There is just something special happening every time I open a Nikki Hunt book. It is like time stands still, and I am in a magical place, and nothing can or will stop me from finishing the book. This time it is even better than ever, because we're about to get more answers. A man named Frost has been killing women, and now he has killed Nikki's good friend from back in the days. Nikki realizes that Frost is more than just a murderer. He murders to get her attention. Why and how can she stop it? Who is he, and why is Nikki his target?
The tension is growing, and Nikki is getting closer to Frost, but is that on purpose? So many questions to be answered, but Nikki seems to be running out of time. Frost starts to hit too close to home. It is getting creepier and creepier, but also more dangerous than ever.
I really like Nikki. She has had such a hard life, but working hard for the police she is coping. Sadly, hardships in her life are not over, and old wounds are wide open again. I love the way the small town opens up bit by bit to the reader, and how rich the character stories are. It feels like there is so much happening, so many stories, secrets, and people, but it all adds up, it's relatable and believable, and above all extremely entertaining. A fabulously entertaining story, fabulously written, and the greatest characters a reader can ask for. Mindblowingly good. I could not put it down, had to read it in one sitting. This is a series you have to read, otherwise you're missing out on too much. Loved the twists and turns in this book that nearly took my breath away!
Wow ! This is one of my favorite series and just when we think we know all about our badass FBI
Agent Nikki Hunt, we are thrown into more family secrets as she hunts down a serial killer. With a return to her and the people around her, we see relationships develop and grow! This was a fast paced awesome series and I am grateful to Stacy Green, NetGalley and Bookouture for the privilege to read this ARC in this amazing series!
Complex thriller revolves slowly then races to the finish. Agent Nikki Hunt begins to realise she is much more connected to Frost than she ever knew as she struggles to solve his crimes. A good read.
I love this series so much, this like the past 2 books caught me off guard and led me on a path of least unexpected. The things that happen in this book hit so hard and really really make you feel like you are there and know these people!
This was another fantastic chapter in the Nikki Hunt Series . Stacy Green does it again with a fast paced thriller . It is a real page turner and I stayed up far to late trying to finish it .
When Nikki and her team are called to a frozen dead body they soon realise that the serial killer she has been searching for has reappeared , when another girl goes missing who has ties to the first victim and they are in a race against time to find Frost , when clues start coming from Nikki's past she has to dig deep into her family to see what secrets are hidden . Brilliant 5 star read
My thanks to Bookoutre, Stacy Green and Netgalley.
For some odd reason I've ignored Stacy Greens previous books. That is about to change!
I loved this story! I loved that I didn't know who the guilty, murderous son of a gun was!
Best of all were the characters and the backstory.
I plan on reading more.
By far, the best in the series! Fast-paced, could not put down until I finished it.
Can't wait to see what's next for Nikki and for author Stacy Green. She quickly became one of must read authors.
Thank you #netgalley and #bookouture for another fantastic book by Stacy Green.
I think this was the best book out of the series so far. I liked that we finally learned who the Frost killer is and his motivation behind killing. This book opened a few side stories that I would like to know more about, but I think some will never be answered. This book actually surprised me, I didn’t see the one thing coming. I liked the pace and I like how it unravelled. I liked Nikki more in this book, although her daughter before FBI stance annoys me. I do hope the author doesn’t play up the whole all my family and friends get murdered, poor me trope for future books though.
Stacy Green is back with another fantastic story in the world of Special Agent Nikki Hunt. I am a HUGE fan of the Nikki Hunt series and I couldn't wait to dive into the third installment! It did not disappoint!! In Book 3 of the series, Nikki is still hunting the ever elusive serial killer Frost and they think they've found yet another one of his victims. Unfortunately the killer is now making things more personal for Nikki, as this victim is one she knows well. Is this a coincidence or was she targeted specifically because of her connection to Nikki?? What other buried secrets will she unearth as she continues her hunt of Frost? This is an amazingly well written, good paced story that keeps you captivated from the very beginning. If you're looking for a new detective series to get lost in, pick this one! You won't be disappointed!!
Nikki Hunt is back!!! This is the third installment in the Nikki Hunt series and yet again Stacy Green has written another excellent book in this series. This book in the series is about Nikki finally getting close to chasing the serial killer Frost . Will she finally catch him or once again does he disappear? I love when you start reading a series and the books are all thrilling books. The author has a way of just drawing you in from the very first pages that you can't help but not stay up all night reading. Nikki, Rory, Liam, Caitlin, Lacy and Tyler all great characters that I absolutely love reading about and lots of mystery and suspense. The PERFECT series!! If I could give 10 stars I would. Highly recommend this book and this series and I will be impatiently awaiting the next in the series. I promise you will not be disappointed.
Thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for an advanced readers copy in exchange for an honest review.
4 stars
Lost Angels is the third book featuring Special Agent Nikki Hunt. Nikki, Liam and Courtney continue to hunt for the serial killer Frost. When Nikki’s childhood bff is found murdered, she realizes the killer might be closer to her than she thinks.
I enjoyed books #1 and #2 more than this one but I really like this series and the characters.
What a ride! This is the 3rd book in the Detective Nikki Hunt series. Just stumbled on this series and while you don’t need to read the first two books in the series I would recommend as they do offer a good amount of back story. In this book, Nikki continues on the hunt for a serial killer who she has been looking for during novel. I enjoy the dynamic of Nikki and her team and the various other characters in this series. Can’t wait for the next one in this series!
When a body is found and there are signs that it’s the killer she’s been chasing for the last few years, Nikki Hunt is there in a flash.
As soon as she sees the body she realises she knows the victim and she is devastated. Nikki continues on with the investigation and stumbles upon a missing person, one she should’ve been made aware of as it’s the sister of one of the girls that the murderer killed. As she finds out more she realises her friend and the missing girl have things in common and it can’t be a coincidence, Frost has killed again and this time he’s made it personal!
After reading the previous Nikki Hunt books I was so excited to get the opportunity to read this through @netgalley. I absolutely loved the others and this one was equally as brilliant if not the best so far. The story once again follows FBI agent Nikki and during the other books there has been a background case she’s been working on and this book brings that story to the forefront and wow it was amazing. It’s full of twists and moments of suspense, it’s fast paced and I literally couldn’t read quick enough. Once again a great book from Stacy Green.
And the Frost killer is..... Ha no spoilers I promise.. But by the end of the book you will know.
The Frost killer has been a part of all 3 books. He has alluded the FBI all while continuing to kill a woman a year. His latest victim turns out to be FBI Agent Nikki Hunt's childhood bestfriend. She's a woman Nikki regretfully hasn't seen in 20 years since he left town after graduating. Nikki wanted no reminders the town or its people where her parents were brutally murdered.
Throughout the books in the series you've wondered if there is a connection of the Frost killer to Nikki. That is made very clear in this book. Nikki and her team dig deep into every murder and their connection to try and find out who the killer could be. Its a clue that is left in her friends bedroom that opens Pandora's box and a life time of secrets that put herself and her daughter and anyone close around her in danger.
This was a rollercoaster of emotions. From edge of your seat to high anxiety to devastation.
I absolutely love this series, Lost Angels by Stacy Green is the third book in the Nikki Hunt series. With each book we get to know more about Nikki, who is a FBI agent . Nikki is called out to a murder scene , where she is shocked to find out the victim was her best friend from her childhood. Her and her team think it is the work of a serial killer named Frost, who is mentioned in her previous books. Nikki is even more shocked when the killer starts leaving her clues, which hint that he has ties to Nikki’s family. This was a page turner that I couldn’t put down I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes a good thriller. Thanks to Netgalley for this advanced copy in exchange for my honest opinion.
A fast paced and thrilling read, book 3 shows no signs of letting up!
The Nikki Hunt series is such a great series. Really well written and engaging. These books are like hidden gems that you stumble upon and can’t quite believe everyone else hasn’t discovered them yet.
Quite unusually, the Nikki Hunt series starts with a new crime scene whereby a young woman is found dead in the snow. The scene is attended by Nikki and her team as she is the lead detective on the long standing Frost case. Whilst in book 1 and 2, Frost is mentioned, his case tends to take a back seat to the book’s main storyline. Not in book 3 though! In book 3 Frost rears his ugly head as he prepares for his ‘end game’.
If I didn’t already know that this book is part of a much bigger series, these three books could be seen as a trilogy. Finally in book 3, all loose ties are tidied up and sadly some are severed completely. This is exciting though, because going forward Nikki is now free of all of the elements and distractions that held her back on her pursuit of justice.
I love Stacey Green’s writing. Whilst the dialogue between her team could have a bit more banter. Her writing style is strong and so hard to put down!! If you haven’t tried the Nikki Hunt series yet and wondering if it’s for you I highly recommend that you give it a whirl. Whilst she has a massive back catalogue of novels, this series, I feel could be the one that launches Stacey into the lime light.
Thank you to NetGalley for my advance copy in exchange for my honest review.
Loved this latest book in the Nikki Hunt series. Unexpected turns, some good steps forward and great resolution of parts of the story! I can't wait to see what Nikki faces next!
I loved Greens two other books in the Nikki Hunt series and I knew this was going to be the same.
Stacy really knows how to keep her readers engaged! I have enjoyed reading these books they have been so interesting, intriguing, fun, and wild!.
The characters..... I just love Hunt she is determined. She's just a fun character.
The writing.... was great, the twists come thick and fast in the multi-layered book,
has all the essential ingredients of a truly amazing page-turner.
I enjoyed this book alot and I hope the series continues!
Great book….as I was reading Lost Angels, I really wish I had read the first two. Not because I needed them for clarity- this is great on its own. But because I would have really enjoyed them….how did I miss these???
Anyways, Nikki is an FBI agent hunting an elusive serial killer known as Frost. But Frost gets to close to home when he murders her childhood best friend, and keeps inching closer to Nikki. What is the connection?
Another winner for Stacy Green. This is probably my favorite Nikki Hunt book yet. So much going on. The action and the flow was great. Even though I figured out who Frost was and who he was to Nikki that by no means took away from this book. It was so good.
FBI agent Nikki Hunt is back again with a new case. Actually two cases. One being a woman found in the ice. The other a young girl missing and presumed to be a victim of Frost. The body found is Nikki's childhood best friend Annmarie. They have not seen each other or spoken in too many years. After Nikki's parents were brutally murder she closed herself off to everyone.
Nikki is racing against time now to save another possible victim of Frost's before it's too late. This time he is leaving too many clues. Is he messing up or setting a trap for Nikki? Has Frost always known Nikki and if so how? Why did he do all of these horrible things. Many questions that have come to light throughout this series. Many in this book alone and believe me all are answered. You will find out when and why. You'll want to know all and you will find it out.
Too many innocent victims to forget. In this one there was one point that made me literally catch my breath. I could not believe it. No him. Of all people why? Nikki has a hard job but she tackles it with all she has. With all the professionalism of any good FBI agent. There were some things that she did miss but look at where her mind was at. Her best friend a victim. A young lady who had already lost her sister to Frost. Worrying about saving this young lady. Worried about her own daughter. Was she putting Lacey in jeopardy?
This book has all the twists and turns and edge of your seat thrills you expect from Stacy Green. I loved everything about this book. She outdid herself again. I really look forward to her next Nikki installment. What will happen next? We will find out.
Thank you to #netgalley, #bookouture, #stacygreen for this ARC. This is my own true feelings.
5/5 huge stars for a job well done. I highly recommend this one.
