This book is ok, but it definitely has an agenda rather than "search for the truth". It has some good points and is occasionally interesting, but overall it is a slog to get through and wanders around in circles a lot.
I feel conflicted in writing my review about the book. On the one hand, I find it witty, smart, honest, and brave; while on the other I found it tinged with criticism and a bit too condescending, and not completely sure of the scientific basis for all that is pointed out.
But I love how the book shines a light on the critical subject of global warming - and points out there are two sides to every story, thereby challenging us to question things we hear and read.. I am someone who is worried about the impact of global warming, and at the same time I do not want to believe in a doomsday prediction and hope we can reverse the harm we have inflicted, at least to some degree.
Note: While I did not read the book fully when I first downloaded it for review years ago, I did read it more recently borrowing it from the local library (this was a quicker read) so I could complete all my pending NetGalley reviews of years ago.
I was drawn to this book because of the title and just as the title suggests, this is a fun and easy read! Definitely recommend!
