My thanks to NetGalley and publisher Avon Books UK for the ARC.

This story began with intrigue. Isla had finally been awarded her promotion at a financial company; she'd been dating the boss's son Zach for 3 months. Her best friend at the firm, Nicci, threw her a party but.........walking home early from the party Isla is attacked in the park - brutally - her head trauma meant she could remember nothing of that night. Zach moves in with her to support her and help her look forward instead of backwards, but.......gradually she regains her memories of that night - who is she a threat to - will they return to finish her off?

Who did it? Now, a recluse in her own home, having lost control of her life to Zach amidst her depression and fear, Isla feeds her obsession with true crime dramas, in fact, any crime dramas, especially from Christies Crime Addicts podcast. Until she finally plucks up the courage to seek their help.

Well, I'm afraid I don't agree with some reviews - I found some of the so-called intrigue actually very transparent as the story progresses. There are a couple of twists at the end but, for me, I wasn't "gripped" by the story. Sorry.

This intriguing, twisty starts with Isla being brutally mugged, traumatised and house bound. After she was mugged her boyfriend and work colleague Zach moved in and strange things happen!..

Isla struggles with few friends in Devon and only distant family in Scotland. Her memory of the mugging slowly returns and Zach may not be the man she really wanted?

As I said before there are many twists and, whilst I was not sure about the blogging, it all adds to a great story and excellent ending.

I have never read any of Ms Carrington's books before but she does write well and I will look for her others.

Thanks to Net Galley and Avon Books UK for the chance to read and review.

A powerful, page turner of a novel. Isla is attacked as she leaves a gathering in her honour, but who by and why ? I found it gripping with an impressive twist of an ending.

I never repeat the blurb. This had rather a slow start but got better as it went through but I'd not leap for something else by the same author. But too "twee" for me.

A really disturbing read which asks the question who can you really trust? Isla meets a guy and he may or may not be what he seems.
Lots of twists and turns to this book.
Completely enjoyable.
Another author to add to my "following" list and need to look up his previous books.

Thank you to Avon Books UK, NetGalley and the author for an ARC in return for an honest review.

I’d like to thank Avon Books UK and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read ‘The Couple On Maple Drive’ written by Sam Carrington in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

On her way home from a party to celebrate her promotion, Isla is the victim of a mugging and wakes up in hospital with a broken wrist, bruising and concussion. As she recovers at home she likes scrolling to the podcast of ‘Christie’s Crime Addicts’ and as the police don’t seem to be making any headway in finding her assailant she plucks up the courage to leave her settee and visit CCA to ask for their help.

‘The Couple On Maple Drive’ is an exciting and well-written thriller that’s had me hooked from page one. There’s an exciting plot that I’ve been gripped by and that gets more tense the further into the plot I get. Using the podcast is a clever way to tell the story from two angles, that of Jase helping Isla to discover the truth and then of the final outcome. Whereas Isla can think of a number of suspects who could be responsible which one, if any, is it? And as she’s survived the attack will there be another attempt on her life? This is a thriller with a plausible plot and a surprising ending, which I’ve thoroughly enjoyed.

I’ve read two other books by this author which I loved however this one was just ok for me. My main gripe was that I didn’t really click with main character Isla and was also not a fan of the other characters like her boyfriend Zach or best friend Nicci (which turned out to be accurate as both are shady).

The plot is intriguing and it’s a well-written story, it just didn’t particularly grab me. I enjoyed the chapters that were excerpts from the true crime podcast, they kept the story fresh and helped events fall into place. I really like Sam Carrington as an author and will continue to read her work but this book didn’t hold enough thrill or suspense for me.

This book had me hooked from the beginning. I loved the writing style. I loved the podcast aspect of it. I really didn't expect that. This is my first book by this author and I will be reading more.

Have you heard about the couple on Maple Drive? Isla barely leaves the house after her brutal mugging. Her boyfriend Zach moves in with her after the attack to look after her. But something else has happened now. Right on their doorstep. I don't want to say that someone is out to get her.... I just hope they find out the truth before it's too late.

After Isla was brutally attacked on her way home from a party. she had severe concussion and no real memory of what had happened to her. She is now fearful of being attacked again and confines herself in her house. Her new boyfriend Zach moves in with her. Isla becomes more and more paranoid.

The pace is slow to begin with and it's the second half before the pace picks up. The culprit is revealed earlier than expected. Isla listens to podcasts which are both helpful and harmful to her as she tries to piece together the events that took place on the night of her attack. The characters were interesting and the plotline intriguing, but there wasn't enough thrill or suspense for me.

I would like to thank #NetGalley #AvonBooksUK and the author #SamCarrington for my ARC of #TheCoupleOnMapleDrive in exchange for an honest review.

Wow! I have read previous books by this author and loved them and this one is no exception. Fast paced and impossible to put down, this story had me guessing until the very end. When Isla is brutally attacked on her way home from a party celebrating her big promotion at work, she is left terrified. Luckily her boyfriend offers to move in with her to help her recover and rest. As Isla begins healing she begins researching and investigating the crime that occurred against her and realizes the people closest to her may not be the ones she should trust. Excellent psychological thriller that should not be missed.

Firstly a big thank you to the publishers for my copy to review on netgalley. I have read all of Sams books so couldn’t wait to get stuck in .

I raced through this eager to find the truth…

This is a tense thriller and one that captivates your attention straight away .

Who attacked her? What is her boyfriend hiding ? Who can she trust anf will things ever be the same?

Claustrophobic and fast paced this makes for a gripping psychological thriller.

The Couple on Maple Drive
by Sam Carrington

Description
Have you heard about the couple on Maple Drive?
Isla barely leaves the house after her brutal mugging.

Her boyfriend Zach moved in with her after the attack. To look after her.

But something else has happened now. Right on their doorstep.

I don’t want to say that someone’s out to get her…

I just hope they find out the truth before it’s too late.

Or at least before the secrets, they’re hiding from each other surface.

Because those could be even deadlier…

Well, all the rave reviews, and I have to be one out about the story. Sorry, But it is my honest opinion for an advance copy. It was an ok book. It started and had some slow goings. I figured out the story and who did it halfway through. Some of the words had me asI am in the U.S.( my fault) I guess I will take the lower road on this one. But many thanks to NetGalley and Sam Carrington for a chance to read and review.

Isla was attacked. Was it random? Was she targeted? What's happening on Maple Drive?
A domestic mystery that for me was ok for a quick read.
Thank you NetGalley, the publisher and author for an arc of this book.

I read this in two sittings, it only wasn't one because real life got in the way. I wasn't overly keen on any of the characters, I found Isla's behaviour erratic but I enjoyed the story enough to keep me reading. I had my suspicions all the way through and I was right about some things, not all.
A great thriller, plenty of twists and turns and jumpy moments. A great read.

Firstly I would like to thank NetGalley and the publisher for my copy of the Ebook in exchange for my honest review.

This book kept me on the edge of my seat throughout, firstly as a thrilling who-dun-it and then as a BIG WHY???

The anxiety in this book was immense, you could feel it building from the beginning then exploding towards the end, the questions you wanted to ask some of the characters in this book filled your head and clouded your judgement. Until the shocking revelations lead you to take a moment to sit back and digest.

The characters in this book was incredibly well written even the ones you knew you should hate. They still had something about them that made you like them.

This is an incredible book to look out for this month.

I enjoyed this suspenseful story. This is an author that I have enjoyed from the first book I picked up by them. This is a well written story that brings twists and turns to a new level. They had me sitting on the edge of my seat just waiting to see what would happen next. The characters are connectable and truly brought the story to life for me. I enjoyed how they kept the story engaging and hard to put down. This is a story about a couple who live on Maple Drive. She was attacked and he moved in with her to protect her. What could happen next, right? What will they do when a situation happens on their doorstep? This is where the story really picks up on the suspense. There is great growth of the plot throughout the story. I really enjoyed this story and what the characters brought to it. I highly recommend this book.
