I cant tell You how much i LOVED this book. It is second in the series but is a good stand alone.

Harriet was such a lovable and relatable character for me.. faced with major life changes and betrayal from a partner she goes home to be a caregiver for her Gran. Jaime also facing major changes and the uncertainty/instability that goes along with moving forward into a new chapter in life…

The characters were extremely lovable and well realized, i felt very attached and found myself smiling and feeling in awe in the sweet moments. In a word, you can say I was twitterpated.

“Back Home to You” by Maggie Wild
Book 2 in the Hope Valley series
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is the 2nd book in the series, but you can read it as a stand-alone. The main characters are different than the 1st! This is a short book at only 158 pages, but was perfect for a romance fix. I really enjoyed this and hope the author comes out with more books!
Harry is from Hope Valley, but currently lives in San Francisco. She doesn’t want to set down roots and turn out like her mother. When her gran needs a hip replacement and she loses her job she decided to head home for a few weeks and help.
Jamie owns his own fresh food meal kit business, but dreams of something more. He already had a failed restaurant and marriage under his belt, but he’s home from London and surrounded by people he loves.
When Harry comes back to town Jamie doesn’t know if it’s his worst nightmare or fate. She broke his heart once will it happen again?

Harry leaves her (falling apart) life in San Francisco to take care of her grandma in English countryside. There she is reunited with Jamie her first love whom she expected to be living his dream life in London.

Harry and Jamie are so cute together. He is truly one the kindest and most romantic guy I ve read about.

I guess we lacked information about what happened between Jamie and Alexis, but otherwise we could rely to the characters and their dilemma. I still really like the community of this little town.

Thank you to Netgalley for providing an eARC in exchange of an honest review.

Four and a half Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐1/2

Back Home to You by Maggie Wild is the second book in her Hope Valley series, although this book can easily be read as a stand-alone book. This delightful quick read is set in the idyllic Hope Valley.

Harriet (Harry) Belmont has just been fired from her job in San Francisco and has been dumped and betrayed by her boyfriend. Feeling like a failure, she returns to her home, Hope Valley, in Northern England, to tend to her Gran, who is scheduled for hip surgery. It’s perfect timing for Harry, as she’s between jobs, but she still feels like a failure having to come home without a job and alone.

Jaime Forrest has been back in Hope Valley for a few years after opening and running a successful and high-end restaurant in London. He returned and opened a meal delivery service in Hope Valley, but he misses the restaurant business and cooking for a living. However, after a disastrous relationship with his former partner in London, he won’t trust anyone again and is determined to make it on his own.

This book was well-paced and a quick satisfying read. The characters were well developed and I liked them all immediately. The quirky village characters added to the story and gave me some LOL moments. I have read the first book in the series and enjoyed re-visiting the characters from that book as well. This book is fun, satisfying, and joyful.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

A second chance romance for Harry and Jamie.
She broke his heart years ago, when they went their separate ways to achieve their dreams. Now they are both back in the same village where they met, but Harry only wants to be their for a visit, as she thinks moving back would be failing. Can Jamie convince her otherwise?
Great setting and to catch up with characters from the previous book.
