I love this series and it was wonderful to pick up with the girls again. Can't wait for another chapter in their lives.
I loved this book, it was a welcome return of friends Evie, May and Jess. The girls continue as plotters in the ops room. There may be promotion in the future . Milan makes a reappearance. The story while following all three girls mainly stays with Jess. I loved the factual parts which were really interesting. I look forward to more books by this author.
This was a brilliant read and is being featured on my blog for my quick star reviews feature, which I have created on my blog so I can catch up with all the books I have read and therefore review.

This is the third & final book in the Ops Room Girls trilogy. As the war crawls towards the end this book focuses on Jess, the glamorous outgoing one but behind that façade Jess struggles with a secret that she thinks will mean that she will lose the love & respect of her best friends. As she watches her friends plan their futures with their boyfriends she struggles with her feelings for Milan the Czech pilot & when someone from her past reappears her life is thrown into turmoil. Jess did get on my nerves at times with her belief in the way she would be judged. (Perhaps that is my mind-set rather than the mid 40's!) I really enjoyed Milan's story.
I have enjoyed this trilogy. Thanks to Netgalley & the publisher for letting me read & review this book.
Heart warming, emotional and full of drama and excitement. Really good to catch up with these young women as they progress in their careers through the war. A great read.

Not having the read the first two in the series I probably have missed some of the nuances but, nonetheless, this is an enjoyable read. Three girls, from very different backgrounds, joined the WAAF, trained and were posted together. This book is Jess' story from fairly late on in the war. Poor, East End London background with a "dark secret", that was blindingly obvious, worked hard and is now a Filterer Officer. Her two friends, Evie and May, are there too as subordinates both in rank and story. Nice story lines - her unexpected meeting with old friend Milan, Czech reconnaissance pilot leads to romance for her. Meeting with old acting flame does not but, of course, adds to the complications. Bit too much technical detail of the work that the ops' girls did, that felt rather like a lecture and added little to the storyline. The language used was so different - technical and formal compared with the chatty norm. Not convinced about Milan's little 'side-trip' to see what had happened to home - that felt very completely unrealistic. Otherwise the daily trials, tribulations and worries for the three girls during dark and troubled times, but with light at the end of the tunnel, felt realistic of the time. Thanks to NetGalley and Canelo for an advance copy in exchange for my honest review.
I love Vicki Beeby’s writing and have enjoyed each book in the Ops Room Girls series immensely. Cheering along for the careers, lives and loves of May, Evie and Jess in the war, the book transports you to a past world. It was easy to imagine myself in the shoes of these three girls who I came to care about very much. It is lovely to finish the third book in the series with a sigh and feeling of satisfaction. More please …
As usual in my reviews I won't rehash the plot - plenty of other reviews like that out there if that is what you are looking for!
Having read the previous two books in this series, I was delighted to be invited to read this - the finale. As in the earlier books, there were several layers to the plot, and we are reunited with familiar characters from the earlier books, as well as meeting new faces.
I love the author's style - the writing is very descriptive and creates an atmosphere, and the characters come alive. This book focused on Jess, and we learn more about her back story. The section featuring the Czech pilots brought home the realities they faced - fighting for the allies but not knowing how their own families were faring back home, very moving.
This is a nice easy read, mixing elements of friendship, romance and history, and peopled by believable characters. I am sad to think this is the end of the series - perhaps the author will make a few special editions in the future?
My thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for an ARC. All opinions my own.
I loved this final instalment in the series. It was wonderful being back with the girls again and getting Jess’s story.
This was the third and final book of the series which I loved from start to finish. I shall miss these girls and their wartime experiences. A truly delightful and beautifully written novel.
Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for an early review copy.
Jess has just been moved up to Filterer Officer, at RAF Fighter Command HQ. To add to her happiness, she’s also got her friends Evie and May joining her. Once again, Jess can enjoy going out when they have time off, but Jess, is worried that her friends will find out the secret she’s keeping from them. But do Evie and May know the secret she’s keeping……
Back at the old base, she knew a guy called Milan and on a night out with Evie and May, she sees him, unexpectedly and it seems those old feelings are still there between them. Was ending things with him the wrong decision she made at Amberton?
Things get more harder when a film company comes to Bentley Priory, they want to make a film, to raise confidence about the RAF.
The person whose playing the lead role is Leonard Steele. someone from Jess’s past, but has Leonard got an ulterior motive in asking Jess’s officer for her to play the leading lady?
It seems Jess’s past could change everything that she’s worked so hard to construct. …
Her past is now mixing with her present. So will Jess realise what she has to do and fight for what she wants and find her own happiness like Evie and May?
I loved this saga.
Recommend It.
A fitting end to an amazing saga. I'll miss catching up with The Ops Room Girls. I loved reading about each of the girl's lives and seeing how they evolved throughout the book. Jess was no exception. What a sweet but complicated girl who was ashamed about her past, but found a purpose, friendship and love whilst doing her bit for the war. I finished this book with such a smile on my face. War time fiction always fascinates me, getting a look into what life was like during those dark scary days of the war, where you took nothing for granted. I'll look forward to reading more from Vicki Beeby in the future.
Have read the previous 2 Ops Room Girls books, I was thrilled to be given the chance to review Victory for the Ops Room Girls and I wasn't disappointed. Vicki really brings her characters to life in such a way that I'm actually feeling a little sad now that the series has ended. I want to know how life turns out for Evie, May and Jess!
I can't wait to read whatever Vicki writes next.
Welcome to the 3rd instalment of this series. Wow!! Just wow!!… This book is brilliant! More than brilliant, amazing!!!… Absolutely gripping, addictive and captivating…
This was a fantastic 3rd instalment to the ops room girls series. It tells the continuing story of three young women during ww2. It tells of there bravery and courage during this time and follows the previous books . Hoping this saga doesn’t end here as the characters were brought to life and became friends.. Great book to lose yourself in and read it in one sitting.
Highly recommended read
I have loved reading this series and the girls of the ops room are delightful.A lovely story that draws you into the lives of the characters their happy times and sad times.5*
I have read all the books in this series but this one was a disappointment. I found the 'Leo' storyline far fetched, irritating and in parts it made me skim read the chapter as I was not interested. Reading he was at the end staying in the RAF didn't make sense when there had been no mention of him being in it before. If this was the case he would have understood rules such as Jess wearing uniform when going out. Leicester Square was also badly damaged in WW2 so I'm not sure they would have been having film premieres?
The storyline regarding Hannah was strong enough without the need for Leo. It would have been better to have put more into the V2 storyline.
I also found the 'return to Prague' storyline to be very far fetched. They seemed to do a lot in a few hours and no one seemed to notice an allied plane landed and unaccompanied yet the Czech's they met warned them the Germans were still active.
All in all it was a very disappointing end to what has been an enjoyable first two books.
Victory for the Ops Room Girls by Vicki Beeby is an excellent WWII-era historical fiction saga that is the conclusion of the fabulous trilogy: The Women’s Auxiliary Air Force.
I loved, loved, loved this series. The first book focussed on Evie. The second, on May. Finally with this book, Jess gets her time to shine, and we get to see how it all ends for this heartwarming group of men and women.
I loved meeting up with the girls, Alex, Milan, and Peter. I have always enjoyed the fierce love, devotion, loyalty, and patriotism that this group has demonstrated in this series. They have all progressed so naturally as they are tested personally and professionally. Here we see Jess trying to find out where she fits in, who she is, and what she wants out of life. I loved her relationship with Milan, the twists and turns in regards to her past and the present-day obstacles that she faces. The suspense, the mystery, and the chemistry within this narrative is spot on.
I enjoyed seeing Jess grow up, work through her complicated past and emotions, and for her to come out on top.
I loved the ending and could not think of anything better. A perfect fit for a perfect series.
5/5 stars

Jess Halloway arrives at Mansion House RAF Bentley Priory Fighter Command headquarters London, Eve Bishop her dear friend was meeting her they were going to be working together again. Bentley Manor is huge and Jess has never seen anything so beautiful, and there's a surprise waiting for her as their friend May Lidford is also joining them, the three ops girls are all together again. Hoping to see out the war together it can't be long till it's over now the allies are advancing. Jess still holds her secret and what will the girls say if they found out would they still want to know her? her relationship with Milan Masek grows deeper she is going to have to tell him especially as they are back in London her home as well as work. I am so loving this series, it is written from the heart of the author, and will touch all her readers and so look forward to reading much more of her work, A special story to pull at everyone's heartstrings. 5 stars.
