Was willing to give this book a whirl as I’ve read the first two books in the series, but I found myself having the same issue as last time. I’m thinking this series may just not be for me :( I really struggled to get into the story and connect with Violet and Nico. Other than that I don’t really have any complaints.

It's back to the Big Easy for book three in the Stay a Spell series, this time for Violet and Nico's story.

Violet and Nico have undeniable chemistry from the very first chapter. Werewolf Nico knows from the beginning that Violet is the person for him. But Violet is the Seer in the Savoie family, and despite their hot and heavy interactions, a future with Nico just isn't in the cards. . . or is it?

I've really enjoyed this paranormal romance series. Juliette Cross has done a great job of building a supernatural world that readers get to know a little better with each book in this series. She's created great characters who are taking on some big issues, including prejudice and discrimination.

While I liked Nico and Violet together, I felt like there was just a little bit missing. Their sexual chemistry was hot and undeniable, but I wanted more of their emotional connection. Perhaps it's the fated-mates aspect that tripped me up. Regardless, I am excited for more to come from this author and the Savoie family.

I voluntarily read an advanced copy of this book from Netgalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Witches Get Stitches is book three in the Stay a Spell series by Juliette Cross. This is Nico and violet’s novel.

Violet is one of six Savoie sisters and is also a twin. She’s a Divine Seer. She’s worked at her family’s bar to save up money to open up her own tattoo parlor. She’s a witch who has no interest in settling down; especially with a sexy werewolf.

Nico is a werewolf who was part of a pack in Austin. He needed a fresh start after a bad incident and when he meets Violet it gave him that little push to go. He and his wolf knew what Violet is to them and both will wait for as long as it takes for her to figure it out.

These two dance around each other. They are friends and business partners. Nico is playing the long game. He knows Violet is stubborn and won’t give in easy. Violet wants more and she’s been struggling with her attraction to Nico since the moment he stepped back into her life. I was impressed with Nico’s will power and patients and I can’t believe how long Violet held out either. These two had some explosive sexual tension! When it looks like things are going in the right direction Nico’s old pack from Auction shows up and trouble follows.

This was another fun addition to the series. I loved all the limericks and rhyming. The author had me laughing out loud and smiling. We get to see previous couples and we also get to know Livvy and Clara better. I also loved Fred, Violet’s bow tie wearing rooster. And, last we finally get to learning a bit about the ever mysterious supernaturals the Grims.

Witches Get Stitches is full of fun creative characters, sexual tension, magic, and romance. I can’t wait for the next book.

Rated: 4 Stars

This pains me to give this book such a low rating because I was quite excited and looking forward to read it. The thing is I found both the characters incredibly boring and lackluster. I didn't buy their chemistry at all. But I feel that's more of a me thing, as many others have obviously enjoyed this book.

I've loved this series so far and this is my favorite one yet! I wasn't quite sure what to think of Nico, but it turns out I absolutely loved him.

Nico was just so gone for Violet I could hardly stand it, I loved him so much. He was so sweet and soft but a total alpha when it counted. Combined with his good looks and musical abilities, I don't know how Violet resisted for so long!

I loved how it discussed the prejudice against werewolves that was evident from the first book in the series, and how everyone banded together at the end. It set up beautifully the next book(s) in the series and I can't wait to keep reading!

Witches get Stitches is a flirty, steamy, sarcastic paranormal romance book that is super easy to read. I finished the book in one night as I was so engrossed in the book.

This book follows Violet and Nico story. I loved the banter between the two of them. I especially love the limerick off between them. I liked that Nico didn't push Violet and let her realise in her own time and about her feelings.

Another thing I loved about Violet and her twin Clara is so different. As a twin, I like seeing twins that have their personality. In Witches in Stitches, it's even clearer how different they are.

An element I liked in Witches in Stitches is how they look at the discrimination against Werewolvew and how it reads to change.

My Rating for Witches get Stitches is 4.5 out of 5.

I started this story along side another both I had to drop that other book and concentrate on this one because it was just so good.

Violet is such a sarcastic bad as girl and I love the powers she and her sisters have. She kept running away from her true love until she couldn't run anymore.

Dominant sweet men like Nico are sublime 😍

Violet and Nico- it's been a pleasure. Working in a bar to save up for her own supernatural tattoo parlor, Violet is as charming as they come. A powerful seer, she is visionary and friendly, Nico, on the other hand, is a werewolf who knows how to keep a girl entertained (I meant he is this sexy guy who plays guitar, will patiently listen to you and stay loyal, no matter what).

Obviously, Nico's werewolf pack comes to town to stir trouble, an event that tests the depths of Nico and Violet's relationship.

'Witches Get Stitches will make you feel giddy with the perfect romance and sizzling chemistry. I had butterflies in my tummy half the time, even though I am not exactly fond of werewolves.

Since I read this book without reading the rest of the series, I am excited to meet the other Savoie sisters and their little adventures.

I'm going to start this review by saying if you love urban fantasy with spicy romance, you need to read this book right now! Also, there are hot, protective, dominant werewolves with tattoos. What more do you even need?

I had such a fun time with this book. The world is incredible, all the different supernatural creatures are all so interesting and the cast of characters is so great. The politics with the werewolves was the main focus, bringing in the Blood Moon pack for some amazing tension. I loved how much we saw Violet's sisters and their other halves, also the tattoo shop and the employees. I loved how Nico and Violet were business partners and it's such a good way to set up everything for the novel.

Nico is everything. He's hot and flirty, he knows what he wants and damn is he good at getting it. I'd love me a Nico. The sexual tension between him and Violet is there from the very start and let me just say their sex scenes are unreal, so freaking steamy. Juliette knows how to write a great spicy scene. Violet is really Nico's perfect match. Without spoiling anything further into the book, their later dynamic was incredible. They're so unbelievable sweet together and you can really tell they were meant to be together. I was so frustrated when Violet wouldn't give him a chance because of her damn tarot cards, but everything worked out in the end and I'm glad everything was talked over and sorted out because they are way too good not to give another a chance. Also, Violet as a character was so incredible. She was the sexy, badass who I'm completely inspired by. And she has a pet rooster? Crazy, but I love her.

The angst in this novel was incredible. Especially that third act! The only "problem" I have (which wasn't even a problem but I just wanted to mention it) is how it's stated in the synopsis that Violet goes missing. For me personally, I thought this meant it would happen rather soon into the book and would be very prominent throughout, happening some point before the halfway mark. Once again, without spoiling, this happened a lot later than I thought it would and it just had me waiting and getting excited every time I thought it would happen and then just... nothing. However, that being said, I really did like the execution of this part and wouldn't change it but it's just something to think about.

All in all, I loved this book. I will definitely be going back to read the first two books. I'm very excited to read Evie and Mateo's book after their cameos in this one (and that epilogue!) and will be continuing the rest of the series. Would recommend to everyone and anyone who likes these types of novels. Such a great read!

After I finished the first book, I was super intrigued with the scenes between Violet and Nico, so this is a story that has been teased for a while and I was definitely into it. Usually I'm a little hesitant about romances that are teased throughout a series because sometimes....just sometimes...well, they can be a letdown. Happily, I can say that is not the case here.

Violet, a tattoo artist and one of the Savoie witch sisters, and Nico Cruz, werewolf musician have been dancing around each other, but Violet has been hesitant to give in because of her own assumptions of her future, and well, you know what they say about assuming. Yep, when Violet begins working on a spelled tattoo that could help werewolves control their inner beasts, she grows closer with Nico, they have killer UST, and eventually, yep, romance happens.

Their Firsts are very hot, and in terms of their individual journeys, I was satisfied at the end of this tale. I'm not sure how much of a standalone this is, because I really think you need context for their beginnings, and there's seeds here that are inevitably leading to future romances for more of the Savoie sisters. That said, I've definitely still enjoying this ride and I'd recommend it.

Witches Get Stiches, the third Stay A Spell book, is another wonderful installment in this super fun paranormal romance series. I was hooked from the insta-lust start and along for the slow burn ride as werewolf Nico Cruz tries to help witch and seer Violet Savoie realize they are fated to be together. I love this series and the supernatural characters and world Cross has created and recommend it as often as I can! Can't wait for the next book - really looking forward to some of the hinted relationships to come!

Nico was a broody, soulful, musically gifted werewolf it’s an edge of danger. Violet, the bohemian, very sassy, tattoo artist witch. Leave it to Juliette to make their relationship one heck of a sloooow burn! *Fans self*

This story was rich. Not just on the family front with the Savoie sisters (who I’d love to be friends with!) but in general with the supernatural community. Discrimination was tackled. Maybe that’s odd to mention about a paranormal romance, but the issue was a big chunk of the book and worth noting.

“It was ridiculous that in the 21st century, they were still clinging to old prejudices that not only spread hatred, but also danger and violence. The only way to heal old wounds was through mercy and kindness. And one thimble full of fucking compassion.”

This story was a little heavier than the second, but just as good as it’s predecessors. The book still contained the side of humor I’ve come to love from Cross as well as plenty of smexy! (Even when it wasn’t always about Nico and Violet because Alpha still steals page time… ;)

I voluntarily read an advanced copy of this book from Netgalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

It’s no secret that I love the Stay a Spell series by @juliettecrossauthor so I was thrilled when I was approved to read an ARC of book three through NetGalley.

Witches get Stitches focuses on Violet Savoie, one of the Savoie sisters and a witch who specialises as a seer, and Nico Cruz, werewolf and musician.

We’ve met both of these characters before in Don’t hex and Drive, and the start of Witches get Stitches helps us understand the reason behind the tension that has always been evident between this pair.

Violet and Nico’s story is a slow burn friends to lovers romance but don’t let that fool you into thinking their relationship isn’t as full of tension and spice as the first two in this series. While there was miscommunication standing between Violet and Nico, making me want to shake them both at times, I feel like we were kept waiting just the right amount of time.

I loved the fact that we learnt more about the other side to werewolf life in this book. We meet a group of them and see how their presence effects Nico and Mateo. Speaking of Mateo he, Evie, Isadora, and Devraj are all back for a few scenes. We also see more of Clara and Livvy and it looks like their books will both feature a Grim love interest. Speaking of Grim’s we find out a few more things about their gifts in this book although there’s still plenty of mystery surrounding them.

Witches get Stitches is available on 20th July! 5/5 🌟 from me and I’m already looking forward to more from the series!

Juliette Cross has done it again. There aren't enough words to describe how much I have enjoyed this series. I can't even do it justice with this review. Cross could write about every Savoie sister, their cousins, and all the Supernaturals throughout Louisiana and I would read it. I knew when Nico and Violet's story came out it would be a burner, and I was NOT disappointed. Violet is one of the strongest witches of her kind, all the Savoies are strong witches, and their powers are far reaching. Nico and Violet decide to open a tattoo parlor together and Violet is using her powers to spell and enchant tattoos for various reasons. Enhancing powers, suppressing Devraj's hunger, etc. Her goal is to help Nico with his wolf, but when his old pack from Austin shows up in New Orleans demanding her tattoo things start to escalate personally and professionally for Violet and Nico. Nico's wolf hungers for Violet as much as he does and Violet is ready to play. When Violet goes missing on opening night of their shop, Nico's Wolf, Alpha-Mateo's Wolf and the Reapers head out to save one of New Orleans favorite witches. If you haven't indulged in the Stay A Spell series, you're missing a treat. Grab an Old-Fashioned, sip slow, and read with ease and enjoy all things hot and supernatural.

Witches Get Stitches by Juliette Cross is the 3rd book in her fantastic Stay a Spell series. I loved the first two books in this series, and loved this one too. Juliette Cross always gives us wonderful fun steamy romances, with a supernatural element.

Witches Get Stitches focuses on Violet, who is one of the Savoie sisters, with Violet being a very powerful witch and seer. Violet is determined to open her own tattoo parlor for supernaturals, and she has the potent magic to cast spells. Two years ago in Texas, Violent met Nico Cruz, a werewolf and they had a very passionate encounter, but then she left to go back home to New Orleans.

Nico could not get Violet out of his mind, and decides to find her, and eventually he becomes her partner at the Tattoo parlor, as they become best friends. Nico wants to win her over and become his lover, but Violet (erroneously reading her tarot cards that they don’t match) just wants to be friends. All Violet’s family and friends can see how Nico cares strongly about her, except Violet. But soon that will change and their relationship turns into a wild steamy swoony romance, with their chemistry off the wall; and Nico’s wolf wants him to bond with her. One night at the bar, Nico spots one of his old pack, and knew there was going to be trouble. Nico also started to become jealous of all the men flirting with Violet, but soon she will realize that Nico is the love of her life, and the bond between them forms.

Violet is determined to create a special tattoo spell that will give werewolves the ability to control their beast, and keep their calm. He asks his friends to keep an eye out for Violet and her sisters, as he worries why the pack was here. When Violet gets kidnapped, Nico knows his ex-pack wants the charmed tattoo, but little does he know that Violet is a very powerful witch, who can handle herself.

What follows is a fun, romantic, sexy and exciting story that had a bit of mystery, with a fantastic group of characters that Juliette always seems to give us. I loved seeing all the sisters, as well as Mateo and Evie; Isadora and Devraj, and other possible mates for the rest of the girls. I look forward to learning more about the Grim, and what they can do.
Witches Get Stitches was a fun, magical and sexy romance in an amazing world with witches, werewolves, vampires and grims; not to mention written so very well by Juliette Cross. If you enjoy a fun romance, exciting action, great secondary characters, and a couple that has great chemistry; you need to read this book. I look forward to read the remaining Savoie sisters' stories.

Witches Get Stitches by Juliette Ross
Release date: 20 July 2021
🗣 Violet Savoie has a plan; open her own tattoo shop, for supernaturals in need of permanent charms. As a powerful Seer, she has the magic to cast every kind of spell. Except the kind to give werewolves control. And her business partner Nico needs help in the worst kind of way. Nico Cruz has a secret. A motive, rather. To subtly stalk and seduce Violet until she finally recognizes they are fated to be together. Ever since their heated encounter in Austin, he’s been dying to get his hands—and his tongue—back on her body.
💭 First off, if you’re looking for plot this one ain’t it. If you’re looking for some good ol’ fashioned werewolf x witchy romance then have I got a rec for you!
The plot itself wasn’t really there until 75% of the way in, and even then it still focused mainly on the will they, won’t they between our two mains. In all honesty I was probably a little more interested in the hinted at potential romancing between our main characters sisters and some Grimms. But to each their own!
As far as I’m concerned there is no wrong that can be done when you have a romance book with werewolves, witches, grimms and more.
We all know my constant struggle of: female protagonist WHY. But this Violet was pretty tough and didn’t just bow down and I liked that, did I like her? Debatable. But I definitely saw some good there that I enjoyed.
🧛 Please excuse the comparison, but this could have been a Twilight or TVD wattpad/fanfic story back in the day, it just had that feeling to it. Which isn’t BAD mind you, I am a huge advocate for the writers on AO3, but a werewolf who is super fine and wow he has a VOICE and he croons and here’s the songs he’s singing just feels a little….juvenile? But, I did enjoy it and it was an easy read and the guys sounded fine so who am I to complain?
Thank you #NetGalley for my copy of #WitchesGetStitches

Post scheduled for July 4th

If you're looking for a fun, quirky and steamy paranormal read, Witches Get Stitches has got you covered. The third book in the Stay a Spell series (following Wolf Gone Wild and Don't Hex and Drive) is a delightfully easy read that will give you plenty of warm-fuzzy feelings by the end.

Witches Get Stitches follows Violet, one of the Savoie sisters, who's starting her own tattoo parlour, with the goal of developing specific tattoo charms for members of the supernatural community. Her (not-so-)silent partner in this venture is Nico Cruz, a werewolf who got under her skin one New Year's Ever two years earlier. And despite being squarely put in the friends-zone, Nico isn't about to give up on his attraction to Violet yet - not that his inner wolf would let him. Nico needs Violet's help to develop a charm to help him control his inner wolf, and when his former pack turn up in New Orleans asking about Violet, he needs that control even more.

It's no secret how much I adore the Stay a Spell series (especially since I've been posting about it every other week for the last few weeks!) - and Witches Get Stitches was no exception.

Violet is a very different character to her sisters Evie and Isadora, who we've met in previous books. She's very impulsive, brash and out there, but just like her sisters, she's devoted to her family and she's determined to make sure her new business flourishes. She's also relatively insecure about her relationships thanks to a tarot reading about her future many years in the past. This insecurity is the part of Violet that we see grow and develop into something more as she begins to trust her instincts more and to see beyond what she thought was a simple reading.

Nico is a character we've met in previous books that I was not always sold on, but boy am I on Team Nico now. We finally get to find out why Nico and Violet have been glaring daggers at each other for two books - they had a one-night stand one NYE, and even though Violet left straight afterwards, Nico's been harbouring one giant-size crush on her ever since. He's also trying to manage his inner wolf - a witch's curse put on werewolves centuries ago - and it's getting harder and harder to do so. He needs Violet's help to create a tattoo charm that will help him find some inner peace.

I love Violet and Nico's relationship - they have a past that's complicated by both their actions and their perceived ideas of what's right for them. They've also spent plenty of time hiding it from their friends and family. In Witches Get Stitches they need to find a way to balance their friendship, business relationship and then their romantic relationship, and it's just glorious.

As always, I adore the setting of New Orleans - it's just so atmospheric - as well as all the side characters who've popped in and out of the previous books. I cannot wait until we get books featuring the Grims, who turn up quite a bit in this one, and have me so intrigued it's not even funny.

As always, Juliette Cross has brought charm, humour and fun to the paranormal romance genre and I can't wait for the next installment.

Wow, how have I never heard of this series before?! Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book, the third in the series. I will now be running to purchase the previous two books! I liked that this story was witty, sexy, and just really fun! Cross's writing displays paranormal romance like I've never read before. The chemistry between Violet and Nico was EVERYTHING!

Two and a half stars. I didn't like this one nearly as much as the previous two in the series. I almost quit around 30% but I trusted the author that it would get better, and it did. Her sex scenes are worth waiting for!

What I liked about this book is the tattoo angle. It's mostly set in Violet's brand new tattoo shop and the plot centers around tattoos she gives that are enchanted with her magic. That's such a unique, interesting concept. I also appreciate the dynamics between the Savoie sisters, how they rally around each other with love and support. With each new book in the series, that support system grows with each sister's romantic partner and friends. It's been fun to get to know them and their community.

What I didn't like was how for the first half of the book our two main characters are stubborn and self-sabotaging. The "chase" between them was drawn out and annoying. Many aspects of this book were reminiscent of book one, Wolf Gone Wild, and felt too similar.

Overall, this one was worth reading and I'll likely pick up the next in the series. I guess it could work as a standalone but I wouldn't recommend that.

Witches get Stitches is another great addition to the Stay a Spell series. Violet and Nico are vibrant characters who really draw you in to the story and make you root for them all the way through. I love the Savoie sisters and can't wait to see where the story goes next!
