A S Byatt is a master of her craft. Whether it's novels, short stories, or literary essays, her sharp intellect always shines through. It was an absolute pleasure to read another book-length work by her, especially after a while. I fully intend to reread this one and discuss it as part of a larger literary essay on the uses of myth and folklore in fiction.
