I really enjoyed this. The devotionals were excellent. I incorporated these 66 devotionals as part of my daily bible study and it really helped me to engage in prayer and to really to be at the table of Jesus.

A good devotional about the many aspects of Jesus. Louie Giglio invites you to "sit down at the table with Jesus" in your mind and spend time with Him. The response questions at the end of every day are thought provoking and something to really ponder as you spend time in prayer.

I received an eARC of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. All opinions expressed in this review are my own.

I am reviewing a copy of At the Table With Jesus through Thomas Nelson and Netgalley:

At the Table with Jesus is a sixty six day devotional that invites readers to sit at the table with the Good Shepherd, building a habit of living life with him. The journey starts in Psalm 23 but takes the reader throughout all of Scripture to build a stronger relationship with the God of the universe.

If you are looking for a devotional thar invites readers to sixty six days of rich engagements with the Good Shepherd, providing deeper truths, power, and connection to walk through life’s troubles.

If you are looking for a good devotional, to add to your personal Bible Study regime I recommend At the Table With Jesus.

Five out of five stars!

Happy Reading!

It all comes down to being at the table with Jesus. A great reminder daily of how we need to be eyes open to see and ears to hear throughout the Bible it leads us to Jesus. His everlasting love for us. Highly recommend At the Table with Jesus, as it will refresh your heart.

This book was my first exposure to Giglio, except for a couple of sermon excerpts over the years that have drawn me to want to read more. However, I was disappointed in this work.

I love the table of Jesus, but Giglio doesn't spend any time building it; he simply tells you that there is a table and you should put it in your mind that you are meeting Jesus there. Yet, every time you do, you learn something about Jesus that makes Him so much bigger, so much greater, so much different than you that this book did nothing but create distance between me and God (for me). On the off chance that we'd start to get close to a little bit of intimacy, there'd be some statement about Jesus as King or Lord or Creator of all things and it just took this Jesus who was ALMOST there with you and sucked Him right back up into the distant heavens where you can't touch Him.

I was also disappointed to see the book mostly full of intellectual propositions about God/Jesus - facts that we, as believers, should know about "who He is." Titles, names, power, etc. And I'm just...weary, I guess, of intellectual propositions. The greatest truth about Jesus is that He loves us. He loves you. And this book just doesn't do anything toward helping to foster that love, helping the reader to feel that love and that intimacy with God who reached across the heavens and came down in the form of a little baby to live with us. To walk with us. To breathe the air that we breathe. This world is just so full of things you should know and things you should believe and facts and data...it's hard to say that Jesus is all that important if that's all that He is, too - something you should know, a set of facts you should attest to for some reason. On the other hand, if Jesus actually loves you....man, that's a difference maker.

The gentle approach is to say that this book is simply not what I was expecting out of the title of it. It's not what my heart was wanting in these pages. But I wanted to put this review out there anyway in case maybe it wasn't what you were looking for, either. Maybe you were hoping there was more and this book fell flat on your heart of flesh, too. If so, that's okay. Yes, Jesus loves you, and I pray you find the words your soul needs to hear.

On the other hand, maybe you don't know much about this Jesus and this book is just what you needed. Maybe what you needed is a sense of His bigness so that you could start to draw yourself toward a deeper curiosity. If that is the case, then bless you - for He is certainly everything that Giglio has told you (which God Himself said first that He is). And He is even more than this. May you be blessed in your pursuit of Him and every beautiful discovery you make along the way.

This is a brilliant devotional by Louie Giglio, inviting the reader to discover (or rediscover) who Jesus is. Each day begins with scripture that is the basis for the day's devotion. Following a few quick paragraphs explaining the verse and drawing conclusions are a couple of questions for the reader to consider about those conclusions, plus a verse to memorize that applies that truth.

This is one of the best devotionals I've seen on what the bible says about who Jesus is. If you are interested in learning how Jesus described Himself, I can't recommend this book enough. If you are already a Christian, you will be reminded of Who you serve.

I would definitely buy a copy of this for myself and to give as gifts.

I really enjoyed this book and how it broke down things in each devotion. There were examples that made you really open your eyes. Louie did an great job at voicing everything in his writing.

Louie Giglio is an author and speaker who walks the walk and talks the talk. I'm thankful for him and for this book and the way it helps draw me to the Lord. Louie, thank you or the spiritual reminder to save a seat at the table and for the way you lead obediently and answer the call God has placed on your life. It is evident in every word of this book.

Definitely recommend!! Thank you Thomas Nelson Publishing and NetGalley for the ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Louie Giglio is an incredible Christian writer who seeks to build his reader's faith in ways never thought of before. At the Table with Jesus is one such book that will draw the reader in and inspire awe and worship.

This is not a normal devotional book, so many of the genre weave together a great thought without putting practicality behind those thoughts. What Louie has done is to take the thoughts and married them to actions. This is not a book that allows the reader to take a snippet and walk away unchanged. This is a book that challenges the status quo, encourages changes within the reader's life, and puts action to words. Can't recommend it enough!

Five Stars, Two Thumbs Up, and a seat at the banquet that will never be duplicated!
