Cooking+witty banter=love! I loved the cooking element to this book, it even had me wanting to make homemade gnocchi! I loved the banter between Reese and Benny, it was constant and natural sounding and didn’t seemed forced in any way. I also loved how they addressed the issues that faced being public on social media and the issues women face in both realms. I also loved some of the food puns, they were *chefs kiss*

This was a fun book and I really like the fast pace of it and the character development is definitely one I will probably add to my personal library

I usually like most books that revolve around romance and food and this one didn't disappoint. It made me laugh out loud several times and Benny is one of my new book boyfriends. He had witty dialogue and the type of banter that makes for a good rivals to lovers story. Very satisfying romance & ending.

This book has a super sweet, positive message about women being treated equally and fairly in the workplace. However, the execution becomes preachy about halfway through the book, and it almost takes away from the romance and the other things this book has to offer. I can't say I didn't like this one. Our main character is cute and the romance between her and Benny is entertaining to read. The rest of the book is flat, though, and this isn't a title that will stick with me.

I was really excited for this one since books about cooking are among my absolute favourites to read, and the premise sounds so cute. However, the dialogue feels very outdated and childish, which makes the humour fall flat. I also have some issues with the main character’s “feminism.” There’s a (usually off-topic) feminist comment on practically every other page, which makes it feel almost insincere. I will say that there are some moments when Reese calls out sexism in her workplace which I appreciated, but for the most part, feminism is reduced to remarks like “Why is he so pure and beautiful? Be still, my nontoxic-masculinity-starved heart.” Unfortunately, I’m not interested enough to continue reading this one.

Really fun setting, context, and story! I wasn't overly invested in the book, but there is for sure an audience I believe would love this story.

I was a bit disappointed by this book. For most of the book I had a hard time connecting with Reese and finding her likable. She felt whiny for most of it. I did like the turn of events in the last 15% of the book. I think it would have benefitted from a dual POV.

I really enjoyed this one! Even though it's technically YA because of their ages, it did not feel like a typical angst ridden YA romance and I thought the characters were pretty mature and likeable. I shouldn't have read this while dieting for summer because the food was torturous and sounded delicious. The banter was a little cheesy in a good way and I think this could be a great film adaptation. Light abs sparkly with a dash of deeper topics made for a wonderful read!

This book was so fun to read, a simple romantic comedy that had me grinning then entire way through. Not a very complex story line, with the typical enemies to lovers style.

This book was so cute! I love baking romances, and this one was absolutely perfect. If you're a fan of Great British Bake-Off, this book is a must-read for your TBR!

Ok, so I had a hard time liking this book at first. It was pretty heavy handed and kind of hard to trek through.

But as it went by, I started to enjoy the banter, the puns, the love, and even the message. I know this was all meant to be about feminism and the way women are treated, which is important. It just felt like it was smashing me over the head at first. Not to mention Reese’s pain had me thinking she just hated all men… but when we see WHY she felt that way, and her past, and then the trauma compounded at the meet and greet, it became intense and real pretty quickly. I’m glad I stuck with it. 🙃

Not to mention Benny is so supportive and kind. And has amazing puns. 😍 Anyway, fun read!

Love from Scratch finds Southern belle Reese Camden working as a summer marketing intern for "Friends of Flavor," an online food-lovers channel. She is hoping for a job with the company when the internship ends. Her main competition for the job is Benny Beneventi, the culinary intern. When their bosses pair Benny and Reese for a spot on "Piece of Cake: Amateur Hour," their episode goes viral. Benny, whose family owns a restaurant, is the better chef, but Reese's antics as his sidekick charm viewers who beg for more episodes. The company gives them their own show and sparks fly. Benny falls for Reese, but she resists his flirting, knowing they are competitors and she is unlucky in love. The "will they or won't they" romance is paired with Reese's feminist commentary on the sexism in the food world for a fun informative read.

Oh wow this book actually surprised me. Very cute and very cheesy. Nice palate cleanser. But I did not see a wow factor.

Love from Scratch is perfect for anyone who loves to read about Bakers and Bakers being in love. This is a fun, lighthearted rom com feel kind of book.

I wanted to like this book more than I did. The book felt disjointed. Is the book a fun and flirty romance, or is it a serious feminist commentary about toxic corporate culture? The author appeared to want the book to be both, but it didn't work. Also, the book's overall message of a young woman knowing her worth is important, but the book felt heavy-handed. I didn't feel like I was reading a story as much as I felt like I was being lectured. However, the hardest part of the book, for me, was Reese. She never felt real to me, and her behaviors constantly contradicted her beliefs. There were parts of this book that were fine, but overall it did not work for me.

This book was ADORABLE! I loved how it not only was a cute and cheesy romcom, but it also talked about tough topics like gender discrimination, mental health, and how to overcome negativity. I felt so connected to Reese, and loved how supportive Benny was to her. It was such a great book that I’ll definitely recommend to others.

This was an adorable and fun read. I am always in for a good enemies to lovers trope especially one that also involves baking. Reese and Benny’s banter will make you smile throughout. Even though the book is a rom-com it also addresses issues regarding double standards and online bullying.

This book was an excellent debut by Kaitlyn Hill and I look forward to her next.

I want to thank NetGalley, Kaitlyn Hill and Random House Children's, Delacorte Press for the e-ARC of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are honest, my own and left voluntarily.

This was a fun baking inspired romcom. Reese and Benny were both such cute characters I loved. They there were also great conversations involved around double standards. All of the food references were great and I was so inspired to bake!

Oh, I love a good enemies-to-lovers story and Love from Scratch hit the spot!

Reese and Benny are *chef's kiss*! The banter between these two had me squealing quite often. I always enjoy a good romance book involving cooking or baking or any kinds of food and this book was no exception. This story was a light, sweet, quick read and I had a blast reading it!

Thanks to NetGalley, Random House Children’s, and PRHA for the early copy. All opinions are my own.

Love from Scratch was a fun read for me. I love to read anything regarding to enemies to lovers. This takes place in Seattle. Seattle is an amazing city and it holds a special place in my heart. I loved Benny and Reese relationship. Both characters are interns in a food network television station. Benny is more popular and slightly talented than Reese. They are both blindly thrown together to host a cooking show and that’s where the rivalry takes place. I loved both characters a lot and I did enjoy the romance. I am thankful I was able to receive an early copy. Thank you NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read an amazing story. I would literally read anything Kaitlyn Hill publishes in the future.
