Debbie Macomber is the queen of Christmas magic and Dear Santa does not disappoint. Lindy is comes home for Christmas after a tough year on her own in Seattle- she has lost her best friend, her boyfriend and work isnt what she had hoped it would be. Upon her arrival, her Mom shares her old letters from Santa and how she always got what she wanted when she wrote to him, so she decided to do it again.
It is Christmas magic through and through with a sweet love story, reconnecting with family and friends, and ultimately the choices you make for the life you want.
While Lindy's home for the holidays she decides to write Santa a letter. She always did as a child and Santa did his best to help her wishes come true. As an adult she thinks it's all for fun. But then her wishes again start to come true.
Dear Santa is a sweet, feel good, fun holiday filled romance story. Even if predictable from the beginning I really liked it.
I loved this book. I thought it was such a sweet book. The magical element of letters to Santa gave it such a dreamy feel. I never miss a book by this amazing author and this truly hit the mark.
Lindy returns home to Wenatchee, Washington, for Christmas. Her job as a graphic designer is not as fulfilling as she thought it might be, and her boyfriend cheated on her - with Lindy's best friend. This Christmas will be one of licking her wounds. Until her mother brings out a box of childhood letters that Lindy wrote to Santa and suggests that Lindy write a letter to Santa - after all, you never know - it might work.
Writing the letter, greeting old friends and making new friends - all these things work together to lift Lindy's spirits. Christmas truly is a magical time, and Debbie Macomber does Christmas so well.
Another excellent story by Debbie Macomber. I loved the story and recommend it as an enjoyable Christmas story.
Lindy is heartbroken and felt betrayed by those closest to her. Christmas is near and she decides it's time to go home to visit her parents and get away from it all. While she's there some remarkable things occur that change her life and it's all due to a letter she writes.
Dear Santa is a charming book that is unique in the way that it is both magical and believable at the same time. I was hooked from the start a blew through the pages as I needed to see what happened next. This is a sweet romantic love story with a warm Christmas charm setting. I loved this charming Christmas read.

Wonderful, enjoyable, & entertaining Christmas story! Love, family, & holidays go hand in hand. Do you believe in Santa? I think we all should believe in Santa to some degree. Especially where hopes and dreams are concerned. Grab a cup of hot chocolate and sit down to enjoy a great book.
I received an ebook ARC from Netgalley but read the hardback and this is my voluntary, honest review.
Such a cute story about the magic of Christmas and a letter to Santa. Sometimes you just have to believe. I loved this book.
Home for Christmas. Lindy has two full weeks off to celebrate the holidays with her family. She needs that nostalgia to escape personal and work problems that have plagued her over the last six months. To be surrounded by love is what she needs most. Home and Christmas. The perfect combination to help her out of her deep emotional slump. With a little Christmas magic she finds true friendship and love where she least expects it. I adored this sweet and whimsical Christmas romance about family, friendship, love and forgiveness. It will bring warmth to your heart, and a smile to your face!
Thanks so much to Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine via NetGalley for kindly providing an arc in exchange for an honest review.
Debbie Macomber writes the best Christmas stories. Dear Santa does not disappoint. It brings Christmases of past and combines them with Christmas Present. Lindy Carmichael isn't feeling especially festive this year. Her "one" turned out not to be. However, bringing back an old tradition may just be what Santa ordered. A trip back to her roots brings Lindy some relief. Will she be able to move on from deception? Will the small spark turn into more? Grab your cocoa and curl up with this wonderful story set during the wonderful time of the year. I received a copy through Netgalley. A review was not required.
This is the perfect book to start the Christmas season. I loved every second of this book. When I wasn’t reading it, I was thinking about it. One thing that I love about Debbie’s books is there is zero stress reading then. I feel like I’m spending time with a lovely family during the holidays. I loved Lindy and Bill’s relationship. I so enjoyed the cozy times, the beautiful family time and the festive spirit of the holidays. Most of all, I loved the beautiful message of that belief in Santa and how even as an adult a little of that magic lives in us.
Loved this book. A feel good book to enjoy during this holiday season. A lovely story about moving on and then going back to what mattered the most to you.
Lindy is on her way home for the holidays. She has just finished a major proposal for a new account despite her colleagues doubts about her abilities.
Lindy is doubting her life and hoping this visit will help her to make some changes.
When her mother presents her with her old letters to Santa she decides to write another letter and ask for some guidance for her life.
Some of her childhood friends come into her life and she sees her life changing for the better but can she leave the life in Seattle that she has worked so hard to build.
Debbie Macomber once again gives us a heartwarming holiday story of love and family.
Debbie Macomber never fails to write engaging books! I loved the characters, I laughed and of course, cried. I wished for more...I wanted to read the details between the end of the book and the epilogue.
Thanks to netgalley, the published and author for the advanced copy.
What a magical Christmas story! This story made me want to sit down and right a letter to Santa! Lindy returns home for the holidays and reconnects with people from her past which all stem from her Santa letters she wrote as a child. You will fall in love with Lindy’s family, friends and the town she grew up in. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the chance to read an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This was such a cute book, I really enjoyed it! I blazed through it during a stressful flight and it pulled me right in, made me smile, and was a perfect feel good distraction. Debbie Macomber’s holiday books are always some of my absolute favorites!
Debbie Macomber always writes a book that draws me into the story but when Christmas is added in, I could not put the book down.
I loved reading the letters with Lindy and really felt her emotions and that she wrote a 'new' letter to Santa. I also liked the way her relationship developed.
All I can say if you like a book that makes you 'feel good', this one is it.
Debbie Macomber delivers again - a heartfelt Christmas story filled with the romance of second chances. When Lindy rereads her old Letters to Santa, her mother encourages to write a new letter telling Santa what she needs and wants this year. As her wishes start to come true, the story becomes quite lovely. It reminds us all of the magic of Christmas,
This one tugged at my heart from the start. I couldn’t help but love Billy and Lindy, and the rest of the characters. Santa was special before, but he leaped to a new level. A magical Christian story. Book provided by NetGalley.
#DeadSanta:
“I noticed nearly everything you asked Santa to bring you, he did. Not always in the way you wanted, but in a way that was better.”
The premise was so adorable. I loved how the story came about in the authors note. It’s such a short read, but just right to really enjoy and savor the sweetness that is Debbie Macomber’s books!
The Santa in the book was the cutest! I love a sneaky Santa that plays the part so well you truly start to believe in the magic of Christmas again. As adults, we get bombarded with the buying, shopping, traffic, seasonal depression, parties we don’t want to go, that we forget the innocence in the magic of just.. believing.
The characters are wonderful, and definitely a lot more forgiving than I’ll ever be. You couldn’t help but cheer for Lindy. I will say, I wish we got a bit more backstory of Lindy & Brian and Lindy & Celeste. I didn’t feel as sad for her that she lost them to where I wanted her to really find a good friendship and love.
Overall, this was the sweet Santa book I’ve been looking for. It’s cute, it reminds you of the childlike innocence of just.. believing, and it has wonderful characters. It wrapped up so well with all the feels and love! It reminded me of the end of Love Actually with everyone in the airport. Thank you so much Penguin for the gifted copy. Dear Santa is out now!
