This is a fabulous book packed with all sorts of bodily facts. Some of these facts will shock you and others might even gross you out! I had alot of fun reading this book with my boys (ages 5 and 10).

The facts are entertaining and the illustrations are vibrant in color, together this melds well to create a book of knowledge kids will be eager to sit and read.

Great fact book for all ages about the human body that explains what the body is made up of and how it works. Perfect for the curious mind and aspiring doctors/nurses.

It has good tips like why you shouldn't swallow your gum, why a good night's sleep is important, and why you should use sunblock. The fact that the liver has 500 jobs! Amazing stuff. There's even a paranoid inducing section on body invaders that includes more worms than I care to think about.

I could have done without the term "dentist from hell" though in what is considered a child's book. It is written from an evolutionist standpoint versus a creationist standpoint.

This books is full of fun facts of weird and digusting things. Each part is told in a small chunk that students can flip through and find out what they want or read the whole entire book fairly quickly. A must have in a classroom.

A fact filled book about that will answer your questions about the body — possibly more than you want too! I didn’t want to know about maggots but then I am chicken when it comes to creepy things like that. I am positive young readers will be thrilled with the fun questions. There are statistics and the answers that kids will enjoy knowing and possibly tell their friends. The answers are interesting and fascinating for this adult. It’s illustrated with funny cartoons. This nonfiction book is a great read for all ages!

A great book for kids to provide explanations and random facts about all things related to the human body. I love the way the chapters are broken out and how easily digestible each tidbit of information is, usually just a couple of sentences. I can see kids expanding their knowledge base, and excitedly sharing it, all while thinking they are just having fun learning interesting things about the body. I would heartily recommend this for my own kids, their friends, and libraries.

As an adult I really enjoyed this book!

I loved the punchy style of the different facts and trivia that you learn as the book progressed.

I can see this being a massive hit with children, mainly those slightly older than my daughter but I know she will love this book when she is a little older as after watching You Tube the other night she declared that your lungs are part of your respiratory system and she is only 4 on the 11th July but she is fascinated with all things related to the body!

We have done a few of the facts so far and she wants to learn more and more so it will definitely be a hit with her and a fun way of learning – she is already asking about the smallest bone and smallest muscle after I read that section to her!

It is 5 stars from me for this one, I loved it and can easily see it being a firm favourite!

This book is so disgusting and made me cringe, even as an adult. Kids will love this book! There are so many gross facts about the human body, diseases, and different types of animals. I pre-ordered this for my classroom.

Why is Snot Sticky promises to regale children with gross scientific facts. I am all about helping children learn with the gross, weird, and funny facts of our world. I often use this strategy when teaching STEAM classes. However, what this book actually does it just list random trivia. Without any context or further information, the facts are not memorable. Written as just random facts, it isn't even a fun book to read. My young co-reviewers actually gave this book 1 star and asked that I stop reading it aloud.

This is such a fun book for kids, and informative too! I even learned a few things! I think this would be a great read aloud on long car rides, or to beat the heat during a heat wave (what I did!). This provided quite a bit of educational entertainment, and I definitely recommend it, if you can stomach it!
This would make a great gift for an older elementary school student!

I'm vacillating between two and a half and three stars on this one.

Hear me out. The reason for such a low rating, and not being sure if it should get two or three stars is that this is just a bunch of factoids. We learn that we shed skin throughout our lives. We learn that snot is sticking so that it can get gunk out of your nose. we learn that you have your best hearing at age 10. We learn all these little bits of information, these factoids, and that is it. We don't learn anything more.

While it is fun to learn weird facts, such as fingernails grow faster when you are older and the thinnest skin you have is in your eyelid.

My problem is that is all you learn. I love books that teach, and this only teaches trivia. There is no more information than that. And there are a lot of books that do just that, that teach you about the snot in your nose, and what it is composed of, and things like that.

So, no, I can't recommend this as being anything other than a bunch of facts. And if that is what you want from a kid's book, then go for it.
