L.P. Maxa is one of my go to authors, so when I had the opportunity to read this title via Netgalley - I jumped at the chance! This book definitely lived up to my expectations! This book is slightly different than the previous ones in the series, but I loved it all the same. It is a fast paced, fun paranormal romance.

I received this book as an ARC from NetGalley.
Please note - this is book #6 in a 7 book series.

The St. Leasing saga continues with Riley. Nice guy Riley, the peacekeeper, the level headed one. Riley goes off to college and spends his 1st semester keeping to himself. He goes to baseball events when required, but that is it. He misses his pack, his family. Fate decides it is time to shake things up and has Blake, literally, blow into his room during a party in the dorm. A vision in bubble gum pink, she cannot leave him alone. They become inseparable. He keeps her identity a secret from his family so he does not need to be harrassed by his family. He is honest her name is Blake, but not that she is a she, not a he.

Everything starts to go sideways when Jasper shows up unannounced to drive back to the mansion with Riley and surprise!!!! Blake is a chick! As they try to make their way home for Christmas break, a snow storm literally redirects them to a secluded cabin that Jace has out in the woods. What happens there starts a path Riley is in denial about.

I have really enjoyed this series. I have devoured these 6 books in 7 days - I cannot wait for Jasper's book to finish this series.

Holy Smokes!! I've never read L.P.Maxa before this, but I will be from now on! At 191 pages this is a must-read on a rainy day, on the beach, in bed late at night when your insomnia kicks in, at work on your lunch break...basically, it's a must-read anytime anywhere. Steamy, sweet, flirty, snarky, and really well developed in such a short amount of pages. I hadn't read the first 5 in the series but I felt totally engrossed in the characters, Maxa's world, and her lore without it so I think this could be read in any order, but I'd love to go back and read them from the beginning. I loved Blake's carefree, love for life, excitable personality, and felt it meshed so well with Riley's laid-back, quiet, more serious personality. Throw in Jasper and you have a stick of dynamite waiting to explode! I can't wait to read Jasper's story that's for sure!!

Not sure I needed the bad guy angle, but enjoyable, quick read. Liked the addition of the supernatural elements.

I looked the title up before asking for this title but I didn't realize it was the 6th part of a series. This didn't stop me from enjoying it or understanding it. This is a big plus because it means you can start at any point of the story.

I'm dying to know the rest of the pack, tho. All 5 books have been added to my TBR.

The author writes about shifters, and I love paranormal books. I was intrigued about the pack dynamic, the shifting and also the subplot which I won't spoil for you but was really fascinating.

Out two main characters are Riley and Blake. Riley is a sweet, nice guy who is having a hard time adjusting to college, missing his family and his pack that is until a blond beauty barges into his room and forces him into friendship. Blake is a bubby person, loud, funny, sarcastic and dramatic she's my favourite type of person and just adored their relationship. They quickly become best friends... that is until Jasper gets there. Jasper is Riley's best friend and pack mate, closer than family and Riley knows Jasper is going to want to bed Blake.

Queue the snowstorm that traps the three of them in a cabin in the middle of nowhere. Tension between the three of them appear, dynamics will shift and things will only complicate themselves when a new threat appears to haunt them and force them all to spend the winter with Riley's complicated family. Of course, we can't forget the fact Blake doesn't know anything about the shifters, the pack or Riley's family past. Can she fit in the middle of their dynamic or will the pack prove to be too much to handle?

This book is totally my cup of tea. From strangers, to friends, to lovers to forever. The hand of fate is one of my favourite topics to read and I just adored the way this story developed. Reading about shifters is always fun.

I think it's worth mentioning that this is a standalone book but the series ceirtainly seems like a great thing to read.
