Love reading this series because the author usually mentions books and authors which I am not familiar.

Lindsey and her crew are working hard to see that their town will have a new mayor, but someone has other ideas when a dead body turns our to be "the Lemons" ex boyfriend. Fast moving and a fun read.

Another fun entry in the series. I love spending time with Lindsey and friends. Even Ms. Cole is growing on me.

In book 12 of A Library Lover's Mystery series, favorite librarian Lindsey Norris finds herself entangled in another murder mystery. Ms Cole, Lindsey's co-worker, is running for mayor when a dead body shows up in her car. Rumors spread about Ms Cole's past and it's up to Lindsey to figure out who the real murderer is before Election Day. This light humorous series is always a fun read and the newest book in the series doesn't disappoint.

Great series from Jenn McKinley and I enjoyed it very much. Looking forward to the next book in the series and catching up on all the news from Briar Creek.

Lindsay and Sully were married in the last book, but in this one there is no mention of a honeymoon, and there is very little newlywed interactions. Instead, the story focuses on librarian Ms. Cole, who is running for mayor. When a man turns up dead in her car's trunk and she falls under suspicion, her campaign is in jeopardy. Lindsay is able to figure out who did what in time. It is a good mystery, and I love the small-town atmosphere, but I still wanted to enjoy the newlyweds. Thanks to NetGalley and Berkley for providing an ARC.

Another good offering in this series. We have Lindsey and Sully settled in to married life and no drama there. No, the drama at the library (of course!). A body in a car on library property? Ms. Cole running for mayor - and it's her car? Yes, all true and all needing sorted out. The Crafternoon group steps up to help because they really do need Ms. Cole as mayor. Nasty politics get involved but no worries, Lindsey is on the case and sorts things out. An enjoyable read in a fun series..

It's spring in the small town of Briar Creek and the upcoming mayoral election is heating up. When Ms. Cole, librarian and candidate for mayor finds a dead body in her trunk Ms. Cole isn't sure she'll be able to continue to run.
Lindsay, of course, can't let Ms. Cole get railroaded into a murder charge so she begins investigating. The murder victim was Ms. Cole's fiancé from 40 years ago, but that's not the only tie he has to Briar Creek.
I really feel the characters have come into their own. They are likable and well developed. There's always room to grow and change, but I no longer feel like the supporting characters are just props for Lindsay. The relationship between Lindsay and Emma is a great part of the book. Instead of being at odds, the Librarian and the Police Chief are willing to work together, of course, with the help of Robbie and even Sully, Lindsay's new husband. The mystery is well done and keeps you guessing until the end.

The newest title in one of my favorite cozy mystery series did not disappoint. With Lindsay and Sully now married, there's more focus on the mystery aspect of the storyline, this time a plot involving the body of a mysterious stranger found in the trunk of librarian Ms. Cole's car. Is she really a murderer, or is someone trying to frame her---maybe the town's current mayor, who is running a mud-slinging election campaign against Ms. Cole? There did seem to be less involvement from the Crafternooners, but it was good to get to know Ms. Cole's character a little better, and as a librarian I'm always up for a fun library-centered whodunnit.

Thank you to NetGalley for providing an ARC of this book.

This is a wonderful addition to the series. Lindsey, now married to Sully, investigates when Ms. Cole (the crabby library staff member) is accused of murder. We learn more about Ms. Cole as this interesting mystery unfolds. Readers of this series will truly enjoy this title, and new readers can pick up without having to read prior books in the series. Great cozy!

This is by far one my most favorite series to read, and I will read anything by Jenn McKinlay. Lindsey and the gang are back, and this time Ms. Cole is in trouble, The story line was wonderful, and the banter was charming. Not to mention the craft and recipes at the end of the book. I can't wait to see what happens in the future for Lindsey, Sully, Ms.Cole, and Beth.

I really enjoyed this latest addition to the Library Lovers series by Jenn McKinlay. She never fails to catch my interest and entertain me. In this latest addition, Lindsay has to figure out the mystery of the dead man in her colleague's car before the election for mayor. Ms Cole, the curmudgeonly librarian who follows all the rules, is running for mayor of Briar Creek. A former boyfriend is found dead in her car in the library staff parking lot and Ms Cole is a suspect in the murder. But so are the current mayor, the dead man's former partner, and a few others. Lindsay fully supports Ms Cole's bid for mayor so she is determined to solve the case.

The character development of the main characters throughout the series has been excellent. Ms. Cole especially stands out. She has gone from a caricature of a mean librarian to a warm, caring, intelligent woman who actually likes people and gets along well in the community. She has excellent ideas for improving the town and has the support of most of the population over the current mayor who is not well liked. The other characters have also developed throughout the series and I enjoy seeing them mature. Working in a library, I especially enjoy how the author accurately pictures what goes on daily in a library.

This is an entertaining read with some great themes, especially the "don't judge a book (or a person) by it's cover" one. Jenn McKinlay has written another great addition to the cozy mystery genre.

We start off with the amazing crafternoon group. Ms. Cole also has a bit of a rocky start to her mayoral campaign when she goes to get some vote Cole signs out of her car and finds a dead body instead. Lindsey and group must help clear Ms. Cole's name before she is arrested for a crime she did not commit. Add in the current mayor stirring up trouble and spreading lies, anonymous threats and secrets. Will Lindsey find the real killer before it is too late? Wonderful book with amazing relatable characters and a story line that will keep you riveted to the very last page. I highly recommend this book and the series as a whole.

The Library Lover’s series was the series that got me into cozy, for which I owe a debt of gratitude to Jenn McKinlay. While it is no longer my very favorite cozy series, it holds a special place in my heart, and McKinnlay continues to write fun, captivating stories. The cast of characters is lovable, and with Sully and Lindsey now married, there is very little interpersonal drama or suspense, which allows for more focus on the mystery at hand.
