With all the books I read (July and over 125 books/year), I still love Debbie Macomber books. I hadn't read any of her books for a decade and have finished 3 now in the last 6 weeks. They have good values in them. Sometimes life gives you some bad apples, and as much as you'd like to hold onto that grudge ... its best to let go and move on. (Easier said than done, but still its the for the best.)

Regardless of whether or not its Debbie Macomber, I still love to learn something new in each book. I really loved the food scavenger hunt idea! That sounded like so much fun!

You are never too old to write Santa a letter! My faithful lab/Great Dane crossed over the Rainbow Bridge a couple weeks ago. I'm not ready for a dog now ... but Dear Santa, if a dog needed a home and found its way to my porch Christmas morning ...

If you like a nice light, quick, G-rated Christmas-y romance, this one won't disappoint.

Thank you to NetGalley, the author Debbie Macomber, the publisher Random House Publishing Group/Ballantine books. Publication date 19 Oct 2021.

When Lindy comes home for Christmas, her visit comes at a time when she's not loving her new job and struggling with her happiness. As Lindy reads through her former Santa letters, she realizes how many of her wishes came true, so she writes him a new letter as an adult. While home Lindy reconnects with her former best friend and a childhood classmate who make her visit so special. I love the way Debbie brings the friendship and the romantic relationships together in her special unique way. Such a quick read! I didn’t want this book to end!

Dear Santa a novel by Debbie Macomber is about taking a new risk in your life. Lindy returns to her hometown after experiencing a broken heart and a career that is burning out her life . Her mother shares her old letters to Santa when she was a child. She is convinced to write a letter again to Santa with her wishes for Christmas. She is reluctant but decides to share her wishes. Sometimes even as an adult we can have wishes that can possibly change our live. Thank you to #NetGalley for allowing me to read Dear Santa before its publication.

Thanks Netgalley for allowing me to read this book. I have read most of Debbie Macomber's Christmas books and this is one of the best. Lindy is excited to go home for Christmas. She recently broke up with her boyfriend because he was dating her best friend. While home she meets her old friend from grade school and reconnected like it was yesterday. She latr meets a classmate named Billy. I enjoyed this book and could not put it down.

I would like to thank Random House Ballentine and Netgalley for the opportunity to read this book. It was funny to me that I was approved for this book the day I found a book that Debbie signed for my mom a few months before she died. It was a sign that I needed to sit down and read this book. I started it on Friday and could not stop reading it. This is the story of Lindy, a computer programmer from a small town outside of Seattle who returns home for the holidays. She recently was betrayed and is not in a good place. Her mom pulls out a shoe box that had letters Lindy wrote Santa when she was little. The first letter was asking for a dad. The second was asking for a sibling. The third was about a boy (Billy) who was mean and she wanted him to get coal. Her mom suggests she writes a letter to Santa asking him for what she wants. She does. One by one her wishes come true. Some days you just need to sit and read a happy ever ending book when your life isn't getting the same happy ending. I would highly recommend this book for any life long Debbie fans or a fan of Christmas books!

Debbie Macomber's Christmas books are always a treat and this one is no exception. It is a quick, easy read, but it also prepares the reader for the holidays with it's warmth and the way it makes you want to believe again. You can decide if it makes you believe in love or maybe even believe in Santa again too. Whatever you believe, Dear Santa will leave you happy and content.

Thanks to NetGalley and Ballantine/Random House for the gifted copy. All thoughts ae my own.

I love all of the Debbie Macomber’s books, but especially enjoy her holiday books. She has given us another great one this year.

Going home for Christmas is a wonderful thing for many of us, but for Lindy Carmichael, it is just what she needs. Little does she know how this visit home will change her life. In the throes of overcoming a broken romance, losing her best friend, and the many hard hours of work to present a crucial program to prove her worth to her work company, she is very ready for a break.

Santa plays a huge part is in this book which makes it so delightful. I enjoyed this book so much and highly recommend it.

Thanks for Random House – Ballentine publishing and NetGalley for the ARC. The thoughts expressed are my own.

Debbie Macomber keep me warm and cozy with Dear Santa. I love stories that have the real Santa in them. Love is hard to come by when you are trying to climb the corporate ladder. But sometimes we are under appreciated climbing the ladder. Lindy finds herself in this dilemma. But with a great circle of friends and family support she can make the right decision for her. And Santa will win every-time. I rate this book 10 for the holidays.

Lindy Carmichael is not feeling very jolly when she returns home to Wenatchee, Washington for Christmas. The man that she thought she was going to spend her life with cheated on her with her best friend. She is also not feeling very productive in her job. At first, the holiday festivities do not cheer her up until her mother remembers an old tradition that may cheer her up. Her mother shows her a box of childhood letters to Santa. She reflects on what she wished as a child and realized that she always got her wish from Santa even if it was not exactly as she had requested. Her mother encourages her to write a new letter to Santa to help her have faith and believe like she did years earlier. This exercise in gratitude causes her wishes to come true in miraculous ways. She realizes that home is a perfect place to spend Christmas. This is a good book that I recommend.

Debbie Macomber holiday novels are the best! Are they sometimes cheesy and predictable? Yes, but that’s what makes them so lovable each year. This storyline made me cry, smile, & has an ending I loved.

Debbie Macomber never fails to write a great book. I loved the story and thought initially the Santa character was a little over the top but I enjoyed the "mystery" of it. All of the characters were well developed and kept my interest. I think Lindy coming home was exactly what was needed for her as well as her friends Peggy and Billy. It is great to see how you can always go home when your family still lives in the area. This book helped me have a little get away during Christmas in July. Thank you for the advance copy I really enjoyed it.

Debbie Macomber brings us Lindy Carmichael. She comes home for the holidays after a heartache. Her mother reminds her that she used to write letters to Santa. Lindy realizes that her Christmas wishes did come true, but not in the exact way she thought. She decides to write another letter to Santa after her mother suggests the idea. While in town before returning back, will her Christmas wishes come true for her? Will she realize this or let these chances go right by her?

Debbie Macomber brings us a sweet story of love and friendship. We are reminded of our childhood and the importance of a little Christmas magic and second chances. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I would like to thank NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine Books for this privilege.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read and review this book. All thoughts are my own. You cannot go wrong with Ms. Macombers books. The author embraces the season with vivid detail and food that makes the reader want to cook and bake! Lindy goes home after a betraying breakup with her boyfriend and submitting a career changing proposal for her web design job in Seattle. Her Mom senses that Lindy needs to regroup, recharge and gives her old letters that Lindy wrote to Santa, one was give her a best friend, one was to give her a daddy, and one was to give a boy named Billy in the 2nd grade coal for Christmas as he was mean to her in school. Reading these letters help Lindy see her wishes and how they all changed her life and maybe re-connecting with Billy after apologizing for the coal wish....This book was great and I didn't want it to end.

Dear Santa is a pleasant readable addition to Debbie Macomber's Christmas collection. Lindy isn't feeling the spirit of Christmas when she finds her serious boyfriend cheating and her job unfulfilling. She goes home for the holidays and her mother gives her the box of letters that she had written to Santa over the years. She decides to write a new letter and with the hope this brings along with reconnecting with family and an old friend, she manages to find her Christmas joy and a happy ending. I enjoyed this read, although a little predictable. You can never go wrong with a Debbie Macomber Christmas tale. They are always full of promise and love..

Debbie Macomber just not disappoint with Dear Santa ! I really enjoy this cute little story. It was either a quick read or I just couldn’t put it down. It’s a bit predictalble as romance stories go.

Lindy’s life is not going as she hoped it would with a cheating boyfriend and a job she is devoted to, but can’t seem to fit in she heads home for Christmas. Ellen, Lindy’s mom tried everything to help her daughter, when she remember the box of letters she saved that Lindy had written to Santa as a child.

As silly as Lindy thought it was she read the letter only to find that Santa did fill all her Christmas wishes. So with her mothers encouragement she writes a letter to Santa hoping to receive a few Christmas wishes.

This is not only a story about love, second chances and hope, but also sends a message that if you believe anything can happen !
