In the Introduction, the author explains that her PCOS diagnosis encouraged her to search for a diet that reduced inflammation. In Chapter One, the author lists several foods that can cause inflammation or allergic reactions. She then provides a list of essential ingredients and cooking essentials that she recommends in order to prepare the meals in this book.

The recipes are divided into nine categories: Breakfast, Dips Spreads and Snacks, Pasta and Grains, Poultry and Pork, Beef, Seafood, Meatless Meals and Sides, Beverages, and Desserts. Each section has many different recipes, most of which include pictures of the finished product. There are also “Pro tips” that the author adds, which give extra advice or information about the recipe.

To give you an idea of what kind of recipes are included, here is a list of the recipes for a couple of the sections:

Overall, this is a nice collection of recipes, most of which I hadn't seen before. Many of the recipes require some pretty exotic ingredients though, some of which might be harder to find or expensive. It seems like it might be difficult to plan an entire diet around these recipes, but there are a few I plan on trying out myself.

This is a helpful cookbook with stunning photos that explains the anti-inflammatory diet and provides creative and delicious recipes.

I have endometriosis and I was told an anti-inflammatory diet would help with some of the symptoms. (there is no cure for endo and this diet might not work for everyone please talk to your doctor first.). The recipes were easy to follow and the pictures helped. I will be getting a hard copy of this book very soon.

Such a beautiful and well thought out cookbook! As someone with food allergies this is perfect for me since it includes a key at the top of each recipe. New fun ideas without being overwhelming or overcomplicated. I will definitely be purchasing once this is released! Excited to add to my kitchen rotation!

This cookbook has great sounding recipes to try. Making changes to anti-inflammatory lifestyle requires a lot of work but these recipes are a great place to start.

This is the cookbook I didn't know I needed. The introduction explains inflammation, why it is important to reduce it, and what foods help fight it. Then the author explains key ingredients that are in the recipes like coconut aminos and nutritional yeast which is very helpful for people like me that haven't heard of them before. There's even a color coded key at the top of each recipe showing which ones are dairy free, gluten free, low carb, paleo, refined sugar free, vegan, or vegetarian. I love finding simple, delicious, and healthy recipes and will need to buy a copy of this book after it is published because there are so many recipes I want to make. Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for a temporary digital copy to use for my review.

As someone who has had success with an anti-inflammatory diet, I really enjoyed this book. It motivated me to get out of my current “I will eat a cupcake if I feel like it, dang it!” mentality and try to focus more on feeling better. As other reviews have mentioned, some unusual ingredients are called for but many, like maple sugar, sound like a better alternative to sugar to have on hand. The pictures and presentation are beautiful and I appreciate the focus on and awareness of chronic inflammation. I have not yet tried the recipes but they are not intimidating even for a beginner like myself. I also appreciate the flexibility of the recipes here if you are someone, like me, who has inflammation but can eat certain frowned-upon things like eggs. The pictures are beautiful abd this book makes healthy eating look and sound delicious!

I was interested in this cook book as I eat Gluten free, and do suffer with some of the ailments.

The book gives an overview of what chronic inflammation is and the symptoms that indicate you could be suffering; a few rang true with me, and so I will definitely be trying to eat the foods it recommends. The recipes split into sections; breakfast, dips spreads and snacks, pasta and grains, poultry and pork, beverages. The photographs are appetising and I inspire you to try the recipe.

Some of the ingredients I’ve not got in my store cupboard but would need to buy, and some of the nut ingredients as a severe nut allergy sufferer I would leave out or substitute with another ingredient. The recipes are suitable for the whole family not just people looking to reduce their inflammation.

Overall it’s a great recipe book and I will definitely be trying some of the recipes.

Lots of delicious-looking recipes here! The recipes use natural sugar-alternatives (maple syrup and coconut sugar, not sugar alcohols) and each emphasizes which is the anti-inflammatory ingredient-- helpful if you're looking to substitute problem/triggering foods. It's tough to eat anti-inflammatory+low-histamine+low-FODMAP!

I wrote down more recipes than I have from a single book in quite a while. They look tasty and simple (although many require soaking time, resting time, etc.-- I'm used to that by now, but readers new to this level of home cooking should be prepared to plan ahead).

The only thing that's distasteful is in the introduction, where the author explains that she received a diagnosis, and very quickly used anti-inflammatory eating to instantly "heal stubborn symptoms (not just PCOS, but headaches, joint pain, and more!)." This eating path is, like all these cookbooks, presented as an instant and complete treatment: "you're telling me I can reverse my symptoms and feel good again all while eating great-tasting food?" On my 3-fold eating plan, if I stick to it rigorously and if I ALSO take my 20 medications and supplements, I do feel better, but my symptoms are not "reversed"-- I still have to deal with them every day. It's hurtful to see book after book present a plan as a cure-all. It makes me feel like there must be something (else!) wrong with me if I'm not getting the same results. In actuality, good clean food does help a noticeable amount, and this type of diet is oversold in an attempt to make a buck.

Useful for people who can see the realistic limitations of this diet.

Molly Thompson is a food blogger posting on What Molly Made (whatmollymade.com). She shares healthy recipes along with her personal story. In this cookbook, Molly takes you through the anti-imflammatory diet and provides you with lists of foods that help with inflammation. Also included are foods that can contribute to inflammation.

In the following chapters are delicious recipes accompanied by lush photographs. Breakfast items like pancakes, lunch features chicken parm spaghetti squash casserole, seafood, meatless, drinks and desserts are included. If you struggle with inflammation and auto-immune issues, pick up this book and give the diet a try.

I got this book as I am interested in finding recipes which are both simple and healthy for reducing inflammation to aid health issues. .
The book was a joy to read. The recipes are all super easy to follow and beautifully photographed. I dont think there was any that I thought I wouldn't like to try!! I enjoyed the way the author wrote as well. It was down to earth and felt very friendly.

This is a great book on the topic of anti-inflammatory diets. It is filled with great recipes, many which I look forward to trying. The information about how different foods and ingredients affect the body is though provoking and provides more information to make choices in your diet. I also have a better sense of starting this and reintroducing some foods to really see which feel good and which just make you feel mehh.

Terrific, easy to follow recipes. You will not feel you are missing anything with the recipes in this diet. The pictures are gorgeous. Even the non-meat options are substantial and not just another salad recipe. There are even a few slow cooker & instant pot recipes too.

This book is very nice! I enjoyed all the recipes I tried, and my kids too!
I liked the brownie it was so good!!!
The only issue that I had with the recipes was some ingredients were not easy to find from where I live, and because of that I wish I can have some variant ingredients...
I really recommend this recipe book to people who are looking for anti-inflammatory live style.

This book provides recipes to reduce inflammation within your body. The author provides a very brief background on what is inflammation and which foods could help reduce it. This information is very basic and does not go much into detail on why or how. The information is just given as a fact with no scientific papers to back it.

Following this, the recipes are divided into Breakfast, Dips/Spreads/Snacks, Pasta/Grains, Poultry/Pork, Beef, Seafood, Meatless Meals, Beverages and Desserts. The recipes are nice but not very different to the kind you can get online for free. This book does not really stand out among 100s of others on similar topics.

It should be made clear even beyond the title that this book is *not* for the Anti-Inflammatory Protocol (AIP) and this version of the "anti-inflammatory diet" includes several potentially inflammatory ingredients including eggs, nightshades, and gluten-free grains.

It's a pretty standard collection of recipes you'll find on most food blogs. A good general book to grab if you've been instructed to begin an anti-inflammatory diet and for some reason don't want to fully do AIP. (Or perhaps if you've finished AIP and happen to have these exact reintroductions.) Hearing all the 'no's can be paralyzing at first so a book full of a good variety of foods can be useful.

The anti inflammatory diet is something that has been on my radar now for a couple of years. HOWEVER, I can't ever find any recipes that are actually appealing... Until now. This cookbook was amazing. I've made several of the recipes (buffalo chicken stuffed sweet potatoes, banana oatmeal, California Cobb salad, etc.) And they've all been outstanding. I feel healthier but I don't feel like I'm craving bad processed foods like I have in the past on this diet.

This cookbook is amazing! First I enjoyed what the author shared about her own journey and that she had PCOS and knew she had to do something to help herself and found that anti-inflammatory foods helped so much. I too have PCOS so this is so encouraging to me. She goes over the basics of the diet and what foods to include and what tools you will need in the kitchen. The recipes sound absolutely amazing and I love the pictures- everything looks so good! I can't wait to try some of these recipes, starting with the Double Chocolate Banana Blender Muffins.
