I never get enough of the winter holiday reads. They are some of my favorites. And this one was no different
Jill Shalvis always writes amazing books. And this one was just one more to add to my list. It gave me all the things I wanted. And was sweet and romantic. And just perfect.

If you ever want to try some of Jill's Holiday Novellas, this is the perfect book to dive into. My favorite was One Snowy Night.

This was the perfect mix of Holiday and Heart. Rory Andrews needs to get home this Christmas. She has a lot to prove not only to her family but to herself. Now if she can only find a way to get through the next torturous hours of being in the small confines of a truck with the one guy who has ever made her feel something - Max Stranton.

Max has always been unattainable. The guy she wanted to be with but knew there was never a chance. So when he waltz back into her life years later, it was pure torture. But was she the only one suffering?

This Holiday Mix of Jill's Best Holiday stories (In my opinion) is a great introduction to Jill if you haven't read her before. She's a one-click author for me and I always look forward to her Holiday Novellas every year.

The tension between these two as they fight a storm to get home in time for Christmas is at time tense yet fun. I loved Rory and Max together. The only thing wrong with this story was that I just wanted more.

One Snowy Night (Heartbreaker Bay #2.5) by Jill Shalvis

So, this was a quickie ... in more ways than one lol. The story was short in length and so was the journey itself. IMO, it would have ended just as well and a bit more believable with a HFN ILY assumed than and actual ILY happening. However, because Rory and Max not only have known each other for quite some time, but they've been dancing around each other as well, the ILY didn't make my eye twitch too badly lol

This is a cute short story. There's not much else to say. Jill Shalvis wrote it, so of course it will be well written. As for plot and what not .. not too many surprises, just some heart-warmth and feels in all the right places.

A little advice with this series ... I wouldn't just pick up any book and start where you feel. I would start from the beginning and work my way forward. It's the best way to enjoy every detail of each character :)

Holiday Wishes (Heartbreaker Bay #4.5) by Jill Shalvis

Hmmmmmmmmmm …. What to say …. Well, it’s shorter than I expected. Maybe expected isn’t the correct word. Basically, in my opinion, it was a bit too short to stand on its own. If you’re going to enjoy it, like I did, you really have to read the rest of the series. Why? Because it brings together past characters and its length doesn’t quite allow for the right amount of exploration between our leads. It was enjoyable, but I’ve read the series, so for me, it was an outstanding long epilogue type of story. But if you’re starting out here with this series because you want to enjoy some holiday reads, it’s probably not going to be a good read for you.

All in all, the story was humorous and romantic with a dash of holiday spirit and a sprinkle of heart!

Mistletoe in Paradise (Wildstone #5.5) by Jill Shalvis
TBR → I’m not caught up with this series just yet, but as soon as I am I will update this review :)

Holiday Ever After is an anthology of three holiday romances written by Jill Shavis. Apparently, these novellas included characters from her previous stories. I was not aware of this when I read them and now that I do, I never felt like I was missing something. These stories were sweet and provided the perfect amount of holiday romance to set the mood.

The first story, One Snowy Night, involved Rory and Max who went to high school together but haven't seen each other in years. That is until Max moved to the same area and starts frequenting the grooming place where Rory works. As the holidays approach, Max learns that Rory is going back home for the first time in years and offers her a ride which she reluctantly accepts. The tension is thick between them due to events from the past and the more time they spend together, a different type of tension forms. This one is filled with a simmering chemistry, and once the two characters themselves to lower their walls an intense chemistry and connection is formed. I enjoyed the connection between them and was excited to see how it ended up.

Holiday Wishes involves Lottie and Sean, who had spent a special night together after years of friendship, and then abruptly went their separate ways. Ten years later their paths cross again when Sean and family are spending the night at Lottie's family inn for his brother's holiday wedding. At first, Lottie wants nothing to something Sean. He broke her heart but the more she sees him she realizes how much he has changed. The two of them have such a sweet connection and their romances has just the right amount of spice. I wanted this second chance romance to work and Lottie and Sean get their happily ever after.

Mistletoe in Paradise is another story involving two characters who had a special night and shortly after abruptly ended. James and Hannah grew up together and spent their holidays cruising the Carribean with their families. This is this first time both of them have been together on the cruise whip and both are still carrying the loss of Jame's brother with them. These characters are grown up but the connection is still stronger than ever. Being on a boat in close proximity forces them to finally face what happened between them. They do their best to ignore what is between them but it refuses to let go. These characters were so funny together- they knew exactly what buttons to push to drive each other crazy. I really enjoyed their connection and the way they supported each other as they figure out the next steps. Plus, the idea of spending the holiday in a boat is very appealing.

Holiday Ever After it filled with second chances and holiday romances from beginning to end. They are easy to read and hold on even pace through out. The chemistry and steadiness felt natural between all the characters. There's part of me that now wants to read the other books in the series so I can see where they are now. It you enjoy sweet holiday happily ever afters then this holiday anthology should put you in the perfect mood for the holidays.

As a huge fan of Jill Shalvis this felt like a holiday gift for me. Getting to read three novellas just in time for Christmas.

Shalvis has a way of drawing you in from the very start and all three novellas did just that. I loved all the characters.

In One Snowy Night, Rory and Max have a chance to finally fall in love like each of them wants to. They have a history, but each knows their love can make for a great future.

In Holiday Wishes Sean and Lotti were high school loves but when Lotti moved Sean broke her heart but now he gets a chance to make things right when they meet up a decade later and a snowstorm strands them at her family inn.

In Mistletoe in Paradise we get another second chance at romance story. James and Hannah were torn apart once but when their families decide to meet for Christmas in the Caribbean like they used to they get a chance to reconnect.

Each story is a great little Christmas package with a bright bow. You can not go wrong with Jill Shalvis and a Christmas story so the combination makes for a wonderful read.

The stories were just too much fantasy to really buy into. I couldn't get into the storylines so just really didn't enjoy them at all.

Loved this trio of Christmas novellas from Jill Shalvis! Love everything she writes. One of them I had read before, but two were completely new to me. Perfect for the holiday season!

This group of 3 short stories was just OK to me. I really wanted some holiday stories, and I feel like the holidays were mostly an afterthought in these. They also all really felt like the same story. I did like the middle story a lot, though.
