Murder On The Horizon…
The second in the Furever Pets Mystery series and murder is on the horizon for Liz when she discovers one of her prospective feline owners murdered in his study. As more bizarre facts come to light Liz finds that she may well be in grave danger herself. Enjoyable cosy mystery with a likeable and empathetic protagonist and a colourful cast of supporting characters. A fitting addition to the series.
What a great read. I personally love anything that shows such compassion to our furry friends. A cast of well developed characters who left me wanting more, more and well more.
I enjoyed the mystery and characters in this series. I fell in love with the fact Liz and her compassion toward animals. The mystery has lots of twist and turns. Overall a wonderful book!

Liz owns a pet rescue, is married to a veterinarian, and has two grown kids, one of whom is apprenticing to be a PI. Liz has two main problems: one is a toxic woman who is crazy competitive, and the other is the follow-up related to the man she had vetted as a cat adopter but had found his body when she tried to deliver the animal. Although Liz has experience with the homicide department, she really does not consider herself an amateur sleuth. The animals are great, the humans are quirky, the plot is twisty, and the red herrings drove me nutz. A fine read.
I requested and received a free temporary ebook copy from Kensington Books via NetGalley. Thank you!
Liz runs a service of finding furever homes for animals, especially ones that are harder to adopt. When she takes a Maine Coon to a guy that was going to adopt him she finds his body instead. A good cozy mystery, and great characters. Would recommend.
Liz Denton runs Furever Ever Pets animal rescue. She finds great homes for the animals she rescues and believes in happy endings. When her latest adoption is set to be finalized, Liz finds the adopter murdered.
When it turns out the adopter was a man accused of murdering his wife three decades ago, she can’t help bu try to find out more about the man and both murders. But can she figure it out before she herself is put down when curiosity didn’t only kill the cat?
This series is definitely a favorite…who doesn’t love seeing animals find their furever homes and living happily ever after? A whodunit that will leave you wanting to cuddle with your fur babies even more than you do now.
Dial ‘M’ for Maine Coon is an adorable addition to this series.
Liz Denton is a great character, down to earth, and very likable. Rescuing animals is important to Liz, so when the placement of Sheamus, an adorable Maine Coon goes wrong, Liz finds herself wrapped up in another murder investigation.
This story has plenty of excitement going on, and once I started reading I couldn’t put it down.
I’m looking forward to reading more in this series.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for selecting me to read this advanced copy. Reviews will be posted accordingly.

Dial “M” for Maine Coon by Alex Erickson is a great cozy mystery that is the second book in the awesome series: A Furever Pets Mystery.
I love this series!
1. It has a central theme of animal rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming.
2. It includes adorable and amazing pets, this time Sheamus, an adorable and spunky Maine Coon cat (I had a beautiful MC for almost 10 years named Butterfinger…he was so amazing and special…).
3. Wonderful character cast and main character: Liz. She is smart, down to earth, realistic, imperfect, and somehow gets wrapped up into murder mysteries. One didn’t know that pet adoption could be so deadly!
4. Great murder/mystery plots. Plenty of culprits. A few twists and turns, and a great ending.
All of these factors add up to what I expect to be an excellent cozy mystery series!
5/5 stars
