The story was pretty line was pretty predictable since every time the main character writes a letter to Santa she got her wish. So of course writing a letter to Santa as an adult means she would have her new romantic interest and future husband appear the day after she wrote her letter.

I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. Great Christmas story by Macomber. I am sure this one will also become a holiday Hallmark movie. Good characters and plot and a quick read.

What a wonderful story! Debbie Macomber out did herself with this story. It is a bit of Christmas magic for two young people. Santa really does read the letters. This story proves it. I've been reading Debbie since I was a teen and I've always loved her books!!

Debbie Macomber's Christmas novellas are almost legendary. If you read one, you'll need to pick up the next one, then the next one, then... You get the idea. In Dear Santa, Lindy Carmichael returns home to Wenatchee, WA for a much deserved vacation, where she hopes to recover her joy of the season. Overworked and overstressed, Lindy has also learned that the man she thought she loved has been cheating on her for months with her best friend. A good dose of TLC from her mom is just what she needs.

When Lindy shares her grief with her mom, her mom does the unexpected and pulls out an old shoebox. Inside are the letters to Santa that Lindy had written as a child. She encourages Lindy to read the letters, and as they reminisce about how each was answered, Lindy realizes that, if nothing else, it might make her feel better to put what she needs now into the form of a Dear Santa letter. Too old to still believe in Santa, she writes her letter as a lark. What if her new letter could come true, too?

This was such a fun story to listen to. (I "read" the audio version.) By the end, I was pulling for Lindy to make the right decision. I loved how Macomber throws in a bit of Christmas magic in the form of a department store Santa who just might be the real thing. If this isn't yet a Hallmark Christmas movie, it should be! It has all the elements, and left me feeling good when the final kiss came.

Heartwarming, soothing and touching just what you need a book about Christmas to be about. Lindy Carmichael has come home for the holidays to visit her family. Lindy is not looking forward to the holidays due to the fact her boyfriend not just dumped her but dumped her for best friend. So begins this story where Lindy is feeling hopeless. Lindy's mom encourages her by reminding Lindy of the many times when she was a child she wrote to Santa and how surprisingly the things she wrote Santa all came through.
Lindy laughs it off an remind her mother she is a grown woman who knows Santa no longer exist. With that said Lindy does pen a letter to Santa and mysteriously it seems all she has written and ask for is coming through. As always Debbie's book a uplifting and inspiring. Very encouraging read remind us all to hope and never give up.

Lindy heads to her small hometown after a breakup to spend the holidays with family. There, her mom Ellen shares her old letters to Santa, childhood wonder and wishes Lindy made as a kid when hope was more plentiful. It is a sweet premise and when Lindy writes a new letter to Santa to help her combat her present-day blues, you can only hope things go her way. Fun characters and predicaments, a fun, quick holiday read.

I just love a Debbie Macomber Christmas book, and this one did not disappoint me! Even though I was reading it after Christmas in January, it was still a great read. Lindy writing letters to Santa as a child and then as an adult brought a smile to my face. It made me want to write a letter to Santa, too! Lindy is caught up in corporate America trying to get ahead when she is faced with a decision that will return her to her hometown of Wenatchee. She definitely made the right decision! I will be recommending this book to my friends!

This was an enjoyable holiday read by Debbie Macomber. While there was a bit of instant love between 2 of the main characters, it was still a feel good story with relatable characters. The rekindling of childhood friendship was a great part to the story- and is something that I found totally believable.
I enjoyed this quick read and would definitely recommend it for the holiday season!

Lindy Carmichael returns to her hometown for the holidays and is set to be in a funk the whole holiday. Her mother decides to get her into the holiday mood by having her read all her past letters to Santa. When Lindy talks to Santa things begin to look up. Debbie Macomber alway has the best Christmas stories. I got hooked with her Christmas Angels, Shirley, Goodness and Mercy many years ago. For a uplifting read that is never preachy this is a great gift for readers of all ages. I received a copy of this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Dear Santa by Debbie Macomber is a contemporary romance that is set during the Christmas holiday season. This sweet romance is one of finding hope again during the holidays.

Lindy Carmichael has returned to her hometown of Wenatchee, Washington to spend time with her family for Christmas even though Lindy is not the most cheerful herself. Lindy had thought she had a wonderful relationship until she found out that her boyfriend had been cheating with her best friend.

Lindy’s mother wanted to cheer up Lindy when she arrived so she shared Lindy’s old childhood letters to Santa with her. After reading the stories from when she was young Lindy can’t help but hope for a little Christmas magic to still exist and writes another letter wishing for a new best friend and boyfriend this Christmas.

Having already read and enjoyed many stories from Debbie Macomber I was not surprised to find myself completely enjoying Dear Santa. This one was slightly a second chance romance with the characters having known each other in childhood and it was full of Christmassy fun. Everyone could use a little bit of hope in the holiday season and the author did a wonderful job bringing hope to life in the story. Great feel good read for the season.

I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley.
