A sweet book, I love the town of Hope Valley and it's inhabitants.
But the ending felt a bit rushed.
i like me a Maggie Wild book and will read more of her stories. They had me hooked and I wanted to read more of this. I really enjoyed this.
A fantastic read! The landscape is beautiful, the characters too, and the plot is very fluid, letting the chemistry between the two characters completely paint the story.

It is an ideal book to spend a good weekend with a cuppa by your side
It’s a standard romantic book. It was cute, hat it’s moments but it didn’t pull on my heartstrings as much as other stories in this category.
I really liked this book! It was such a heartwarming story and the author immerse you into the story.
I would love to see a little more about character development but overall it was a quick, fun read.
A pleasant surprise. A nice short story about a second chance at love and about re connecting with the one who got away. It flowed well and it was very cute. If chick lit is your thing I would recommend it.
Back Home to You - Maggie Wild
First off when I started this book I didn’t know it was a part of a series but you can definitely read this book as a standalone!
After being fired from her temp job and dumped by her boyfriend who was also her boss. Harry decides to take a moment to find her next job and help her Grandma out while she has hip surgery. Shortly after she arrives she remembers what she loves about the small town Hope, England and also runs into her high school love Jamie. As Harry and Jamie fall right back into their friendship, they begin to wonder could a relationship work between them? Or will their dreams get in the way again.
I really liked this second chance romance! The plot flowed so nicely, the characters had so much chemistry and were absolutely great together!
Both Jamie and Harry brought out the best in each other! Harry was so supportive of Jamie in his ultimate dream and to hear the vision she had for him was exactly what he needed was a sign at how great these two are together.
I think second chance romances may be one of my fave romance tropes!

This book was such a heart warming read. A story about a love that, though apart, never failed to keep burning. Harry decides to fly from San Francisco back home to England to help her gran recover from a hip replacement surgery. What Harry didn't expect was to be re united with the one who she let go and the need to rekindle the romance that was never forgotten. Back Home to You brought you a sense of warm and fuzzies about meeting the right person at the wrong time, learning to grow apart in order to become better versions of themselves and then coming back to each other in a passionate love story that is meant to bring hope home! Such a cute read. I highly recommend.

What's the real definition for 'home'? Is it the place where you grew up in? The place where you are now? For Maggie Wild, it's simple: it's the place where your heart feels free.
This romance was so cute! I loved Harriet 'Harry' and Jamie, they were the cutest couple, the classic friends-to-lovers trope! I adored the fact that he had this huge dream and couldn't make it true without her! Was so enchanting!
I highly recommend everyone reading this! So, so wonderfully well-written!
The book is the second book in a series by Maggie Wild.
At first I have to establish that I have not in fact read the first one, however that did not hinder me from understanding and enjoying the story.
The story follows Harry (Harriet) who is fired at the beginning and goes back to her hometown to help her grandmother. There she meets her ex boyfriend again.
I thought the concept was cute even though it had some well known clichés in it. And the book was a good read with a good length.
Thank you Maggie Wild and Netgalley for providing me this ARC in exchange with a honest review.
This book was a smooth and enjoyable read. The characters were relatable, and I loved them all.
Even if I have not read the first book in the series, I was able to enjoy it without being lost. This novel is entertaining.
I received an arc of this book and the opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

this book is the second one in a series called hope valley and it follows harry who realizes her boyfriend/manager is married, gets fired and decides to go back home for some time to take care of her grandmother. she then sees jamie, her ex boyfriend from high school and they start reconnecting. this is a short romance book that’s really cute and it’s really easy to read so if that’s what you’re looking for go for it!!
i only gave it 3 stars because i wasn’t a big fan of the writing but i think that’s just a personal thing that’s completely different for everyone.
A sweet second chance in the countryside.

At the beginning of this story Harry, Harriet, is called to human resources and is fired, her relationship of two years become a lie and her grandmother needs a hip operation for which she decides to travel to Hope, England, and take that time off to take care of her. In her first hours in town she meets her first love, Jamie, who is back in her hometown trying to move on from a broken heart.

Harry returns to England to take care of her grandmother who just went through surgery, but she’s also going back to lick her wounds as she just got fired and dumped in the span of a couple days. When she meets her old love in town, familiar memories come back and make her miss the life she used to have with him. Jamie fulfilled what he thought were his dreams by opening a restaurant in London but realises that it’s not what he wants. He moves back home and starts a prospering business in the area. When the girl of he’s always loved comes back home, he starts to dream bigger and want more from his life.
I really liked this book. It was short, sweet, and full of love. I absolutely love small town romances and this one was so cute. Harry and Jamie bring out the best in each other and you can see the love and respect they have for one another. What was once a teenage infatuation has matured into a well rounded adult romance.
Harry’s relationship with her grandmother was beautiful. They got along so well and her grandmother encouraged her to make her own decisions and try and fail. It’s so wonderful to experience how they rely on each other.
If you’re looking for something super cute, this is definitely worth a read!
I received an ARC via NetGalley for an honest review.
I really love this series! The first book and now this one are just such sweet books that make you smile. I loved how sweet Harry and Jamie were to each other and loved their second chance love. Also loved how they brought people back from the first book too. However, if you haven’t read the first one you could definitely could read this as standalone, which if you need a feel good story I would for sure read this.
I'm loving this series! Super cute, well written, and adorable setting and characters.
I also love a good second chance at love story, and this is a great one. Jamie and Harry have a past together and when she returns to take care of her grandmother for three weeks, old feelings come to the surface.
I really liked seeing the characters from the first book and I'm looking forward to more books in this series.
I received a copy from the publisher via NetGalley and this is my honest opinion.
this book follows harry, who just found out her boyfriend is married, got fired, and has to go back to Hope to take care of her grandmother, since she’s having surgery. once she’s there, she reconnects with jamie, the guy she dated when before going to university.
harry has always been afraid of turning out like her mom, so she’s always on the move & never settling down, & he is scared of what she’s capable of doing to him, since she has already broke his heart.
this was a very cute, short, book and just what i needed to read. and there was a lot of “she/he feels like home” & i absolutely love when books have that.
if you are looking for something comforting, this is your book.
even though i’m not the biggest fan of 3rd person pov, this really worked for me, so that’s saying something.
thank you netgalley for the arc.
Back Home To You is the second book in this small town romance series. It follows Harry who returns back home for a short amount of time to take care of her grandmother, and Jamie who is a local chef that makes his living preparing food meal boxes for locals. Jamie and Harry start spending time together and rekindle an old flame. If you like quick, easy, sweet and small town romance, this is perfect for you.
This was a really sweet second chance romance. Sometimes I'm not the biggest fan of second chance romances. It depends on what broke them up in the past. But this couple had their reasons and (sort of) regretted it. IT is one of my pet peeves when they break up with the other "for their own good." But this was for the good of both of them, since they were both so young.
Harry frustrated me a lot. She was so scared she would become her mother that she didn't trust her own feelings. I think Jamie was very patient and put himself out there a lot and Harry didn't really do that. And she jumped to conclusions. But I guess they both had their own trust issues.
I enjoyed Michael and Sarah and might have to check out their story in Simply You.
Overall, was I frustrated with both the main characters? Yes. But was it still a cute read? Yes.
4/5 stars

QOTD: Can you cook?
My A: Yes! But I prefer not to because I’m lazy. I’m soo guilty of sticking a frozen pizza in the oven and calling it a night after work! You gotta do what you gotta do, but if you cook most meals, just know I think you’re a super human!

Summer has arrived and is already unbearably hot, which means plenty of time hiding indoors with the air conditioning and a good book! This cute and quick read was the perfect palate cleanser and the perfect companion to a day spent lounging on the couch. The romance was sweet and clean, great for any fan of sweet Hallmark-esque books and movies!

Harriet “Harry” Belmont feels like a total failure. Returning from San Francisco to England to care for her grandmother after being fired and discovering her boyfriend is married, she’s determined to turn a mess into something vaguely positive. But when her woeful cooking skills send her gran’s dinner up in smoke, the big-city refugee is stunned when the man who jumps to her rescue is a handsome old flame. Jamie Forrest’s love of culinary creations has come back to bite him. Though the small-town chef loves the meal-kit business he built to help others, it’s become so successful he no longer has time to spend in the kitchen. But his stress multiplies exponentially when the woman he saves from a food-prep disaster turns out to be his gorgeous childhood sweetheart. As Harriet’s forgotten feelings resurface, she’s torn between helping him open his dream restaurant and fleeing back to the life she promised she’d never sacrifice for a man. And though Jamie realizes he never got over her, he’s terrified that if he lets her in, she’ll just break his heart again. Can the reunited friends find a way to put love on the menu?
