DEAR SANTA introduces you to Lindy who is having a difficult time this Christmas. Lindy Carmichael takes a break from her graphic designer job in Seattle. She travels home to her family in Wenatchee, Washington. Leaving her home in Seattle is just the break she needs now as she recently caught her boyfriend and best friend together. Wow, all I can say is, this story blew me away! Keep the tissues close by as you are reading DEAR SANTA by Debbie Macomber. She will have your emotions all over the place. Once I started reading, it was very hard to stop! The twists and turns made it impossible to put down, as I had to know what was going to happen to Lindy after so much heartache! What an awesome story. All of Debbie’s characters feel genuine and relatable and put your emotions on one heck of a roller coaster ride. As you are reading, you will find yourself cheering for all of them, praying they can work out their problems and be happy once again. You will also wonder how much heartache a person can stand before they completely break down and shatter.

DEAR SANTA will have you giggling out loud, at the same time holding your breath. The way Lindy freaked out was totally expected and I’m sure I would have done the same thing. DEAR SANTA is all about family and the past and the secrets that come out are heart tugging. It had me flipping through the pages like a woman on a mission. I had to know what was going to happen to Lindy and all the secondary characters. Maybe she can find the meaning of her life once again. While in her hometown, Lindy runs into her childhood nemesis, Billy, who manages and owns The Wine Press which is a local restaurant. She realizes that Billy was a bully to her during school because he liked her. DEAR SANTA is a heart tugging story that will hold you hostage until the very last page. Once you start reading, it will be very hard to put down!

I have never met a Debbie Macomber story that didn’t pull on my heart strings and DEAR SANTA did not disappoint. It is kind of predictable but I still loved every minute of it. It is a sweet story filled with family, emotions that will have you smiling and tearing up, second chances and no bad language or sex scenes. I look forward to Debbie Macomber’s holiday stories every year and as soon as I know they are coming I’m filled with excitement. Debbie has a way of pulling her readers right in and making them fall in love with all of her characters. I found myself cheering for Lindy and hoping she would be able to remember what Christmas is all about.

Another Christmas and another charming holiday read by Debbie Macomber! Linday Carmichael, an up and coming marketing star, returns home for Christmas not really feeling the spirit. Her boyfriend cheated on her with her best friend and she's been trying to prove herself at work to seemingly no avail. While home (in a very adorable festive town) her mom has her look at her old letters to Santa, thinking this might help Lindy navigate things now. Lindy rereads the letters and realizes her wishes were all answered in unexpected ways. Lindy, feeling like she has nothing to lose, writes one last letter to Santa. With Christmas magic and faith-this year will forever change LIndy's life.

This is a festive, magical and charming read we come to expect from Debbie Macomber this time of year. The characters are relatable, the festive descriptions add something special to the story and the hints throughout about Santa in town will warm even the most skeptical believer. If you need a little faith in yourself-this is a great holiday read.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest feedback.

Debbie Macomber does it again. A story about the magic of Christmas and following your heart during the holiday season. When sending a letter to Santa might be what cures all. If you want a quick holiday read this book is the one for you.

I always have to read the Christmas books from this author as they are always just light-hearted fluffy fun.

Lindy is at a crossroads in her life and not feeling very joyful. The one man she thought was 'the one' cheated on her with her best friend. Her job isn't treating her right either and it seems she has to work harder than others to get ahead. Her mother wants her to come home for Christmas and she has decided to go.

At her mothers as she is taking about things her mom reminds her about the letters she had written to Santa and how she has kept them. She tells her to read them as she never asked for things regular kids would ask for and it seemed that is an unusual want her wishes always happened. Then her mom tells her to write a new letter to Santa.

Lindy thought that was dumb and she wasn't going to do it but then she decides to do it anyway. She ask for a friend like she had as a child and for a man who would treat her well. Then a strange thing happens the next day.

I liked Lindy and Will and thought they made a cute couple. I thought this was just a sweet romance and as always just a fun Christmas story and that is what you always get with a Debbie Macomber Christmas book!

I think my one complaint might be that I felt the ending was quite rushed, other than that I really enjoyed it.

Lindy Carmichael has been going through a rough patch and is looking forward to some time with her family for Christmas. The return home to Wenatchee, Washington takes on new meaning as she reconnects with old friends. Will reading through her old letters to Santa put the sparkle back on Christmas?

Debbie Macomber delivers another Hallmark Channel worthy Christmas romance. Although her stories are predictable and often similar to each other, sometimes it is nice to read a clean romance about a person who realizes that she has more to offer the world. Not the best book I ever read, but not the worst, the magic of Christmas comes alive in a year where not many miracles have happened. This beach read, wrapped up in holiday paper, will be enjoyable to those who like the genre.

I wish the author had spent more time developing the characters and exploring the setting, but this quick read was enjoyable nevertheless. Readers who like Christian holiday romances will enjoy Dear Santa.

I would love to see this book made into a Hallmark movie! Thank you Net-Galley Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine, Ballantine Books for the opportunity to read this story.

This was a quick read for me. I was able to dive right in and not put it down.

Lindy Carmichael has decided to go home for Christmas this year. Taking 2 weeks to spend with
family, much needed time after disappointments and betrayal is what she needs. Her mom gives her letters that she wrote to Santa as a young girl to read, which Lindy thinks is a waste of time why would she want to read them. She does eventually read them and decides what the heck and writes another letter.

Will her wishes to Santa come true? Time will only tell. I loved this sweet romance. A little bit of Christmas magic, romance and life lessons all wrapped into a great story. You can never go wrong with a DM Christmas story!

Dear Santa by Debbie Macomber is the sweetest Christmas story, I loved every second of it. The storyline is of Lindy Carmichael coming home for the holidays in not the best frame of mind. Lindy rekindles some old friendships, something she desperately needs after having been burned in her most-recent relationships. Dear Santa is full of Christmas joy and spirit, I would highly recommend putting this one at the top of your Christmas story to-read list!

This book fell into my December, holiday read marathon. Dear Santa by Debbie Macomber is a cute holiday read. The lead character comes home, after her life falls apart. Her boyfriend has been cheating on her, with her best friend and she is waiting to hear about a big project at work. When she gets home her mother decides to cheer her up by showing her all the letters she wrote to Santa over the years. Lindy Carmichael thinks this is a silly exercise to find some happiness. But the longer she is home and the more letters she reads.. she starts to feel some joy.. Dear Santa, reminds of all the joys and traditions Christmas brings. How coming home and being with family can help a heart heal. And maybe just maybe a Christmas miracle or two can come true.. I love a read like this, happy and hopeful.. always wins for me..

Dear Santa by Debbie Macomber is the perfect holiday read. Ms Macomber never fails to deliver the perfect feel good holiday story. Here, Santa himself has a hand in helping a woman reconnect with the least likely man from her past. Santa is a great matchmaker. This is the perfect read for the holidays or a long weekend. I loved it. I received a digital copy of this book from the publisher with no obligations. These opinions are entirely my own.

A definite read for the holidays. Some decisions to be made; but Santa is there to help this almost 30 year old with her decision.

Dear Santa was a heartwarming Christmas story. Heartbroken Lindy is returning to her hometown over Christmas break. She’s discovered that her best friend has been secretly having an affair with her (Lindy’s) boyfriend.

The breakup is hard for Lindy, so when she returns home for Christmas she’s looking for some downtime – some time for rest and relaxation.

Things take an interesting turn when she finds an old letter that she wrote to Santa. Intrigued, she writes a letter to Santa telling him of her hopes and dreams.

I loved how Lindy’s trip turned interesting when she encounters Peggy, her childhood best friend. The two reconnect and their friendship is revived. She also runs into Billy – a boy that didn’t hold good memories for her.

As the story unfolds you see a romance blossoming and Lindy is forced with making an important decision. She struggles with this decision and considers how her actions may affect her family and friends.

One part of the story that really resonated with me was when Peggy and Lindy were talking about how they first met. Peggy reminded Lindy that when she first arrived in their neighborhood she was the only Black person in their class. Peggy ate lunch alone and Lindy joined her and asked if she had rollerblades. Lindy then invited Peggy to her house so that they could play.

I could relate to that because when my family moved to a new neighborhood when I was ten I was the only person of color in my class. Folks were mean and used racial slurs. It was awful and to this day, I wish we’d never moved. I did make friends in my new neighborhood but I still preferred our old home. My family used to live on a military base and there were more people of different races. I missed living in that environment.

Dear Santa is a delightful book to read over the holidays. It will also make you question if Santa really exists.
