I unfortunately did not connect with this story so after about 25% i decided to put it down. There was a slight disconnect between the writing, the characters and the plot and for that it just did not work for me.

This book was cute, and one that I remember being quote fond of upon finishing. There is a certain insta-love quality that comes into play between our main characters, but its not as *cheesy* as it could have been. The wild thing is, is that there are details from this cute rom-com, that were seemingly innocuous- but I find my brain trying to remember "what was that book I read."
This is a perfect read for any mood reader who finds themselves looking for a book on a leap year (or even St. Patrick's day adjacent) wanting something cozy and sweet. Especially if you're looking for something reminiscent of Amy Adams in the 2010 movie, "Leap Year." It definitely hits the spot, and a good one to revisit.

I loved this book! The Ireland setting was so fun! The dog!!! I love animals in books. This one was so cute and a fun time!

Dnf 80%
It's hard when you ALMOST Finish the book but you cannot take it anymore.
I'm Irish and there is only so much weird interpretation of my country.
Also didn't feel much romance between the two, so between those items... I'm proud for how far I held out.

This was fine. It was an easy enough listen to get it off my Netgalley shelf.
It wasn’t a romance of preference though. I prefer more open door, and also more banter and humour. I also thought the random epilogue from the dog was unnecessary.

I love this book. The idea of all finding romance on leap day is imaginative and heartwarming as well. There is banter and chemistry, so I was enthralled by this book from start to finish. This is a cute romcom that I would highly recommend.

I read this back and forth as audio and ebook. It reminded me somewhat of one of my favorite movies, Leap Day.
This was so cute and entertaining, and a perfect book to escape to Ireland and then California. There is instant attraction, just one bed and of course the accidental marriage. It feels steamier than it is, but it’s firmly fade to black which is a pretty impressive feat. It’s fast pace kept me listening when I should have been doing other things.
I highly recommend the audio. The narrator did a fantastic job with Finn’s Irish accent.

Lucky Leap Day was such a cute romcom, and perfect for February!
A Leap Day tradition in Ireland is called Ladies’ Privilege, where women can propose to men. After a few too many whiskies, Cara proposes and marries Finn while visiting Dublin on vacation.
The chemistry between Cara and Finn was fantastic and the addition of the doggy made for a fun read. Oh and Penelope was the perfect side character to give some comic relief and wise advise.
This was a lovely clean romance, with all of the steamy scenes closed door and fade to black
Thank you to Sourcebooks Casablanca and NetGalley for the review copy of Lucky Leap Day!

A very cute premise and loved the characters. Didn't realize that it'd be fade to black though and was a little disappointed by that 😂

This travel romance has so much heart. The syrupy sweetness is never overpowering. Instead, it's wish fulfillment of the best kind. This is an aspirational love story, and doesn't let up on trying to prove to readers everywhere that love does exist and it can be yours.

Dnf’d pretty quick. I couldn’t find anything to hook me into the story. Boring so very boring. Usually I try 25% but I just couldn’t get there.

I loved the cover page, it draw me to attention to read this. It was fun, light and easy read with lovely characters. This is a not so slow-burn- but not insta romance with just right level of steamy. The characters are kind, easygoing, and clever. I loved the fact that it's happening in Ireland, I liked writing style and all the sceneries that were in book.

This is a cute book. It’s a super quick and easy romcom. It is a closed door romance, which I enjoyed. I do wish the book was set in Ireland more, that was a quick part of the story. Overall, I enjoyed it and would recommend it!

While in Ireland Cara decides to partake in the Leap Day tradition of proposing to a man. She chooses Finn. So begins the sexy romance between Cara and Finn. This was a delightfully humorous read. I loved all the secondary characters as well. I was rooting for Cara and Finn from the beginning!

This story was not for me and I know I am in the minority. I couldn't really get into it so the story kind of dragged for me. I do like the writing style and I will read more from this author.

This one was a lovely read. I really enjoyed reading this one. I just love this kind of books.
4 stars read for me

A triumphant, emotional contemporary romance, with comedy sprinkled in. This was very touching and i really wanted these characters to make it, i loved them, which made it a little tense at times. Full of strong friendships, and the epilogue was fantastic. Whiskey can lead to many things - hangovers are one, husbands are another! After one-too-many whiskeys, fledgling screenwriter Cara Kennedy takes a page out of someone else’s script when she gets caught up in the Irish tradition of women proposing on Leap Day.
Such a fun, easy to read, whirlwind romance for any romance connoisseur.

3.5 stars. So so.
This book is so closed-door I didn’t even realize they’d been intimate until it’s randomly mentioned in passing.
I felt this book was really unfair to Finn. He didn’t even have acting aspirations (that were told to the reader at least) but it was used against him as a method of using Cara.
Predictable breakup and reunion. Kind of tired of that trope.
The epilogue was horrible.
Julia is my favorite character. I want a best friend like her, or maybe just to be her.
Dance on a Tuesday night. Life is too short.

This is a really great book! I love accidental marriages and this one was definitely one for the books! I'll be reading more of Walker in the future!
