Such a fun read! Loved this one!
Many thanks to the author, the publisher, and NetGalley for my ARC.
A great Christmas read but be prepared for themes such as sexual assault and infertility.
Artist Laurel returns to her childhood home following her divorce, just for a few months so she can support her sister and help look after her teenage neice who is also going through a difficult time.
As soon as she arrives, the first people Laurel bumps into are the Cassidy brothers, who she has been avoiding for years, stirring up lots of unresolved feelings and hurt.
Despite this, Laurel finds herself settling back in well. Can she overcome the demons and be happy again?
I must firstly apologise for the amount of time it has taken me to provide a review of this book, my health was rather bad for quite some time, something that had me in hospital on numerous occasions and simply didnt leave me with the time I once had to do what I love most.
Unfortunately that does mean I have missed the archive date for many of these books, so It would feel unjust throwing any review together without being able to pay attention to each novel properly.
However, I am now back to reading as before and look forward to sharing my honest reviews as always going forward. I thank you f0r the patience and understanding throughout x
This is a classic Sue Moorcroft read, as soon as I pick them up, I know I am guaranteed wonderful, writing, great characters and engaging and entertaining story, which may have me on a rollercoaster ride of emotions, but I know I’ll feel better for it when I leave the story. Always uplifting, always full of heart and an auto buy for me. Sue writes fantastic.books and this is definitely one of them
I adore her books. Lovely warm fuzzy feeling book. Thoroughly recommend reading to be transported to a winter wonderland. Couldn't wait to read it
Christmas romances hold a special place in my heart. Such perfect stories for the happiest time of the year and Under the Mistletoe delivers everything I like in Christmas romances
I received this and then received a paper copy - and it's that copy I read.
I like Sue Moorcroft and I like Christmas books so this should have been a perfect pairing. But it wasn't.
It wasn't, however, bad. I just found it hard to get started, and I didn't find the story as believable as others of hers she's written.
However, Sue is excellent at character creation and in setting a mood.
Under the Mistletoe - Sue Moorcroft
Sue Moorcroft has become an instant read author for me over the years as she always supplies the reader with a feel good escapism book. Laurel and Grady were just so easy to fall in love with, this is the perfect seasonal read with descriptions of a wintery snowy village. Thank you Netgalley and Avon Books UK for the e-arc, I can only apologise in the delay of my opinion
I am a big fan of Christmas novels and this one did not disappoint. Newly divorced Laurel is back in her home village a place she has not given much time to since she left under a cloud of darkness. However, her sister is poorly and needs her help and her niece needs her guidance. This is a lovely book that looks at the complexities of family life and how nothing is as ever straightforward as it seems. Like all good romance novels, it is full of secrets, intrigue and a lot of love.
Lovely feel good book to read. It was a joy to read. Lovely characters. Great plot. The book was charming. Very well written. I’d definitely recommend this book. Idyllic location that set the tone of the book to perfection. Perfect seasonal book to get you in the mood for the festive season. Sue is a great author. Just love all her books
Sue is one of the best Christmas authors. This book was a joy from beginning to end.
I loved e characters , the festive vibes and could almost smell the cinnamon.
Thank you netgalley for this arc.
A wonderfully festive read with so much heart and cosiness. Some heavier topics feature in this book, which I wasn't expecting but all handled so well.
A lovely festive return to Middledip I love discovering new characters who share Middledip as their homes. There is something so comforting about a Christmas book and with togetherness at its centre. I know this is an incredibly late review but it’s an enchanting read with a sprinkling of snow
I love the Middledip series and this was a very welcome, delightfully Christmassy addition. Laurel and Grady's reunion is bittersweet, but it's a joy to follow their story as they rediscover each other and look to the future. It's also great to catch a glimpse of some of the characters from previous books too and the ending will leave you as warm and glowy as a bottle of mulled wine.
I love Sue Moorcroft, so my reviews are only ever going to be glowing. As always you are transported into the world and are so fully immersed you could actually be there!
A lovely emotional read
Well written with some tough issues wrote about
There are many hurdles for loved ones to get over
Thanks NetGalley
sadly i didnt get a chance to read as I was working double shifts as an RN with covid and unfortuantly no spare time to read
What can I say except Sue always brings cheer to a dull day with her novels. You can guarantee a fantastic read and this story, despite dealing with delicate issues, didn’t disappoint. Sue deals with difficult topics thoughtfully and considerately. A definite read anytime of the year, not mushy for Christmas.
I received this novel as an advanced reader copy from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I enjoyed the Sue Moorcroft novel because the escapist fiction put you right in the setting at a magical time of year. Characters are relatable and have good chemistry. Perfect read gif the season!
Under the Mistletoe was an amazing book. I loved going back to Middledip and reading about some of the previous characters. The story tackled some big topics in a fantastic way and I thoroughly enjoyed the book. Cant wait for the next one.
