A nice book that will keep you interested in the tale as it continues.
The characters were a delight to read about and get to know; my favorite was Finn, who is so charming and, for such a tough guy, has a large heart and a lot of love to give.

I enjoyed the idea of this story but did not connect with the characters and the writing did not evoke emotion.

A good read that keeps you hooked on the story as it progresses.
The characters were very enjoyable to read and get to know, my favourite was Finn, he’s so adorable, and for a tough guy he’s got a big heart and loads of love to give.

The two main characters were interesting and Ethan was as much a mystery to me at the end as he was at the beginning, not sure if that was a good thing.

Olivia was a kind and sweet lady, no denying that.
But I felt somehow cheated that she gave in to Ethan, she can’t know him any better than I did, and I didn’t.
Yet she gave him her trust and love completely.
It didn’t work for me.

The overall story was very good but it lacked something, there was an end, but so much felt unfinished or disjointed, abandoned characters and storylines, especially from the friends, their reaction to certain occurrences towards the conclusion of the book, they were ignored.
This is why I’ve only given it
3 1/2 stars.

On the whole I’d say it’s worth a read and it a very promising first book from this author, one I would gladly read more from.

It was a fast paced and quick read that left me wanting more of Olivia and Ethan!
Loved this book from cover to cover.
The sexual tension. Olivia & Ethan was fabulous characters
The chemistry between these two is electric, sizzling with tension. Ethan has a very strong personality.
Which I simply adored!
The story was intriguing, engaging, entertaining. I was completely in awe, with Garners writing style!

Overall, I devoured this book! It was quick, evaporating, exciting!

This was a surprisingly gripping read from an author I've never read before, but be assured, I'll looking forward to new releases in the future! When I read the blurb I immediately became interested thinking it was a mafia read, but it's much more than that. I really enjoyed getting to know Ethan and Olivia when they met and the individuals they matured into as their journey unfolded. The secondary characters were extremely well written and without spoiling or ruining the plot, there is a storyline that runs parallel to the main plot that was thought-provoking and heartbreaking at times. When I connect with the secondary characters, like Finn and Geoffrey and Olivia's friends, as much as the two main characters, I know the writing and plot were very well done. This book has a little bit of everything -- mystery (tons of mystery!), suspense, danger (edge of your seat!) and romance. I'm very glad I had the chance to experience this author's writing. Wow! I'm pleasantly surprised how much I liked this book! I used to only read romance like for years ,not really going into any other genre but for the last year I've only been reading mystery thrillers, I'm really stuck on them lol but I figured I'd give this book a try?! I'm so glad I did! This book had a little bit of everything! There was suspense, drama, romance, and action packed! It definitely had some thrilling moments! I highly recommend reading this book! Its well worth reading! Its my first time reading this author and it definitely won't be my last! Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me!
