This was such a sweet story. Lindy was home for a vacation at Christmas after having a tough year. Her co-workers are not friendly, her boyfriend hooked up with her best friend and didn't tell her. So she is home to regroup. She reconnects with Peggy (her childhood friend) and Will (who used to harrass her when she was nine). Slowly she realizes she is happy for the first time in awhile. She helps a few people with their websites and realizes there might be a place in her home town to make a living.
The story's characters were all wonderful (especially Santa) and it was very easy to read. There was very little drama and some sweet romance. A nice Christmas story about 2nd chances and new beginnings.
I got this book from NetGalley and am voluntariily leaving a review.
Dear Santa by Debbie Macomber was full of Christmas Cheer and Wonder. Every year as a child Lindy wrote letters to Santa. As an adult Lindy discovered that All her childhood wishes had came true. Now with a New letter to Santa will her adult wishes also come true? I LOVED this book so much!! Debbie Macomber has an AMAZING ability to bring us warmth, coziness, and a magical Holiday season with Dear Santa! 🎄

Lindy wrote letters to Santa every year when she was young. They always came true. Lindy is taking two weeks away from work to spend time with her family at Christmas. She found out that her long-term boyfriend and her best friend were now together, so she is coming home with a heavy heart. When her mother suggests she write a letter to Santa now, she decides it can’t hurt. She asks for a new best friend and a boyfriend that has character and substance. I enjoyed this lighthearted romance and finding out how her letters to Santa came out better than what she wished for. The small-town setting and it’s caring community were special. Great holiday book!
This was the perfect Christmas romance novel. It was exactly what you would expect from a Debbie Macomber Christmas story, but it still sucked me in and I didn’t want it to end. Thank you to Netgalley for the e ARC!

After college graduation Lindy Carmichael was thrilled to land a job in Seattle, Washington. Although home is a few hours away in Wenatchee, she loved the large city. Lindy shared an apartment with her best friend, Celeste from school. She hoped to land a promotion with a project she proposed to Media Blast, the home company in graphics and marketing. She met a great guy and all went well for a few months. By fall however things with Brian seemed to slow down. Her roomie, seemed more upbeat than usual. Things began a downhill slide. Celeste wanted to move closer to her work, so they both were searching for affordable places to rent.. Lindy found a single bed apartment near to work. Celeste found something as well however when Lindy paid an unexpected visit to her, who but Brian answered the door. Things began to fall apart. She left on her 2 week holiday vacation as soon as possible. Homeward bound to chill out, regroup. She had decided to halt any discussions of Seattle with her folks until she let the dust settle on her tired, exhausted body. Her mother however, caught the drift of heartache immediately from her daughter. It was time to tell the story of Dear Santa.
Debbie Macomber's latest publication is one that needs reading. Whether you require a pick me up now or toward the upcoming season, it is truly a magnificent story. From start to finish Ms. Macomber had me involved in what would happen next in Lindy´s journey.

Debbie always delivers the best feel good Christmas story. With out a doubt this type of love story it's like watching a Hallmark movie. If you need a pick me up this ones for you ENJOY!!
My thanks to NetGalley, the author and publisher for the ARC in exchange for an honest review. Always a delight reading her books!
This is an absolutely delightful Christmas book about the magic of Santa and letters to Santa.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this gem!
A great concept for a book. I love that Lindy Carmichael's mom has saved all the letters she wrote to Santa. She didn't remember the first few but later ones she did. I love that her mom filled in the background to each letter. So with her life falling apart, mom says to write a letter to Santa. She wrote the letter and put it away. Little did she know that things were going to change. On Christmas Day it seems everything in her letter was granted. Only now she wants everything she has ever dreamed of. It all starts with a kiss on New Year's Eve. I couldn't put this book down.
I'd like to thank Netgalley and Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine, Ballantine Books for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This was such a cute, sweet holiday romance. It was pretty straight forward and what you would expect in a Christmas romance. I love second chance and enemies to lovers books and this didn't disappoint - even though the enemy part happened year ago. This is the perfect book to sit down on a cold night and if you are just wanting a light read. I'd definitely recommend to those who are looking for a cute wholesome romance.
A charming Christmas story of heartbreak, reuniting with old friends and the sharing of traditions. And of course a happy ending. 4.5 stars.
I received an advanced copy from Netgalley The comments and review are my honest opinion.
I am a big fan of Christmas romances, and this Debbie Macomber book doesn’t disappoint. It’s a sweet story about Lindy Carmichael, a graphic/website designer from a small town in Washington, who now works and lives in Seattle. She’s just experienced a break-up, and after a stressful year at work, she heads home to Wenatchee for a two-week Christmas vacation. Her mother gives her a box of letters she’d written to Santa when she was a child. Realizing that most of her wishes came true, she decided to write a new letter to Santa. Suffice it to say, Santa is good to her again this year.
Thanks to NetGalley and publisher Random House for an ARC to review.
After submitting her big proposal at work, Lindy is finally on vacation and spending Christmas with her family.
Soon after her arrival Lindy's mom shows her the letters she wrote to Santa when she was a child. Lindy realizes they all came true even if they weren't exactly what she asked for. Now, still stinging from the betrayal of her ex and best friend, her mom suggests writing another letter to Santa. Silly right? A grown woman writing to Santa!
Dear Santa has all the needed aspects of a real holiday story. Loads of Christmas atmosphere, charming characters, family, friendship, romance and a little magic too, of course.
Thanks to netgalley and Random House Publishing Group-Ballantine for the advance copy.
I received an ARC of this book. A charming, feel-good Christmas story from one of the best. Interesting, warm, and delightful book. I found it impossible to put down until the very end.
Dear Santa is another delightful Christmas romance written by Debbie Macomber. Lucy comes home for the holidays but she does not seem to be in a holiday mood. Her best friend and Lucy’s boyfriend began to have their own romance behind Lucy’s back and things are not going well at her job. Lucy’s mother shows her three letters that Lucy wrote to Santa when she was a child. Her mother then encourages Lucy to write a letter this year to Santa. Will Santa deliver those wishes to Lucy? Read to find out!
Debbie Macomber has written another wonderful Christmas romance which includes a few interesting characters, new friendships and some Christmas magic.
There aren't many surprises in this sweet Christmas novel, but it's exactly the sort of comforting story that many people are wanting right now. Filled with family, friends, hope, and new beginnings, Dear Santa is a wonderful holiday book for this year. Thanks to Netgalley and Random House Publishing Group-Ballantine for the advance digital copy.
Dear Santa by Debbie Macomber is a Christmas story that is full of faith and new beginnings. Ms. Macomber has written yet another joyous Christmas story. This is a wonder example of what we have come to expect from Ms. Macomber. Even though it is early October, and I usually save Christmas books until a little later in the year, I couldn’t wait to read this one.
While some would say it is a ‘sweet’ holiday romance I would say that Ms. Macomber cleverly and adeptly balances some tough issues. You can easily feel the characters conflicts and uncertainty. You feel yourself cheering them and hoping that they get their happy ending.
The story takes place in a small town in the Pacific Northwest. The description of the scenery and setting were wonderful. You can see the snowflakes, feel the snow crunch under your feet, smell the hot chocolate and smell the cookies coming out of the oven.
The plot is nothing but heartwarming, full of the importance of family with a delightful, well deserved romance thrown in. All in all this is a feel good read that readers will enjoy. The story gently reminds us to have an attitude of gratitude. This new Christmas novel by Debbie Macomber does not disappoint. I have said this every time I have completed a novel by this author: I can’t wait to see what she has in store for us next!

Once again Debbie Macomber has written another delightful Christmas book. I love Lindy and Billy. The whole story felt magical. I read it in one sitting because I just couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. The characters are delightful. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced free copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I received a copy from the publisher through NetGalley.
This HEA set at Christmas doesn't hold any surprises but it's the sort of feel good read that is just the right thing for when you need a lift. Lindy's had some disappointments in love (rat of an ex!) so her mom pulls out her old letters to Santa to give her some perspective. Even better, her old enemy (not really-they were kids) Billy has grown up into a nice guy who owns the local restaurant. Their relationship (this is Macomber so things are clean) starts slowly but then they come to realize that they are better together. THey're good characters, as is Lindy's friend Peggy. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. A pleasant small town romance.
Once again Debbie Macomber has written a Christmas story, Dear Santa, that tugs at the heart strings and reminds us how wonderful it is to believe. Really believe. Lindy has come home to Wenatchee for the holiday with her family. She lives in Seattle, but with all the work she is putting into her work, she rarely is able to go home. She has had a tough time summer and fall with losing her boyfriend and her best friend in one fell swoop.
Lindy’s Mom brought out a box of Dear Santa letters to remind Lindy about believing. Each of the Dear Santa letters reminded Lindy of a particular event in her early life when Santa was able to answer her prayers, so that night she wrote another Dear Santa letter.
What a wonderful, sweet story full of hope and belief. Dear Santa by Debbie Macomber is a great read!
Lindy is coming home for two weeks at Christmas time. It has been a difficult year for her. Her boyfriend and her best friend betrayed her and her work situation has required long nights and weekends. She just needs a break so she is looking forward to coming home for some down time. Her mom shares some Dear Santa letters that she wrote when she was a child and for everyone of those wishes, she got what she asked for. She needs a reset so she sits down to pen a letter to Santa. She has three things she wants; a new best friend, a positive response to her pitch at work and a man who can be her everything.
She coincidentally meets up with a former best friend of hers from grade schooling they reconnect. She meets up with a now very successful and handsome former nemesis, Billy. All she is waiting on is word that her pitch to a new company would be the icing on the cake. But, is that what she really wants now or have her priorities shifted?
I absolutely loved this sweet, clean, Christmas romance. It was the perfect story to give you all the good feels and look forward to approaching holidays.
I was given an arc copy of this book and I willingly offer my honest review.
