Those Grandfathers are still at it trying to get their grandsons married. These older men who are Dukes have created the Duke Pact and are bound and determined to force or hog-tie this younger generation to do there duty and get married, have kids, and settle down.
I love these books because you never know how much interference the Dukes are going to use or if just by luck the grandsons might fall into a situation of love.
In this book the Marquess of Grayson is a rake and not one bit concerned that he is known for his flirtatious liaisons. He is intrigued by Kitty Bell the scholar.
Kitty Bell is a serious minded person and is more of a scientific brain child, but loves balls for the dancing.
This book is a definite Summertime Read because it keeps your attention and even though you have already figured everything out, there is still elements of surprise that you have to keep reading for the Big Bang effect!
I can’t wait to see Lord Dalton get his show down with a strong female presence!
I received a free advanced copy from NetGalley and these are my willingly given thoughts and opinions.

A good read that it well written.
I’ve read others in the series that are also good .
The sons of Dukes these men are at the mercy of their fathers, their allowances cut.
Then our Marquess meets a lovely lady, Kitty is very educated and bookish, she is the one who grabs his attention at A horse race and he can’t forget her.
Will the two hit it off?
I’m not going to give away any more that, it wouldn’t be fair.
This is a good story with some great characters that have their own books .
Enjoy x
I received an Arc copy of this book and chose to post this review
The Peer's Roguish Word, was okay but a little too scholarly and not much romance. I kept waiting for just one kiss or something slightly romantic.
Thank you to NetGalley, Dragonblade Publishing, and Ms. Archer for the opportunity to read an ARC of this title. An honest review was requested but not required.
This was another fun, clean regency romance. To be honest, this one really spoke to me, because I identified a lot with the h, Kitty. I too am a bookish, intellectual (do I flatter myself? ha) "nerdy" kind of person who needs some fire-lighting under the posterior to put the book down and go out and do stuff. And my significant other, like Grayson (this is not a spoiler, every romance reader knows how this formula works), is ALSO of equal intelligence - most days - but of distinctly different interests.
Once again I appreciated that this was a "clean", and therefore likely more realistic, romance. NOT to say that I don't enjoy the steamy ones too [I definitely do] but this is a nice change of pace. It must be said, though, that I came for the story (Kitty and Grayson) but stayed for the side characters. OMG. Delights abounded. LaRue! Crackwilder! Mrs. Herschel, Freddie, Kitty's delightful mother and father, Lord Dalton and Miss Danworth (both of whom I expect to see in the next book, frankly) ! So many terrific characters to enjoy. LaRue in particular was a delight. I don't speak any French but I could parse out some of his muttered commentary and he was an absolute treasure.
I won't recap the plot - the dust jacket/blurb does a pretty concise job of outlaying it. I wish the "villain" had been a little less obvious but I suppose Grayson wouldn't have been able to solve a mystery if it was any more difficult, LOL.
The ending was cute and frankly I thought this couple was one of the pairs in this series that actually grew to honestly appreciate each other and form a real connection. There was a certain amount of sighing over the others' attractive person, etc, but Kitty definitely grew to appreciate Giles' various talents and personality, whereas Giles matured a great deal over the course of the story and learned to apply himself. Overall I enjoyed this quite a bit and will look forward eagerly to the next.
Kitty Dell is an intellectual and has made certain scientific discoveries she takes a great amount of pride in. For now, though, she must put her books aside, as she is on her way to London for her launch season. She has at least the benefit of being introduced to various members of the esteemed Royal Society, and one particular gentleman-member does seem to hold a high regard for her intellect. If Giles Dermot, Marquis of Grayson, had ever heard of the Royal Society, he just as quickly forgot it. He hasn’t forgotten Miss Dell, however. He met the lady at Newmarket and was instantly charmed. He realizes she considers herself bookish, but certainly she will throw over her learned pursuits when the balls and parties commence. In society, he is regarded as the dandiest of the dandies, an unrepentant bachelor, and a shameless flirt. Mamas are well-advised to steer their daughters elsewhere.
There are only two of the six heirs left to marry & the pair have now had their allowances stopped. A fun entertaining read with Giles & Kitty being like chalk & cheese. He's smitten but he's a flirt & is often smitten. Strong characters & a well paced story had me reading this delightful book in two sittings. To begin with I wasn’t enamoured with Giles but the more I read & the more I liked him. I did really like Kitty, an intelligent focused woman. There was attraction between the pair from the start but the road to their HEA wasn’t easy but it did make for an entertaining read & I loved the humour which often had me chuckling. I now look forward to Dalton finding love
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read
Will her prejudice against non scholar come between them...
I have read the first two books in this series but life caught up and I have the next two others lined on my shelves.
Yet despite this month hectic schedule, I marked this one release on my calendar.
It was good to read again the clever and witty words of the author, she plots classic tales with a good dose of shrewdness.
Giles is an unredeemable flirt, each season setting his sight on a different debutante, he will flirt and cajole her until he gets bored and passes his sweet talk onto an other conquest. He is no rake, he does not seduce them but he toys with their feelings.
Still despite his way of life, I loved him, he is fun, he cares even when he says he does not, he is resourceful now he is cut from his sire’s funds, his French valet is a delight, and below all his dandy bits, there is a romantic soul.
Kitty is mostly interested in intellectual pursuits, so while she has found Giles attractive, physically, she believes they can not suit for his lack of knowledge in all things she loves to study about.
Sure they are quite opposite, like Kitty’s parents are, yet they are happy as complementary. But Kitty is blind to this aspect of her kin’s marriage. She thinks only someone sharing the same interests would fit for her. Why she seeks a scholar, yet she feels no spark for the fellow her friend believe is her answer. All the while, Giles is the opposite she is looking for, still it is him who truly intrigues her.
Theirs is not really a courtship, it was mostly at first a game, for Giles to entice her he is a man she should look at with interest, and she as she smiles at his attempts to please her but makes mistakes after mistake.
I loved how slowly they realize there is more to the other than they expected, how Giles is not reduced to his necktie knots but hide below his all flounces appearance a heart of gold and Kitty despite her all scientific talk is a woman with a beating heart who wants knowledge but respect and romancing too.

I have been granted an advance copy by the publisher Dragonblade Publishing, here is my true and unbiased opinion.
Kitty is a blue stocking that has attracted a dandy rogue’s attention. Giles, whom everyone thinks is only concerned about his clothes, can’t figure out what has attracted him to Kitty. In this opposites attract romance, they both decide they need to change a little to accommodate each other. I received an ARC from NetGalley and Dragonblade Publishing for my honest review.
I have really enjoyed this series. Each book can be read alone, but I do recommend it as a series. Wonderful characters throughout. Giles has made an appearance in previous books. I have loved his dandified appearance and care free attitude. Kitty was in the last book and I liked her immediately. She's very intelligent, caring, and not high fashion. She prefers libraries over a modiste so it was only fitting fir her to fall in love with the man that spends half the day getting ready. The story is well-written and somewhat unique. I am excited to read the next book in the series as Dalton will be the last man standing as far as the Duke's Pact, but I do hope a few other side characters get their own story.
This book does not contain any sex, but there is nothing at all lacking in the story. I honestly did not notice it until the author states the fact at the end of the book.
I received this book from NetGalley and Dragonblade Publishing for an honest review.
