time limit on their happiness. Anna Bennett’s “My Mistletoe Beau” finds Eva Tiding, the daughter of a widowed viscount, and Jack Hardwick, The Earl of Frostbough, at odds due to their parents’ past troubled connections agreeing to a fake courtship in exchange for returning something of high sentimental valuable.

Readers will cherish the time spent with the couples in this trio of atmospheric and steamy short romance stories. Enoch’s story is a breath of fresh air, a story about two quiet people normally overlooked in a romance story and their beautiful relationship. Grey’s hero’s evolution from a rich nobleman with no real purpose in life to a devoted man who is willing to sacrifice all for his beloved is sigh-worthy. But Bennett’s outing steals the show with a couple who goes from near-constant verbal sparring to a deep love bond in a believable and utterly ravishing way. Fans of holiday romance will get three different but all enjoyable kinds of stories to enjoy in Kissing Under the Mistletoe.

The Scottish Highlands, an inn on the outskirts of town, and a Christmas house party set the mood for three heartwarming holiday novellas: Great Scot! by Suzanne Enoch, Christmas at Dewberry Hollow by Amelia Grey, and My Mistletoe Beau by Anna Bennett.

My personal favorite was the last story, from Anna Bennett. From the first chapter, I couldn't put it down. It made me laugh and root for Jack and Eva! I wanted to keep reading but, at the same time, I didn't want it to end.

* I received an ARC and this is my honest review.

I truly enjoy reading Christmas collections as they help get me in a festive mood, even when the weather is warm. This collection of stories from Suzanne Enoch, Amelia Grey, and Anna Bennett hit the mark!

“Great Scot” by Suzanne Enoch
I was so happy to get another glimpse at the McTaggerts! This story features a cousin of the famous family, who has returned home to Scotland for the holidays. Jane Bonsil is a spinster who has been outcast from her family for helping her cousin (the first McTaggert bride) elope. Although she is taken by Andrew Brennan, she is reluctant to risk opening her heart. Andrew is scarred by his wife’s death; although he is smitten with Jane, he just wants to live a quiet life. I enjoyed watching these two older adults work together to overcome their own obstacles and welcome love. If you haven’t read the previous McTaggert stories, don’t fear, this can be read as a stand-alone. It can be a wonderful introduction to the Wild Wicked Highlanders series.

“Christmas at Dewberry Hollow” by Amelia Grey
Miss Isabel Reed is the daughter of an innkeeper and learned as a teenager that people come and go in our lives, sometimes never to return. Because of this, she knows not to fall for any guest at the inn. John Cabot Gatestone, grandson of the Duke of Notsgrove, is at the inn to help his grandfather find the tree he and his duchess carved their initials in years ago. Gate needs Isabel’s help finding the tree in Dewberry Hollow because one tree pretty much looks like the others. Amelia Grey captures the festive mood of the inn in her writing. I enjoyed the story but wish it had been longer so it wouldn’t have felt rushed.

“My Mistletoe Beau” by Anna Bennett
Eva Tiding breaks into the home of Jack Hardwick, Earl of Frostbough, to retrieve the watch he swindled from her father during a card game. Jack catches Eva in the act and offers a solution – the watch in exchange for pretending to be his fiancé. His grandmother wants him to settle down and this gives him the perfect opportunity to appear ready. I loved the witty, snarky barbs flying between Eva and Jack as they fought their attraction. This enemies-to-lovers story will warm your heart and get you in the Christmas spirit!

I enjoyed these three unique novellas. Each was engaging and a quick, fun read. They will bring a smile to your face, laughter to your heart, and get you into a festive Christmas mood! I highly recommend Kissing Under the Mistletoe and thank Suzanne Enoch, Amelia Grey, Anna Bennett, St. Martin’s Publishing, and Netgalley for an advanced copy. I voluntarily read the book and gladly leave my unbiased opinion.

It's no secret that holiday stories are my jam. I see them and I want to read them all. I'm so glad I stumbled upon Kissing Under the Mistletoe because it is the perfect book to get you in the holiday spirit. Comprised of three historical romances - GREAT SCOT by Suzanne Enoch, CHRISTMAS AT DEWBERRY HOLLOW by Amelia Grey, and MY MISTLETOE BEAU by Anna Bennett - each features a headstrong female whose life gets turned upside down by a little holiday spirit.

I enjoyed all three stories and look forward to rereading this book as the holidays get closer.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for sending me an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I loved the 3 stories, but the sweetest one is Great Scot, by Suzanne Enoch. Jane Bansil and Brennan Andrews are such nice people, still so unsure of how worhty they are!
This book will certainly be a nice companion for the holidays. Cheers!

This anthology is three separate stories, Enoch's is part of her Wild, Wild Highlander's series. I was delighted to read hers as I love that series. I've never read Amelia Grey and I enjoyed her story although the bedroom scene was less than satisfying for me. Anna Bennett is always a delight and I don't know if it's part of a series or not as I've not kept up with her at this time. This was fun holiday short stories to keep us until their next book comes out.

Suzanne Enoch's Great Scot, is an insta love story of companion Jane Bansil that we met in the first book, It's Getting Scot in here. She's Lady Andriss's companion now and she feels rather useless. Lady Andriss, Francesca, has come back to Scotland to visit her boys, and maybe reunite with her husband Angus. Jane is searching for her place in this world when she meets Brennan Andrews, a MacTaggart cousin who is an architect in charge of designing a home for Viscount Conn & Temperance. As she tries to decide whether to find a new post, go with Francesca on her trip with Angus or stay in Scotland, she spends quite a bit of time with Brennan. Soon she knows the answer.

Amelia Grey's Christmas at Dewberry Hollow, is an charming instant attraction story about Isabella Reed, aristocratic daughter of a Lady Innkeeper. It's a grand family's old country home run by the family who turned it into an inn, keeping with the great traditions of hospitality of old. They're in money trouble thanks to their allowance being cut by the young new Viscount in charge of the family. The Viscount want's Isabella to have a season and marry and is holding the allowance hostage. Isabella refuses to leave her widowed mother alone. The Inn hosts a visit of the old Duke Gatestone on a final quest before he passes. He and his recently deceased wife carved a heart in a tree at the Hollow, and he wants to visit it before he dies. He's there with his grandson John Cabot Gatestone. He and Isabella spend time together trying to find the tree and fall in love.

Anna Bennett's My Mistletoe Beau, is an enemies to lovers story. This was a fun story of Miss Eva Tiding trying to recover her beloved father's pocket watch he lost in a card game to the Jack Hardwick, Earl Frostboug. Jack is a duke's heir & a rogue with an icy hard heart. She's a romantic trying to recover a watch given to her father by her mother. Apparently the Duke was engaged to her mother when she fell in love and eloped with Eva's Father. There's is bad blood between the two families. Jack's hard heart is from his father's withdrawal from everyone with his own broken heart years ago. When he hears both sides of the story and spends time with Eva things change.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Three heartwarming, unrelated stories, set at Christmas, which have all the feels.
Great Scot is related to the MacTaggerts, but works as a standalone. Jane feels like an outcast in her own extended family and considers leaving for work instead burdening her family. Meeting Brennan reopens her heart to love, family and dreams of a future. Brennan, a widower, meets Jane and he finally feels a spark which he hasn't felt in years. Christmas magic, and a bit of help from family, brings these two destined together.
Christmas at Dewberry Hollow is like a Christmas fairy tale come true. Isabelle, resigned to working at life at her family's inn, though she is the daughter of a peer. A chance meeting with the grandson of a duke has her rethinking her life, but she remembers how her mom's heart was broken and guards her heart. Gate has never found his place within his family, but after meeting Isabelle, it opens his eyes to being more than a carefree bachelor. The search for a carved heart in a tree might just lead to love at Christmas.
My Mistletoe Beau is a fun farce of a fake engagement turned to love at Christmas. Eva just wants her father's watch and to honor a promise to her mother. Jack wants to appease his beloved grandmother and then cry off. But the more time they spend together at a country Christmas party has all the magic of Christmas to turn the pretend arrangement to a real love.

Three stories to get even Scrooge into the Yuletide spirit, sweet tales without being sappy and told well in the short format. I loved how the characters bravely sought love, even in those instances when it appeared that love might have passed them by. It's a reminder that all seems possible at Christmas. It helps that all three writers, Suzanne Enoch, Amelia Grey and Anna Bennett are so good at what they do. They can spin a tale quickly and well, infusing the stories with the spirit and delights of the holidays. (I received an ARC from NetGalley. Opinions mine.)

I received an advanced reader's copy of Kissing Under the Mistletoe by Suzanne Enoch, Amelia Grey, and Anna Bennett.

Great Scott by Suzanne Enoch is a wonderful story. I loved reading how Jane Bansil and Brennan Andrews get to their HEA. It was great to see characters from other books make an appearance.

Christmas at Dewberry Hollow was a lovely story. I loved the village setting and the interactions between Isabelle Reed and John Cabot Gatestone.

My Mistletoe Beau by Anna Bennett was a fun read. The opening scene was great and hooked me into the story. The chemistry between Eva Tiding and Jack Hardwicke, Earl of Frostbough sizzled.

This anthology is a great holiday read.

Three Christmas-themed stories by three talented ladies! I really enjoyed this book. These are all outstanding authors and their stories are all sweet romances with HEA's and passion!
The stories from Grey and Bennett are new characters (from what I saw) and Enoch's is a return to the MacTaggerts from her Wild Wicked Highlanders series.

Great Scot! by Suzanne Enoch - I absolutely adored reading about the MacTaggerts again after having read the series, it was like visiting with old friends! This time it isn't the brothers themselves involved although they are in it, but a cousin to one of the wives. Jane's story was so sweet and I was thrilled she got to experience the magic of the Highlands and fall in love.

My other absolute favorite was My Mistletoe Beau by Anna Bennett, the seduction scene is pure writing gold! So very good. I won't give any spoilers except to say that you simply must read this book! The chemistry between Jack and Eva is one of the best I have seen in a while.

Christmas at Dewberry Hollow by Amelia Grey is sweet, Isabelle mostly tries to deny her feelings for Gate and he tries to prove to her that they are meant for each other. The storyline was really well done in this. I really liked that Gates had a mischievous side to him.

I received an advanced copy in exchange for a review, however, these being three of my favorite authors, I would buy the book anyways to support them.

Kissing Under the Mistletoe
Holiday Anthology

Three historical holiday romance novellas to put you in the holiday spirit.

GREAT SCOT by Suzanne Enoch
Suzanne Enoch takes us to Scotland where a lady’s companion long past marriageable age finds her perfect match. This was a delight and reminded me of the series Wild Wicked Highlanders that Jane had a part in earlier. Loved her and Brennan together. (5 Stars)

CHRISTMAS AT DEWBERRY HOLLOW by Amelia Grey
Next was Amelia Grey’s story of an innkeeper’s daughter, really a lady, who meets her match when he brings his grandfather to fulfill a quest. Isabelle and Gates were perfect for one another. (3.5 Stars)

MY MISTLETOE BEAU by Anna Bennett
The final story, by Anna Bennett, has a dutiful loving daughter trying to get a treasured watch back for her father. Eva ends up in a fake relationship with Jack and over time some truths come to light for both of them. (3.5 stars)

Of the three stories, the one with Jane and Brennan was my favorite as they put a smile on my face and I could easily see them happy together forever.

Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Paperbacks for the ARC – This is my honest review.

4 Stars

From the Scottish highlands, to the bustle and tussle of London, to a hotel on the outskirts of town, three unforgettable authors bring the joy of Christmas romance in Kissing Under the Mistletoe.

Great Scot! by Suzanne Enoch
Miss Jane Bansil knows she will never have a fairy-tale moment. Well past the marriageable age, she’s taken a position as a companion and is now stuck in Scotland for Christmas, alone even in the middle of the boisterous MacTaggert family. But when Brennan Andrews, an architect and cousin to the MacTaggerts, arrives to draw up plans for a new family home, Jane must decide if she will take a chance at a happily-ever-after, or settle into her small, safe life for good.

Christmas at Dewberry Hollow by Amelia Grey
Miss Isabelle Reed has no plans to ever fall in love. She has a perfectly acceptable life with her mother at the Dewberry Hollow Inn, thank you very much. But when Gate, the Duke of Notsgrave’s grandson, appears at Dewberry Hollow searching for a carving on a tree, Isabelle cannot help but get involved. But Gate’s charm and their instant attraction makes Isabelle question if she’s willing to take her chance at love once again.

My Mistletoe Beau by Anna Bennett
Miss Eva Tiding is determined to cheer her widowed father with the perfect Christmas gift. Even if it means breaking into the home of the rakish Earl of Frostbough who swindled Papa out of his pocket watch. But when the earl, Jack Hardwick, catches her in the act, they strike a deal: she’ll pose as his fiancée in exchange for the watch. Falling in love is not part of the plan—but with a little Christmas magic, anything is possible…

A lovely novella as well as a delightful romance, Brennan & Jane were perfect for each other, we catch up with The MacTaaggerts

Christmas at Dewberry Hollow by Amelia Grey

But when Gate, the Duke of Notsgrave’s grandson, appears at Dewberry Hollow searching for a carving on a tree, Isabelle cannot help but get involved. A very enjoyable read, the banter was delicious & their attraction sizzled plus an entertaining grandmother.
Three well written enjoyable novellas ideal for whiling away a few hours

'Tis the time of year to begin preparing for the oncoming festivities, therefore there's no better time to snuggle up with this Christmas historical anthology and read three delightful romances full of seasonal cheer, promises and kisses!

Great Scot! by Suzanne Enoch – Those who have read any of the Wicked Highlanders novels, will rejoice at a reunion with the McTaggarts as they prepare to spend Hogmanay at their ancestral home at Aldriss Park. Great Scot is a delightful romance between Lady Aldriss's companion, Jane Bansil and architect, Brennan Andrews.

It's a heart-warming story about a spinster, who believes she's too old to find love, and a widower, who never expected to meet someone special again after the premature death of his wife. Set against the wild Highland landscape, the author delights us with cameo appearances of familiar characters, snowy landscapes and celebrations befitting wild men in kilts!

Christmas at Dewberry Hollow by Amelia Grey – Heartfelt, a wonderful story full of promise as Isabelle and Gate try and fulfil a frail old man's dying wish. It's a emotional story, full of compassion and highlights the vulnerability and struggles for senior people. However, against a task that appears to be fruitless, love finds a way.

My Mistletoe Beau by Anna Bennett – Bold and beautiful, Miss Eva Tidings meets her match after breaking into Jack Hardwick, Lord Frostbough home. It's a fun and frivolous enemies to lovers tale where feelings begin to take over, as their fake relationship and lies become more tricky to navigate.

Overall, all the novellas are brimming with seasonal festivities, love, friendship and snow! Prepare to indulge in a feast of Christmas' past in this marvellous collection of Christmassy love.
