When Jeff and Becki Agar decide to have their first child they were told there were going to be some issues being that he was eleven weeks early. This child is Johnny Agar and along with his mother Becki are the author's of this book. When Johnny was diagnosed with cerebral palsy his parents did not want to have treated like he was affected with this problem as they wanted to him to figure things around his limitations. They worked on giving him all options from literally around the world to help strive what you might call a normal life. Jeff knowing that there were some limitations concerning sports and competing came up with away that they could do it together and this is how this story goes and continues in their life. The dedication this family has to make this happen is amazing. The only thing that maybe a tad frustrating his the timeline does jump back and forth. This is one ultimate stories in determination. When you finish this book and only after you finish reading it go to Youtube and look up this story.

Being diagnosed with cerebral palsy has not stopped Johnny Agar going after his dreams, and after a series of sporting endeavours, starting with his dad pushing him in an adapted buggy and moving on to being assisted around a triathlon by a team of people who were set up to do just this, he then decided to try to walk the last mile of a local 5k fundraiser for his church. The struggle, work and training he did for this are fully akin to that which elite and non-elite runners do and the book is bound to inspire.

Sometimes, a book is so personal, so moving and so inspirational, writing a review just seems a little crass.
I have nothing but the utmost respect for Johnny Agar and his family. The willingness to achieve, to better himself and to be a successful athlete is truly powerful. I was willing him along every step of the road and he is a total champion.
Thank you for sharing your story, it brought a lump to my throat and also made me smile on many occasions.
I urge you to read this book, this young man deserves all the publicity he can get.
Thanks to NetGalley and Dexterity for providing me with an Advance Reader's Copy in exchange for an honest, unbiased review.

I believe that the author has an amazing story to tell. This is not the book that tells it. He repeats himself frequently, which made me ask myself if I was reading the same page again. Superfluous details, such as the music his mom was listening to during a phone call added nothing to the story. I was really disappointed in this book and could not finish it. A good editor or a ghostwriter would have helped to bring his story together in an engaging, readable format. This was just not a good book.

A truly beautiful & inspiring story. As a physical therapist this book caught my eye right away. It follows Johnny through the challenges he has experienced while living with cerebral palsy. The impact of a loving and supportive family, keeping faith, hard work and preservereance are key factors in being successful. Highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone. Not only will this book inspire you but it will also change the way you think. 4.5 Stars

What an inspiring life to read about! Johnny Agar is a man to be admired for his determination and his positive view on life. Despite having cerebral palsy, his parents made every effort to treat Johnny like any other child and as a result, he grew up believing that he could do anything. The book details his interest in sport and his amazing success. Johnny has my greatest admiration.

Thank you for the opportunity to read this book.
