Lindy Carmichael is ready to rest and recharge at home during her Christmas vacation. Her job has exhausted her as she worked around the clock for a major presentation. She lost two important relationship as she found out that her boyfriend and her best friend were seeing each other behind her back. How could she not have seen that happening? At home her mom reminds Lindy of a tradition of writing Santa letters. Deciding what she needs in her life, she writes another letter to Santa. Can he work his Christmas magic?
Dear Santa offers all the warmth, charm and sweet romance we associate with Debbie Macomber. It is an enjoyable read with strong family ties, the attraction with Billy, the new/old friendship with Peggy and, of course, a magical Santa. Christmas in her hometown of Wenatchee allows Lindy time to decide what she wants with the courage to make her life what she dreams it to be.
Thanks to Random House Publishing - Ballantine, Debbie Macomber and NetGalley for this ARC.
This was a super cozy Christmas read. I look forward to Debbie's new books. This was a fun quick read for me. I loved the romance and cute love story in this book it was a feel good story!
Sweet, romantic, and just a hint of magic, this book is typical comfy Macomber at her finest! I've had some difficult holidays the last few years, and while this book is absolutely perfect, it is a little hard to read when your life isn't near as perfect. Not a bad thing, just a gentle reminder to be kind to yourself. Sometimes our lives aren't as perfect as the book, and that's OK! I loved it, just took me a bit to finish. 🩷

it is a heartwarming Christmas story about the love of a mother and daughter, friendships and romance to round out the perfect holidays with the ones you love.
A lovely sweet clean uplifting lighthearted Christmas romance that has everything you could wish for.
Heartbreak, struggle, friends, family, falling in love, and happiness. It's a good reminder that something good usually comes out of struggle and pain, if we're open to it.. I always say, when a door doesn't open, then open a window. This story suggests that maybe when a door doesn’t open, it wasn’t the right door for you.

You know what you are going to get with Debbie Macomber. You are going to get your HEA, some sweet family moments, and a lesson along the way. And she didn't disappoint with this one.
When Lindy returns home for the holidays, she isn't feeling the holiday spirit. If anything, she feels discontent. She doesn't love her job, she just lost her boyfriend to her best friend, and she misses the best friend more. When her mom shows her the letters Lindy wrote to Santa as child and reminds her how he always came through for her, she decides to write him again.
When he gives her everything she ever wanted, can she decide what it is that she really wants?
This is a sweet, romantic Christmas story that tackles some real life tough issues paired with holiday magic. No one does sweet and magical in one novel as well as Debbie Macomber. A Chriatmas treat to read and treasure.
I simply adore just about everything from Ms. Debbie and this book was no different. It actually made me a bit teary-eyed when I read it. Something about Christmas and reading these stories during this time especially always hit home.
Lucy revisits her childhood, with letters to Santa and has a fantastic idea to send out a letter to Jolly St. Nick in an effort to practice gratitude, something I am all for. However in true Debbie style, there is always a bit of magic in the air that sends Lucy something she just couldn't have imagined at the start of our journey with her.
Loved it and you should definitely consider picking up a copy!

Any other Christmas in July celebrators? Dear Santa was the PERFECT book to scratch that Christmas read itch. I'm a longtime fan of Macomber's books and writing and this proved to be another delightful and cozy Christmas story by her and I absolutely loved it!
This book was so special in that it felt nostalgic and really brings the reader back to the magic of Christmas. As Lindy, the main character, rediscovers what makes the season so wonderful as she returns home with her life more or less in pieces, the reader gets to experience it all right alongside her in a charming way. I felt all the emotions and beauty that burst through the words on the page and by the time I turned the last page, my heart was so full as I wrapped up this story of second chances and love.
All the elements to the setting, characters, and story that were woven through the pages was so in line with Macombers fantastic writing and I found it to be very well done. It checked all the boxes for me in what makes a perfect holiday read. I definitely see myself recommending this one over and over again.
Many thanks to Ballantine Books and NetGalley for the gifted e-copy!
