This is such a cute book. The idea of using old song lyrics slightly changed to create a rhyming story about a puppy was an excellent choice. I highly recommend this book for children!
A cute picture book about homeless pup finding a home. It's a picture book reminder that it's important to adopt don't shop. And that animals are family.
This was such a cute book to read to little ones! The poor little Puppy was found all by itself until Jacques found it and named it Hope! As the story progressed we saw how the children’s lives and homes improved once their grandmother brought them home a dog from the adoption event.
Love!! My son is an animal lover and loved reading Hope's story. He was so sad that a little puppy could possibly be lost in the rain and absolutely love to see Hope's journey. A truly adorable story with beautiful illustration.
I loved this story about kids getting a dog and about a dog being adopted and finding a home. Cute and cozy.
A Home for Hope! by Margie Blumberg is a delightfully sweet book with some gorgeous, colourful illustrations.
Hope is a puppy, introduced to us during some April showers. A hero comes by to save her, making sure she doesn't get lost in the rain. Over the course of this book, Hope goes through the process of finding a home! What an exciting time for an animal!
This story is very sweet and the colourful illustrations make the book fun. It shows Hope and her soon to be family facing struggles at the same time, and shows that many people face the same emotions. But then, eventually, the sun comes out and people have a great day!
Overall, a wonderful children's book that I highly recommend!
Four out of five stars.
Thank you to NetGalley for providing me a free copy of this book in exchange of an honest review.
A Home for Hope is a cute story about family and a pet adoption. The book is kind of like two stories in one. The first story involves a family who moves to a new house and the book goes through what the family goes through to get there house to be their home. The second story is about a dog named Hope that is needing to be adopted and the journey Hope has to get adopted. As the book progresses, these two stories merge. This book would be perfect for any type of story time. Thank you to NetGalley and the Publisher for the opportunity to read this book. (This review is also on GoodReads.)
This is a cute book about a lost pup on the streets that gets rescued, named Hope! Simultaneously, there's a story about a family with 2 young kids who is moving away from grandma into a house that's a fixer upper! The story rhymes so fluidly and I love that the pup's name is Hope signifying Hope for the pup and the family! In the end a pup is just what is needed to cheer up the family after settling in and fixing up their home. The illustrations were also so fun and I loved the color used throughout!
I loved this book! As someone who has adopted a shelter pup, I found it to be a super sweet story. I liked the rhyming lines and think children would enjoy it too!
A Home for Hope! is an adorable book with beautiful illustrations! I loved this book and I know children and parents will as well.. It was easy to follow and I can't wait to add this to our library.
Thank you NetGalley and MB Publishing for this ARC!
Thank you NetGalley, Margie Blumberg and MB Publishing for the copy of A Home for Hope. This is my personal review.
I am always looking for books to give as gifts to my friend’s children. This is one for sure I will be buying for a gift.
The story is about a lonely dog Hope who wants to belong to a family. Hope wants a forever home. There is a family who move into a new home, but they feel something is missing.
The story is sweet and will make parents and children happy as they read it together.
The illustrations are wonderful.
I received an ARC.
My children will love this book. It’s a fun bonus to have an inspirational storyline that’s read to a specific tune. Often children’s books have good life lessons for all ages - the end of could be advice for anyone:
“And when there’s thunder. And lightening too. What follows after are skies of blue.”
Adorable little story about adopting a dog to complete a family and a home. Cute illustrations and just a very sweet little story about a really nice family and a dog. Definitely a must to teach the importance of adopting.
Thank you Netgalley for the e-book of A Home for Hope by Margie Blumberg in exchange for my review.
A Home for Hope is a super cute story about a little shelter pup named Hope who is waiting for her forever family. I loved how the book rhymed everything up to the very happy ending. I may have gotten teary eyed! The illustrations were really cute. I'd definitely recommend this book.
An absolutely adorable story of a puppy who is rescued in the rain, and taken to a shelter... where she waits for her forever family.
A family moves into their new house, and it does not feel like home till they adopt Hope...
There's a reference to the April showers bring May flowers poem... I feel that alludes to the children's feelings of sadness at moving out of their grandmom's place, which changes when they adopt Hope, who brings joy to their new home.
A heart warming book... I must get my nephews to read this.
The plot was adorable, but I did find this children’s book confusing. I think I would maybe the storyline of the Nana coming and going is what threw it off. Other than that this was sweet and adorable and hopefully encouraging to families to adopt a pup!!
A cute book about moving and making a new friend. The rhyming certainly flows and the illustrations are fun. We would have liked more of the dog in it, and felt she took a back seat to everything the family was doing, but it was otherwise a good book.
Thanks NetGalley.
This gorgeous story involving a shelter puppy and two young children missing their nana is delightfully written and adorably illustrated.
Told through the dual plot lines of Hope a stray puppy being picked up by a shelter worker and taken to a rehoming centre and children Chip and Kaye moving with their parents from their nan’s home to a new home of their own.
While Hope waits for a forever home the children are trying to make their new house feel like home. The renovations are complete but it still doesn’t feel right, until Nana Faye arrives with the new puppy she has adopted from the centre.
Home for Hope is a feel good rhyming story about family and belonging. Perfect for families that are thinking of adopting a rescue dog.
A picture book on a family that is moving and makes room for a dog named Hope from the animal shelter. Hope is not only the name for the dog but the message of hope. Their story will lead to conversation on what Hope really means and how it makes a family stronger. Highly recommend.
A special thank you to MB Publishing and Netgalley for the ARC and the opportunity to post an honest review.
What a gorgeous book about the power of pets to make our lives better! I wish I could adopt all of the homeless animals out there. This is sure to be loved by anyone whose heart has ever belonged to an animal.
