Absolutely loved this book, Phillipa Ashley draws you in with her descriptive narrative, I love the characters and found myself hoping Bo finds her Prince Charming!
I’m so pleased Angel found her passion, and I’m glad the ones who made her life unhappy got their comeuppance!

I loved every second of the story it made me want to visit Cornwall again!

Loved reading a Christmas book in the middle of April! I can read Christmas books all year round.
I love the way Phillipa writes Christmas books. Full of Christmas spirit, love, friendship and a little heartache. Always come together beautifully in the end!
Thanks to netgalley and the publishers and the author for the opportunity to read this book for my honest opinion

I loved Bo's story. She has been an intriguing character in the background of previous books so it was great to find out more about her story. Along with a large dose of Christmassy fabulousness, some fabulous dresses and awesome dance moves, this book is guaranteed to get you in to the Christmas spirit.

Phillipa Astley never disappoints. Christmas in Cornwall, well actually 12 months in Cornwall - Christmas to Christmas, rock and roll dancing gives a four star read.

Thanks to NetGalley for the advanced copy. I am an Indigo employee - this review is my own. (I meant to post this review pre-Christmas).

This is the first book I have read by author Phillipa Ashely. I requested it because I have a great fondness for Cornwall having explored the area a few years back. Also I love a good Christmas romcom to start of the holiday season.

I recommend this book to fans of any Hallmark Christmas movie where a strong, independent female lead realises the super hot guy she is dating is a complete jerk just before the holiday and has to suffer through the cheer of those around her while she is internally having a meltdown. With the help of great friends, the community she finds in her dancing group, and the predictions of a fortune teller, main character Bo learns to let people back in and find a new love in time for Christmas.

A Special Cornish Christmas is the first first book I have read by Phillipa Ashley. It is set in Cornwall, a place that I am beginning to suspect is a favourite amongst cozy romance writers because every book that I have read which is based in Cornwall, the description of the place is absolutely dreamy.

This is a Christmas book but the story takes place over the period of twelve months starting and ending around Christmas so I guess I could be forgiven for reading this late. There is heartbreak, a lot of rock and roll dancing and a bit of fortune. Overall a delightful read with an extremely gorgeous cover 😍.

My thanks to NetGalley, the publisher Avon Books UK and the author for the e-Arc of the book.

I really enjoy this author's style of writing and A Special Cornish Christmas was up to her usual standards. I absolutely fell in love with Bo on the first few pages, her warmth and vulnerability on display from the get go. After heartbreak, a fortune teller predicts Bo a different Christmas to the one Bo (and her friends) had imagined. Is Bo ready to open her heart again? The setting is Cornish Christmas cosy perfect. There are recurring character's from the author's other novels and the feel good factor is super high in this one. I devoured it over a January weekend.

I enjoyed this book as i have many of her others. This ond fdlz little repetitive in places though and probably cojle have been a little bit shorter.

Otherwise it would have been a 4 star unfortunately its only a. 3,. I think this is also the 2nd in a series which you wouldn't know unless you found out

Back in Cornwall in Falford with some new and old characters and the wonderful sense of community that Falford has . This book is beautifully written with well described, likeable characters and idyllic locations
Centred round Bo and Angels stories , the reader is drawn into the Cornish community . This is a feel good story which is highly recommended
Thank you to Netgalley, Avon Books and Phillipa Ashley for letting me read this book in exchange for an honest review

A Special Cornish Christmas by Phillipa Ashley was a great book. I was hooked from the first few pages and read it in one sitting. A great book which makes you feel in the Christmas spirit and all warm inside. This book will not disappoint.

Can anyone write UK Christmas chick lit like Phillipa Ashley? This book isn't overwhelmingly Christmas-y, it does take place over a year and wraps up at Christmas. I thought that using a fortune teller's predictions to frame a holiday book was a really unique take, and it kept me reading!

Having read and loved previous titles in this serious I think I made an error of judgement reading this one in January because although it was enjoyable I felt it just missed the mark. I was pleased to see the reappearance of Bo and find out more about her. In all the characters were lovely and I liked the subtle connection to A Perfect Cornish Summer.

For Bo Grayson, Christmas has always been the most wonderful time of the year. Well, until she had her heart broken last December…

When Bo Grayson and her friends meet a mysterious fortune teller, she gives each woman the same prediction: You will meet the love of your life by Christmas Day.

But Bo quickly dismisses this as nonsense. And with the festive season in full swing, she has plenty to keep her busy: creating the seasonal menu for her Boatyard Café, getting her rock and roll dance group ready for their Christmas show – and avoiding thinking about last December, when her fortune took a turn for the worse…

Besides, she definitely isn’t ready to open her heart again. But will fate – and perhaps a sprinkle of Christmas magic – change her mind?

What’s not to like set in Cornwall all Christmasy a great read in the festive season

Loved this book. Lovely Christmas read. It had me saying to the characters, yes and then no in the same breath. I did find in the middle it did loose me a bit, but picked up and wow I couldn't put it down. Another brilliant book by Phillipa Ashley. Looking forward to the third book in this series.

A feel-good Christmas romance based in the scenic Cornwall. A group of friends in the small village by the sea, are going to have their lives turned upside down.
Bo is left shocked and alone on Christmas day having had no idea of what was coming her way. Angel is left to deal with her husband’s disappearance and having to build a new life after 30 years. Ran is new to the village and is resistant to open up too much to his new friends.
An encounter at the Summer Fayre leaves them questioning, what does the future hold?
I really enjoyed this story and its combination of music, dancing and crafting threaded into the storyline added to the ambience nicely.
A relaxing and cosy read that is ideal to read whilst snuggled under a throw with a hot chocolate. A perfect Christmas novel from Philippa Ashley.
Thankyou to Philippa Ashley and Netgalley for giving me the opportunity to read and review this Christmas treat.

Really lovely festive read, beautiful scene setting, the Boatyard Cafe sounds like a dream of a place to curl up on a window seat in the warm with hot chocolate and watch the world go by. The storyline is gorgeous, wonderful empathetic characters that I felt connected to, and the mysterious Madame Odette adds a note of intrigue, lovely winter read
