Always look forward to Macomber's Christmas stories as they make us mindful of gratitude. In this story the main character's present is shaped by her past. Finding solace in old letters Lindy wrote to Santa as a child she hesitantly sits down to write new ones to help with healing a broken heart. Her mother reminds her that all her wishes had been granted when she was younger. She is able to reunite with 2 old friends whose company helps lead her to a happier future. Old and new traditions are what Christmas is all about. Life is about the choices we make. All this is woven into another charming Christmas offering from Macomber.

A cute and quick holiday story to usher in the holiday season. Lindy returns home for Christmas, only to meet a Santa who seems to know her past and future aspirations. She reconnects with Peggy her childhood friend, meets a man Billy who teased her as a child and is now a successful restauranter, and questions her current job.

After a series of uplifting meetings with Santa, she comes to a realization about what's most important in life. Lundy must make some decisions about her life, a new love, and the future.

I received a free ARC eBook from Net Galley and the publisher in exchange for my honest opinions.

A sweet holiday story. Lindy recaptures her belief in Christmas and all the joy it brings as she spends time at home with her family and friends. She falls in love by going back to her childhood roots of writing a letter to Santa and connecting with the first boy who loved her. This is a warm and lovely story filled with Christmas spirit.

Dear Santa is everything I never knew I wanted in a Christmas romance! It is whimsical, heartfelt, and comforting without being over-the-top sugary. Lindy is home for Christmas and licking her wounds from a bad break-up, in which she lost both her best friend and her boyfriend. Her mom tries to cheer her up by showing her some of her old Letters to Santa, and encourages her to write one this year. What results is being able to reconnect with some of the more memorable people from her past, and try to forge a new path forward.

I couldn’t put this book down, and it has definitely gotten me into the Christmas spirit, even though it is only October!

This is a really uplifting and warm hearted holiday read that is quick to read with an unusual premise. Lindy Carmichael has had a tough year. Her best friend and roommate got her own place only to take Lindy's boyfriend with her. Her dream job of designing websites turns sour with the employees giving her a cold shoulder because another employee wanted her job. With long hours and hard work to prove herself, she deserves the two week vacation at Christmas. She leaves Seattle and heads home to Wenatchee, a few hours away, to recuperate and relax. At her mother's suggestion, she reads old letters that she wrote to Santa.as a young girl. Why in the world? Her mom wants her to see how Santa answered her wishes, beginning with getting a daddy. She suggests that Lindy write a new letter to Santa with her wishes and concerns. What a release and sense of peace she found after putting her concerns on paper. Her wishes begin to come true when she connects with an old friend and then a bully boy from her childhood that might be not such a bully. Fun, romance, family time, special holiday blessings given and received, and a new perspective on life make this a great read to get in some Christmas spirit.
I received a complimentary ARC from Random House Publishing Group, Ballentine Books and NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are mine only.

Her mom doing her best to cheer up her daughter gives her a box of letters that she had written to Santa from her childhood. In desperate need of a reset she sits down and writes another letter to Santa. She has three things that she wants. A new best friend, a green light from the Ferguson group about her pitch and lastly a man who can be her everything.
Surprisingly enough she reconnects with her former best friend Peggy from grade school and they picked up right where they left off. While getting to know Peggy again they go to a new restaurant called The Wine Press. Much to Lindy’s shock The Wine Press is owned and operated by her childhood nemesis Billy. She begins to realizes that Billy was so awful to her because he had a crush on her. She feels terrible that in one of the letters her mom gave her, she had asked Santa to leave Billy a lump of coal. Will these 2 be able to get past their past? What will Lindy learn about her pitch from The Ferguson group? Is Seattle really where she should be? Check out Dear Santa By Debbie Macomber which comes out this Tuesday, October 19, 2021.

Lindy Carmichael is a talented web designer who has just submitted the proposal of a lifetime. She lives alone in Seattle after being betrayed by her boyfriend and best friend and is anxiously awaiting her two-week break during the Christmas season in the small Washington state town she grew up in. Upon arrival, her mom shows her a box of letters Lindy wrote to Santa as a child and is encouraged to write a new letter this year asking Santa for her hearts desire. Lindy reconnects with some old friends and begins to feel whole again. As she grows closer to Billy, the boy of her grade school nightmares, she begins to reevaluate if the life she has in Seattle is really the one she wants after all.

This is a charming story set in an idyllic Christmasy town with happy, joyful characters with a whole lot of heart. Lindy is a hardworking woman who has been dealt a bad hand, but who is determined not to give up on her dreams of a successful career or her own true love story. I really enjoyed reading this quick romantic Christmas story. Thank you to NetGalley, Random House Books - Ballentine, and Debbie Macomber for an advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.

The queen of whimsical tales, Debbie Macomber, writes another great one!

Lindy Carmichael is feeling anything but joy when she returns home to Wenatchee, Washington, for Christmas. The man she thought she would be spending her life with has cheated on her with her best friend, and she feels no creativity in her graphic-design job. But her mother reminds her of an old tradition that she participated in as a child that lifts her spirits.

While reading through a box of childhood letters to Santa she thinks about some of the things she wished for and is inspired when her mother encourages her to write a new letter to Santa with her new wishes. Once she writes her letter she experiences what gratitude can bring. Not only will she reunite with her first true friend but she will also connect with a former classmate with some very welcomed results

I always enjoy Debbie Macomber books, throw in Christmas and I am a sucker for every one of them! Debbie Macomber has a way with Christmas books that just draws you into the story and captures your heart from beginning to end.

Lindy Carmichael is not in the Christmas mood very much when she heads back home for the holidays. Her ex has ruined when she thought that he was the one for her. He cheated on her with her best friend, and neither one of them bothered to warn her what was going on. Lindy has been working on a project at work that she hopes will get her in with one of the big companies but with everything going on, Lindy has not really been into her work lately.

Lindy goes back home and stays with her parents during the holidays. Lindy's mom has been cleaning out some and has found a letter that Lindy wrote to Santa when she was back in grade school. Lindy was not fond of Billy back in school because he was a bully. When she runs into Billy again when she goes to the local wine press with her friends, she realizes that he has done a lot of changing. Is Billy still the bully that he used to be or is he someone that Lindy could actually be friends with now? You will have to read this sweet story by Debbie Macomber to see how things end up with Lindy and Billy. I loved this story and thought that it was the perfect story for a romantic Christmas read.

I voluntarily read and reviewed this book and all opinions are my own. Thanks to Netgalley, the publisher and the author for an advanced copy of this book. I really enjoyed it.

Debbie Macomber does it again in this delightful Christmas story about moving on while embracing the past. Lindy is heartbroken about a break-up and betrayal by her best friend. As she goes home to spend Christmas with her family her mom has her read letters to Santa that Lindy had written and her mom had saved. Filled with a delicious whimsy that only interactions with Santa can bring Lindy finds happiness with a boy who she once asked Santa to give only coal. It is charming in every way with great life lessons thrown in for good measure. I highly recommend this holiday fare!
