I didn't really like the narrator of this book, it was just ok to me, it wasn't too exciting. I could see this being a book somebody who wanted something very lighthearted and fun to read but to me it didn't have much depth.

I wish the author had stopped after the second book in this series. This book seemed very unnecessary. There wasn't much going on other than a run of the mill stay at home mom saga. I felt like I was reading someone's Facebook posts while they're bored at home.

I also didn't much care for the narration of this story.

Solid 4 stars!

Laurie Gelman does it again with her third (and final) book in the Class Mom series! Someone recently asked me about if this was a standalone book. While it definitely could be, as she does a great job of reviewing the characters and what happened in the past, I wouldn’t want the reader to miss out on the hilarious nature of the other two books, Class Mom and, You’ve Been Volunteered.

It’s Jen Dixon’s son’s last year at his elementary school, which means it’s also her last chance to volunteer. She has been tasked with raising $10,000 for iPads for the students. She comes up with a hilarious acronym for this fundraising group which sets the tone for all of the sarcastic remarks throughout. In this novel she is also helping out with her granddaughter, beginning a new spin instructor career and dealing with life’s typical yet tricky task of navigating life with elderly parents. It’s a fun and enjoyable ride!

I physically read the first two novels. This is the first audiobook I listened to in the series. It is narrated by the author herself. I am still torn on how I completely feel about this as at times, only she can express the sarcasm in its intended hilarity. However other times, I was left wanting more from an actor personality when it felt dry in tone/deliverance. All in all I would highly recommend for someone who is looking for an easy summer read about the joys of parenting.
Thanks to #NetGalley and #McMillanAudio for the chance to read and give an honest review.

Gellman's Class Mom and You've Been Volunteered characters return in another cheeky, breezy slice-of-suburban life tale. A fun read, great for when you don't want to dive into anything too heavy. This time the ending did seem a bit abrupt.

I was one of the lucky ones to have this one in audio form and let me tell you it had be laughing out loud as I was shopping (oh the stares of the Target and WalMart shoppers that day!). This is the last year for Jen Dixon to be the class mom of her son Ben and she also has the added task of fund raiser chairperson (cannot tell you the name if I want the review to be published) along with taking care of her family, aging parents, granddaughter, learning to be a spin instructor, and just trying to keep up with everything. WOW, I was tired just listening to her, but she managed and it was done with all the sarcasm and wit we have come to expect and love.

Cute story - love all the present-day references to TikTok :)

Jen is relatable and funny, and this simple, fun book is great for a quick, summer read. As an avid spin fan (and lover of my Peloton), it was a fun story to hear about how Jen takes on her next chapter as a spin instructor.

I have not read the other Class Mom series books, but I do want to go back now and listen to the others.

This is a perfect, fluggy light hearted read if you need to unplug for a minute and get lost in the...comical parts of PTA life.

If you need a laugh out loud, light read, and who doesn't at times, this is it!

Synopsis:
“Jen Dixon of Overland Park, Kansas—fearless mother of a fifth-grade boy and two thirty-something daughters—is used to juggling a lot, from her mission to become a spin instructor, to stepping in as the most acerbic class mom ever (again), to taking care of her two-year-old granddaughter. But when the PTA president throws her a mandate to raise $10,000 for the fifth-grade class, even unflappable Jen is going to need more than her regular spin class to get her through this final year at William Taft Elementary School.

In the midst of new complications—organizing the class overnight to Topeka, an unexpected spin class fan in the form of her husband’s crazy ex-wife, and trying to navigate her parents’ sudden descent into apparent delusions—Jen hardly has the patience to listen to yet another half-baked idea (come on, ladies, another wrapping paper sale?) from WeFUKCT (We Fundraise Until Kingdom Come Team), her fundraising committee. But if anyone can get elementary parents to pull off the impossible, it’s Jen Dixon.”

I listened to the audio for this one narrated by Laurie German herself and it was fabulous, so many little things that made me chuckle or laugh out loud but at the same time reflective in a wise and witty way of the pressures that we put on ourselves as moms or just women in general, I liked it a lot !

Thank you to @netgalley, @henryholt and @macmillanaudio for providing me with an advance audio in exchange for an honest review !

Quick, light, and humorous. I liked the characters. There were some storyline dead ends though. All in all it was a fun read.

This is a cute book that makes me want to go back to the start of the series to read it. I started this book because I though it would be a cute women's fiction book to get me into women's fiction. I love the charters mod being the cutes of them all. The story was good nothing to write home about but it kept me wanting to know more so maybe it more to me then I though. It's about a women living her own life with problems in her family which I can relate to some of it and others well I'm only 27 so I still have a lot to learn. I give it 4 out of 5 stars. Love this book and plan to read the last of the two other books in the series.

Author Laurie Gelman has found a formula that works and I am here for it. I love the sub-genre of parenting fiction, and her books always feel like having a conversation with a good friend...laughter mixed with relatable commentary on the trials and tribulations of parenting life.

I especially enjoyed Yoga Pant Nation on audiobook, as Gelman narrates the novel herself. She brings the characters to life, and it was thoroughly enjoyable. This was a quick and fun read and recommend it, especially if you have enjoyed her Class Mom novels previously.

Thank you to Macmillan Audio and Henry Holt & Co for my gifted copy.

Hilarious series that only gets better! Yoga Pant Nation is the 3rd book in the Class Mom series and the funniest by far. Jen Dixon is back in this story for Max's last year at William Taft Elementary, with drama a-plenty. Her parents are showing signs that they need long-term care, and there's a custody battle for her granddaughter that could result in her living out of the country.

I love the unfiltered humor in which Jen tackles life's problems. She has a genuinely kind heart, but her abrupt people skills often have to be taken with a grain of salt. I honestly wish there were more people in the world like her, and I'd LOVE to attend a PTA meeting with that kind of mom. Lots of family dynamics come into play with this book, taking you on a journey of laughter, emotions, and the genuine feel-good comedy that I've come to love from this series!

Yoga Pant Nation (Class Mom #3) by Laurie Gelman

Classmom, Jen Dixon is a mom of 3, grandma to 1, and a loving wife and daughter. This momma is taking on a lot. She is "voluntold" to be in charge of her son's school fundraising project for new tablets while also being the class mom dealing with all the 5th grade drama aka bullying/sex Ed/crazy parents. She is also dealing with the dramatic decline in her parents health while custody of her sweet granddaughter is being tested. Top it all off with the challenges of becoming a desired spin instructor. Can she do it all?

In my opinion, no. This novel while dealing with a lot of real life issues we all face as moms, daughters, and wives was a little too much for me. I loved Jen's sarcastic tones but she reminded me of that mom that just can't say no. This book was a little frazzled for my liking.

I also confess I listened to this novel as an audiobook through #netgalley and disliked the tone and texture of the narrator (the author herself). I found it difficult to fully appreciate this novel, lowering my rating. I think another voice would have been better suited.

Thank you to NetGalley, Macmillan Audio and the author for the early listen. Oh...My....Gosh!! I loved this book and the narrator. I didn't realize it was a series so I will definitely go back and listen to how Jen and her crew started. Loved all the characters! Found myself laughing out loud quite a bit with this story. Also found myself getting angry and flustered along with the Jen. Hope to see more in this series. I am hooked.

Laurie Gelman knocks it out of the park with a third installment of the 'Class Mom' series: "Yoga Pant Nation.

So many things are going on with our MC, Jen Dixon...which I appreciate the most. As a fellow class mom, it's never just ONE thing happening at once - it's Many Multiples. Not only are you dealing with your own kids (and their school) and husband (and his job) and aging parents (and their craziness), but you're also trying to find time for You and Your Career and Your Sanity. Gelman writes a (mostly) realistic rendition of what we are all doing in our day to day lives...but a LOT funnier.

As always, I cannot recommend this book enough and can't wait to see where Gelman takes our lovely, insane, and ridiculously funny Jen next.

A HUGE Thank You to NetGalley & Macmillan Audio for the opportunity to read and review this audiobook.

3.5 - The third (and final?) book in the Class mom series. In this book, Jenn's son Max is now in his final year of elementary school (Gr. 5). Jenn's life is filled with her ambition to be a spin class instructor, taking care of her 2 year old granddaughter part time and heading the fundraising committee for the end of the year class trip. Still full of Gelman's trademark mom humor and witty jokes. Anyone who has had to suffer through fundraising hell is going to appreciate this book a lot. A solid finale that is more about mid-life women's problems than younger mom's problems though I would say. If you enjoyed the first two books you will likely love this one too. Thanks to NetGalley and Macmillan audio for my advanced listening review copy.

The third book in this series is funny just like the others. I don’t find Jen particularly likable at times but she definitely has some funny moments all throughout the series. If you like the first two, you’ll love this one!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an electronic copy to listen to and review.

I have loved the two previous books in this series and was so pleased that this one was just as good! It is the last year for Jenn Dixon as a classmom and she is as snarky as ever! I loved it - a super great listen as it was read by the author.

“ ‘The PTA sent out a note saying we shouldn’t use the word ‘parents’ anymore.’ ‘Why not?’ ‘I guess not everyone is a parent.’ She shrugs. ‘They don’t want to offend anyone.’ In my mind I wonder just how far this PC thing is going to go before we all just give up talking.”

“I think it speaks volumes that I’d rather have my vagina scraped than break bread with my fellow class parents.” 😂😂

Jen Dixon, mother of two 30 something daughters and a 10 year old son, heads WeFUKCT (We Fundraise Until Kingdom Come Team), a committee created to help raise $10,000 for her son Max’s fifth grade class. Follow Jen as she navigates spin class, aging parents, her last year with a child in elementary school, and technology in this hilarious story of moms and comfy yoga pants.

Five fun, real and laugh out loud funny stars for this lighthearted look at what it’s like to have young children in this day and age! I always say that I could never have kids with the way things are today. I am a very laid back person and many moms today are just, so, ahem, 𝒅𝒊𝒇𝒇𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒕 than when my daughter was small. But, IF I did have young kids now, these women would be my people!! “Vivs has such crazy rules about what Maude can eat, and watch, and play with. It’s exhausting.” <—-proving my point right here 👏🏻

This book is the third installment in the Class Mom series, which I did not know going in. Despite not having read the first two I still LOVED it! *adds books 1 & 2 to cart*

The author narrates the audio and she is great! She had me legit laughing out loud multiple times, which I don’t typically do. Her tones and strategically placed sighs were spot on. I highly recommended the audio of this one!

Thank you to Netgalley, Henry Holt & Company, Macmillan Audio and the author for the ARC and ALC in exchange for an honest review.

Laurie Gelman does it again. In this third book of the Class Mom series, she combines humor, wit, and sarcasm with the day-to-day life of a mom who is trying to be it all. Jen Dixon is in her last year of being a room mom and is tasked with the ultimate volunteer job, the annual fundraiser. All this while helping take care of a granddaughter, building her budding career as a spin instructor, and coming to terms with aging parents that need more and more support. Maybe I am partial to Jennifer Dixon because we share the same first name, or maybe it is because, in my mind, I can tag every character in the book with a real mom I have intersected with. Either way, this is a 5 star read/listen for me and one I will recommend and gift often.

I love that Laurie narrated the book as I feel she brought a special allure to the story and had me laughing out loud within the first minutes of the story.

Thank you to NetGalley, Laurie Gelman, and Macmillan Audio for this advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

Jen Dixon - class mom, mother, grandmother and spin instructor has all the drama between her family, social, and school life! Jen is class parent for her sons fifth grade class, grandmother to her daughters two year old, has aging parents, is trying to raise 10k for the school fundraiser, and trying to get herself certified and teaching spin! This was a light, humorous, and fun read! I loved everything about this book and all the drama! This book had me smiling, laughing hard, and wondering what was going to happen next! This was my first in this series and it’s the third book and I absolutely loved it! I really want to check out books 1 and 2 in the series as well soon! If you’re looking for something light and fun for your beach bag, this one is it! I had the chance to read and listen to the audio for this one and both were excellent!
