This book was received as an ARC from Fox Chapel Publishing - Happy Fox Books in exchange for an honest review. Opinions and thoughts expressed in this review are completely my own.

I am so amazed by this book and the creativity that went along with it. All of the crafts are made with ordinary items and the kids will absolutely have fun with it. I also love the fact that they included the patterns and instructions along with photos of the final projects. I especially love the owls, elephant, zebra, and polar bear. I know those will definitely be popular with our young patrons for Storytime or other programs for children.

We will consider adding this title to our J Non-Fiction collection at our library. That is why we give this book 5 stars.

Helen Drew's "3D Paper Crafts for Kids" contains 26 creative projects for each letter of the alphabet. All of the crafts are very kid-friendly and require very simple materials; construction paper, scissors, glue, pipe cleaners, and of course: googly eyes. As a teacher and crafter I reallly appreciate the tips on organizing materials, as well as the easy to use templates included for each craft. Some of my personal favorites are the xylophone and hedgehog crafts. I think this book would be great for use with summer camps, after-school programs, and preschool-2nd grade classrooms.

This book has a project for each letter of the alphabet, for example the first project is a basket of Apples.

At the beginning of the book, simple steps show the building blocks to make objects 3D. Then the subsequent chapters incorporate these building blocks into the projects.

With covid and having children at home, this would be an excellent way to keep children occupied for a while. They would probably need some supervision (glue, scissors) and cutting shapes.

I reviewed a digital copy of the book (advance read copy), but the photographs were very well done and the templates at the back seemed easy to use. I bet you could put construction paper in your copier and print them easily.

Thank you to NetGalley, Helen Drew the author and Chapel Publishing (Happy Fox Books) for the opportunity to review this advance review copy in exchange for an honest review. Publication date is 4 Nov 2021.

3D Paper Crafts for Kids is a cute book of craft activities for children to do with a little support from a grown up in places. This book has some great ideas of things to make with paper and really easy, clear to follow instructions accompanied by bright, colourful photographs on each page.

3D Paper Crafts for Kids by Helen Drew is a good book for the youngest crafters. With lots of pictures and detailed simple instructions, it is perfect for young kids. My ten year old found it too simple and found it to not have enough ideas. This book would be great for beginning crafters. But it is way too easy for more experienced crafters. I received a digital copy of this book from the publisher with no obligations. These opinions are entirely my own.

Clear and informative instructions, easy techniques and some very clever ideas made this a little gem of a book. The projects were simple enough for a 4 and 6 year old to create with a little help with some of the techniques. The 3D aspect of the projects really made the artwork pop and were a clever element. The jellyfish was a favourite of my 4 year old and the 6 year old loved the giraffe. The templates in the back of the book were really handy and a great addition. This was a wonderful book while stuck in lockdown or even a rainy day activity with most materials staples in a craft cupboard.

3D PAPER CRAFTS FOR KIDS by HELEN DREW is the perfect craft inspiration for rainy days, birthday parties, or any other time. These kid crafts will keep young and old alike engaged and inspired for hours and hours.

Set up in alphabetical order, these crafts are easy enough for young children, yet inspiring enough for older crafters who can create the basic craft and then add their own unique touches.

The book contains large, bright photographs of the steps to follow to create each project. The instructions are clear and concise.

I absolutely love the owl craft and the melting snowman craft. I can't wait to share this book with friends and family.

Releasing on November 4th, I suggest picking up multiple copies to give as gifts. I will be buying multiple copies to have on hand to give as birthday gifts. This is a much better present than a toy that will be played with for a few days and then forgotten. This book offers days and days of fun.

Christmas is coming and there is nothing better than spending time crafting with your children. After the kids make the crafts, they can give their creations as Christmas gifts for family and friends.

I rate this book as 5 OUT OF 5 STARS ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
