A lovely story of healing. There are as many ways to heal as there are hurts. Seth and Tia both need a break from all the noise of everyday life to finally come to terms with their, post hurt, lives. Well written and worth the time to read.

Tia left home to be a star in Hollywood and this have cause rift between her and her family who have a very strong belief in their religion. With her hard work, she finally got her break to stardom but all these changed when she involved in an accident that her face scarred and all she want is to hide from the world. Her producer offer her to stay at his guest house in Silver Spring. She thought she was alone until she met Seth Turner at the house.

Seth is a famous artist who return to Silver Spring to teach trouble teens in a school operated by his mum. Seth have his fair share of grief. He still carries the guilt and mourn for his wife. He also have to face her parent’s blame for her death.

With all the medias scouting around the house looking for news, the story continue with Tia being drawn to Seth, learning to deal and accept her scars. Both Tia and Seth helped each other to recover from their respective wounds and their newfound friendship begin to develop into something special that both of them least expect it to be.

Overall, it is touching romance story about two broken souls discovering the healing of power of love. Both Tia and Seth is so perfect for each other. This is the only book I read in 2021 that garnered a 5* rating.

Keep Me Warm at Christmas by Brenda Novak is the ninth book in the contemporary romance Silver Springs series. This series is one that like a lot of romance series out there it will change the main characters with each book with the setting being the common theme between the books. This means that the series can all be read as a standalone or in any order if choosing to do so. Keep Me Warm at Christmas also changes the point of view between the two main characters to tell the story inside. There is just something about Christmas stories that brings out the best in you. They make you smile and the feeling of warmth and family wraps you up and cocoons you. Novak is just the author to bring that feel-good story to the masses. These two characters were so perfect for each other. I love how they balanced out their hurts and pains, then developed a beautiful story together. Once Tia came out of her shell, the story took off. Seth was a sweetheart and so in-tune with her needs, even when she didn’t realize it. Novak brings in a bit of family time with some of the characters from Silver Spring that you may have read before. They are easily developed into the book and definitely not a requirement to read any prior books before this one. Keep Me Warm at Christmas is balanced just right with the romance angle and family ties to create a refreshing story that leaves us with a happy ending and a happy heart. I just wish that ending did not come so quickly! I needed more of their together time! Give us an epilogue, please!

Heartwarming and wholly satisfying!

Tia Beckett grew up with a very religious family that she didn’t fit into with her dreams of becoming a star. Tia left home at an early age and made it to Hollywood where after a lot of hard work Tia finally got her break. Just when Tia was at the top of her career she was involved in a car accident that has left her face scarred and Tia wanting to hide from the world.

Tia was offered a chance to stay in her producer’s guest house while he traveled in Silver Springs and she jumped at the chance. However, Tia was not expecting to have someone else staying on the property and was quite shocked when Seth Turner arrived. Seth could see Tia’s troubles from a mile away because he had shut himself off too after the death of his wife so he knows he needs to help Tia face her accident.

Keep Me Warm at Christmas by Brenda Novak was a lovely, heartwarming tale of second chances at life and healing for the characters. It was quite touching learning of both of their lives and peeking in on their relationship. I liked both immediately and was happy to see the small town charm that you find in this series. I, myself, joined the Silver Springs series late in the game after discovering Brenda Novak’s books so I can say first hand too that they read fine without having read the entire series. Each book contains a new couple and this installment along with a few others I’ve had the chance to read are just wonderful on their own but there is a glimpse at other characters each time for those that return which I definitely will continue to do!

I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley.

‘Keep Me Warm at Christmas’ by Brenda Novak had a bit of an abrupt ending, but overall, it was a tender, moving holiday read.

Brenda Novak has done it again! I love that she went back to Silver Springs, I loved seeing the main characters story unfold. As someone who has found the holidays hard to cope with it was a good read. It was a good book about a traumatic event and how sometimes relationships help you recover

This was probably one of my favourite stories in the series. It was a sexy seasonal read. Lots of heat and angst and drama and risk and romance - worked for me!

This was a cute novel, with lots of Christmas cheer, family, and a romance that was well done.
It did feel a little bit formulaic in some places, though, but I still enjoyed myself reading it.

In need of an escape after a near-fatal car accident left her face severely scarred, likely ending her career just as it was taking off, actress Tia Beckett accepted an offer to house-sit in the town of Silver Springs, 90 minutes outside of Los Angeles. She was expecting to be completely alone for the holidays, so she was shocked to find artist Seth Turner on the doorstep of the estate's guesthouse only a few days later. He'd been sent by the property's owner, their mutual friend Maxi, to pick up a key to the main house, where he'd be staying for the next few months while teaching a class at a nearby school founded by his adoptive mother. Still mourning the death of his wife, Shiloh, three years earlier, Seth had no intention of falling in love again, but he couldn't help feeling protective of Tia when he realized that she had no one else to look out for her. Surprised to find themselves growing closer, Tia and Seth spent Christmas together with his family, but would they be able to let go of their pasts in order to build a future together?

Seth and Tia were incredibly likeable and relatable protagonists, and I found it very easy to root for them both individually and as a couple. They had each been through more than their fair share of heartache and pain, but they grew stronger through their love and support for each other. While the story was emotional at times, it was heartwarming to see how much they changed and ultimately found new ways to be happy.

Overall, I very much enjoyed "Keep Me Warm at Christmas" and recommend it for all fans of emotional contemporary romance. I look forward to picking up more of Ms. Novak's books in the future.

I don't think I've previously read much Brenda Novak, which is clearly a mistake! I loved this book! I didn't realize when I requested it that it was the ninth in a series, but it does work as a standalone, which is nice. The relationship between the two main characters felt very real, and very... accurate if that makes sense. As a pet person, I loved Kiki so much, it was such a unique aspect to the story!

I really needed a book to get me thinking about the holidays in a good way and this was it!

Keep Me Warm at Christmas is part of Novak’s Silver Springs series, but it was great as a stand-alone for me!

I genuinely appreciated the characters in this book! Their hurts, their suffering, their fears offset the other’s in a fantastic way. Tia held onto her shell but once she let her guard down a bit, the story and their magic exploded from the pages. Novak does a fantastic job of blending romance, realistic struggles, and family drama in a way that kept me completely invested in the story!!

What a perfect holiday romance. Both main characters are dealing with a lot and not looking forward to the holidays. Not really hitting it off the first day they meet, that quickly changes. Knowing this series (which you do not have to have read in order to enjoy this book) and the character of Aiyana, I knew Seth couldn’t be as much of a jerk as he came off as when he first appears on page. Basically, in true romance fashion, the first meeting of Seth and Tia is a big misunderstanding with a dose of blinders from grief thrown into the mix.

While I wouldn’t say I felt fireworks and infernos from this couple, there was still chemistry. It was more understated with a really warm and comfortable feeling. I mean that in a good way. Seth and Tia fell into a friendship that developed into more quite quickly. They clicked and it worked for this story. Seth is an extremely empathetic person and it was obvious his actions toward Tia started off as a caring neighbor but fell into more as the two found how well they work together.

There are certain things that can happen in a romance where one of the characters had a significant other that passed away, and they aren’t always things I enjoy in the stories I read. Sometimes the SO was not a good person so the character is a bit timid about relationships, sometimes the character and the SO didn’t have passion but they had respect and love so the character feels guilt for moving on, sometimes the character is devastated but moves on after realizing the SO wouldn’t want them to be alone forever. There are other variations of course, but these are the main ones. I have issues with the first two, tending to enjoy the last option the best. The character will realize that it’s okay to love someone new and it doesn’t mean the relationship is better or worse, just different. The problem that arises with this scenario for me is how the characters talk about that lost love. For the most part, I got the impression that everyone in Seth’s life realized he will always love Shiloh, his late wife. They just wanted him to move on with his life and be happy again, not forget her. But there was a time or two where it was mentioned that he was “still loves” Shiloh like it was a bad thing. They had a great relationship; won’t he always love her? It bothers me to no end when it’s phrased in a way to imply a character shouldn’t love their dead SO. Okay, I’m done with this tangent, it’s just something that can annoy me in an otherwise wonderful story.

Tia and Seth both needed to learn to open their hearts, and they eventually do. It’s a touching story that gave me a warm feeling. It was beautiful to see them both grow so much and learn to trust again.

When starlet Tia Beckett needs to recover emotionally and physically from a near fatal car accident, she gladly accepts an invitation from her producer to house sit while he is out of town. Tia feels she is no longer who she was, and her outward scars are just as deep as her internal ones. She is happy to just escape Hollywood and the reporters and hide in a mansion with only a parrot for company. That is until an unexpected guest shows up at the house and makes Tia question everything in her life.

Seth Turner is an artist with painful past. He has promised his adoptive mother that he will come home to teach a few art classes at her school for troubled teens. What he does not expect is a whisp of a woman who is hiding from the world to show him how to love again.

This was such a sweet story of hope. Two people each hiding from the past with visible and invisible scars, hoping to find themselves once again amidst the pain. Although the story had its serious moments, it was lightened up with Seth’s family antics. I really enjoyed this novel and the depth of Brenda Novak’s writing style. I can not wait to visit the folks in Silver Springs again. Thank you so much Harlequin Publishing for an advanced readers copy of the book which I voluntarily read and reviewed.

4.5 Stars

Cold winter nights were made for curling up with Brenda Novak’s engrossing and emotional novels and in Keep Me Warm at Christmas, she once again delivers a heartfelt and poignant read I adored.

Tia Beckett’s Hollywood career was on the rise and she was poised for superstardom – until a near fatal accident put paid to all her hopes and dreams for the future. Left with a debilitating facial scar, center stage is the very last place Tia wants to be. Keen to avoid the unforgiving glare of the spotlight, Tia finds sanctuary at her producer’s secluded estate in Silver Springs. However, on her arrival in this charming part of the world, Tia is shocked when she realizes that she isn’t the only houseguest for the holidays…

Artist Seth Turner’s world had come crashing to a halt when he lost his beloved wife after a few years of marriage. His scars might not be visible, but they have certainly hardened his heart and made him determined to keep everyone else at bay and his emotions firmly under lock and key. Seth is not looking for love and he plans to lose himself in his philanthropy. He is spending a semester teaching disadvantaged youths at the New Horizons Boys Ranch and he does not plan on letting anybody breach the defenses around his heart – until he meets Tia Beckett…

Sparks quickly begin to fly between the two of them and a deep connection is immediately formed. With Christmas just around the corner, these two lost souls find themselves drawn to one another, but are they ready to take a chance on a happy ending? Or will their insecurities and fears end up costing them everything this holiday season?

It’s always a joy to read one of Brenda Novak’s books and to return to Silver Springs and in Keep Me Warm at Christmas, this much-loved reader favorite has written a magical, powerful and enthralling read about second chances, new beginnings and everlasting love that I was completely enchanted by.

Tia and Seth are two terrific characters I fell in love with. They both have their own baggage and they’ve both been hurt in the past, but their journey to their happy ever after is one that will leave readers with tears in their eyes and a great big smile on their face.

Heartwarming, uplifting and enjoyable, Brenda Novak has got another winner on her hands with her latest novel, Keep Me Warm at Christmas.

"Love, patience, understanding, friendship. We could all use more of those things, regardless of age."

This one definitely highly recommended.
It's so heartwarming like those hallmark tv shows.
Brenda Novak always gave us a loveable characters that I can't not root for their happy ending and add christmassy miracle in it, this one becomes a perfect for holiday read.
It's all about family, how to face your fears, except your flaws and how to move on and be happy, again it's just so heartwarming. It also has some suspense parts with paparazzo that put me on the edge of my seat and some heartbreaking moments that got me teary. This book is full of emotions and wonderful characters, therefore I adore this book.

The Review

I was immediately enthralled by this story. The unique characters of this story were the immediate hook of the narrative to be sure. A stunning actress who suffers a tragic accident and must deal with the physical and psychological scars not only of her accident but of her past as well. Meanwhile, a successful artist dealing with the shocking loss of his wife must contend with his art, teaching at his mother’s school, and the walls he’s put up over himself after his loss and the struggles of his childhood. The two of them coming together creates such stunning dynamics and a really engaging relationship that will draw the reader into the narrative easily.

The way the author incorporates themes of public perception, privacy, and the journey it takes to heal from the tragedy was so profoundly felt in this narrative. The integration of this emotional narrative into a holiday setting really felt natural and engaging as a reader and made the story fly by as the relationship between the protagonists grew stronger and stronger.

The Verdict

A memorable, entertaining, and heartfelt holiday romance, author Brenda Novak’s “Keep Me Warm at Christmas” is a must-read holiday novel to have this winter. The perfect next chapter in the author’s Silver Springs series of novels, the captivating cast of characters and shocking twists and turns some of the supporting cast takes the protagonists on really will have readers invested as the final pages play out.

Keep Me Warm at Christmas is the ninth book in the Silver Spring series. Despite this being the ninth book, it is a stand -alone. This story about healing set in the holiday season gave me all the feels.

This installment introduces Tia Beckett and Seth Turner. Tia is a Hollywood actress whose career  was cut short by a motor vehicle accident. An accident which left her with damaging facial scars. To get away from the relentless harassments of the paparazzi, she made a hasty retreat to her producer’s guest house in Silver Spring. However, little did she know that he also provided his friend Seth Turner access to the main house.

Seth is a famous artist who returned to Silver Spring for the holidays to teach art to the troubled teens at New Horizons, the school operated by his mom. Staying in the main house will also give him the chance to work on commissioned art work. Seth still mourns his wife, who died three years ago and since then he has no interest in intimacy. However, he never counted on meeting Tia.

I have been lucky to read  a few wonderful and heartwarming holiday stories. Keep Me Warm for Christmas is another one of those stories. It kept me glued to the paged as I followed Set and Tia on their journey towards healing and a happily ever after.

Seth and Tia were awesome characters, both as individuals and as a couple. Their initial meeting may not have gotten off to a good start. However, as the story progressed, their interactions became more amicable and slowly morphed from friendship to love. Seth, however, struggled with his feelings as he sees it as a betrayal to his wife. Also, his troubled past played a role in his struggles. To understand where he is coming from, you will need to read his story. Tia came a long way from the woman who shut herself off from the outside world after the terrible accident.

Seth has a good heart, which was shown not only with Tia and his family but also with his former in laws who, for the record, were not nice people. I especially loved his interactions with Tia. He made her see that her scars did not define her, and that beauty is more than physical. Also, the way he protected her from the intrusive actions of a particular paparazzo made me swoon.

The romance that developed was a tender and emotional. I kept hoping Seth would acknowledge his feelings and let go of the hurt from his past.

Keep Me Warm at Christmas was an interesting and poignant story about two broken souls who discovered the healing power of love. The story which flowed from the pages of this book will tug on your heartstrings.

Keep Me Warm at Christmas is book 9 in Brenda Novak's Silver Springs series, and while I haven't read them all, I've read enough to safely say you can read this as a standalone. But be prepared because it is emotional, probably one of the most emotional Christmas romances I've read this year. Part of that may be due to being able to relate so well with the characters, particularly Seth. Losing a spouse can be all-encompassing and for me, the holidays are the most emotional times of year. That said, I really enjoyed how Tia and Seth were so comforting to each other, offering just what the other needed. There is some trouble for this pair to deal with, but the time I reached the ending, I was getting just how full of the Christmas spirit the book is. The books I've read so far in this series have gone a long way toward worming this town into my heart, and once again, Brenda Novak doesn't disappoint.
