This was a cute easy mafia romance to read.
The characters were both relatable and likeable although without much depth.
I feel like this book maybe even this series is a perfect introduction to Mafia romance for anyone.
Fun, cute and with some steamy scenes.
Overall a good book.
I love Jill's books and this one was a great addition to the Five Families series. I absolutely love getting into the heads of the characters and feeling like I really know them.
I previously read Giada's story, and it's safe to say Valentina is just as kickass as her older sister. She was spunky, feisty and fiercely indepent, just the way I like it! Her and Kane are utter perfection.
At first I didn't like the chapters from Reyna and Santino but I started rooting for them by the end anyway!
This is a standalone set in the mafia world from previous books. I have not read the previous books in the series and I didn't feel like I had to in order to enjoy this book. I'm sure having read them would have provided more of a backstory, but I really didn't feel like I was missing anything.
This book is a New Adult romance, so the characters are younger. I know that this is not for everyone, but I love New Adult books like these.
This story was an interesting concept because you get the love story between Kane and Valentina but there's also a side story with Reyna and Santino. This one is a unique mix of figuring out exactly who you are, while erasing the preconceived notions you have of others.
If New Adult mafia romance is something you enjoy, this book is for you.
Perfect Enemies was an angsty suspenseful tale filled with sizzling chemistry and I was hooked until the end. Inspite of the younger ages of the characters, you still get the mafia vibe as the author delivered when it came to action and danger. The story was filled with lies and deceit, secrets and shocking twists and I loved that we got two romance unfolding amidst it all. This enemies to lovers tale was a well written slow burn and you will be fully invested in these characters. The author gave us 4 POV which added to the thrill factor of the story. This is the 6th and final book in the Five Families series and while each book kept getting better and better I'm sad to see it end. I cant wait to see what this author has up her sleeves for us in the future. This was a great read and I would highly recommend it.
Loved it. A high school romance where enemies push and shove until Val and Kane go over the edge into romance. A novel way of looking at romance and our couple - Val is in high school and there is a bit of the forbidden romance thrown in. The high school angle is ignored as the passion between our couple explodes and the book lives up to the rest of the series.
Valentina was part of a mob family and knew who she was. She wanted to protect her best friend Reyna at all cost. While we learned about each mob family we also learned about who was trying to get more information about them in a different way. Valentina and Kane should’ve not been together but they were very much drawn together. While their love story was the main story, Reyna’s and Santino’s was just as lovely. As the story and premise to this was very entertaining, the beginning and middle of this book unfortunately dragged out for me. I would Definitely give this author another chance because I really enjoyed the characters.

Review Perfect Enemies us book six in the Five Families series and is Valentina and Kane's book. I absolutely loved this book. Usually these books take me two days to read but not this one. This book had me sucked in from the beginning. The most interesting thing about this book is that you get the POV of everyone involved in this story and not just the main characters. Jill Ramsower us one of my favorite go-to authors a a I can't wait to see what's next from her
Great Mafia Romeo and Juliet the story was interesting great writing and addition to the series. I enjoyed reading. this series.

Netgalley introduced me to this author and series ! All great reads ! I highly recommend Perfect Enemies , this series and author !
Thank you NetGally for providing me with an ARC in exchange for my honest review!
The book’s summary caught my eye since I’m a huge fan of the enemies to lovers trope. I would like to preface this review by saying that I didn’t read any of the previous books in the series, but that did not impact my understanding of the novel at all. I enjoyed the whole dynamic between Kane and Valentina, and their development was realistic and enjoyable to read about. Their chemistry was SO juicy, and the tension between them was insane. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the side plot involving Reina’s romance, and felt as if the book could do without it. I unfortunately found myself skimming over her chapters since I didn’t find her romance interesting. I liked her better as a side character, but her storyline was interesting nonetheless. The plot was fantastic, the characters were likable, and overall this book was deserving of 4 stars.
Let me say, what I loved a lot about this story was how protective Val was of her bff! High school is tough enough!
Kane, my goodness, he was the alpha bully you wanted to bully yourself! As with many books in this trope, Kane will come around and redeem himself! Yeah!
Ms. Ramsower really is a master of her craft, as I keep coming back for story after story! I spend many hours thoroughly entertained by this amazing author!
Thank you!
What a ride!!
This is book 6 and the final book in the 5 families series and while I didn’t read all the book’s in the series, I had no trouble following or enjoying this story!
That said, this read was an exciting and thrilling story with a little bit of everything!
Slow burn✅
Enemies to lovers✅
High school/Mafia romance✅
Who knew all these ingredients could all work together…and they did…flawlessly!
Add the 4 POV and it added to the entertainment and thrilling factor of this story.
Not too deep and darkish for a mafia romance, this book just a great lazy day read!
4.5 stars!
Perfect Enemies is a thrilling ride! From start to finish you don’t know who to trust and where alliances lie!
This book was exciting and had me on edge the whole book! I loved the push and pull between Kane and Valentina! Their chemistry was off the charts but you knew there were secrets being kept and WOW you will be blown away when all is revealed!
This is my first book by this author and now I’m intrigued about this world and want to go back and read the rest of the books! I can assure that you will enjoy this book without having read any of the others!
Perfect Enemies by Jill Ramsower is book 6 in The Five Families Series. This is the story of Valentina 'Val' and Kane. I have read the previous books which added to my enjoyment of this one but I did feel you could make it a standalone book if you wish to do so. Val and her best friend Reyna should be enemies due to who their family are. But they are instead best friends and Val wants to protect Reyna as much as she can from Reyna's evil father. So when the new guy Kane shows up and starts questioning Reyna of course Val and him start to butt heads. I have been crazy about this series and I believe this is the last book in it but I will be looking for more books by this author.
Great read! I enjoyed all the characters and storyline. Intense connection and chemistry between Kane and Val. Definitely kept my interest throughout.
Whoo hoo, when I saw the cover of the last part of The Five Families series, I had to request it of course. Because after Giada (Impossible odds) and Camilla (Absolute silence) the last Genovese sister would get her own story.
Although Valentina is only seventeen years old, she is a proper Genovese badass girl. At Xavier High, she has taken Reyna under her wing, who was bullied by the other high school kids. But true Romeo and Juliet style: Reyna is the daughter of Vargas, the drug cartel leader and enemy of Val's mafia father.
So Val and Reyna keep their friendship hidden. When a new hot guy arrives on the scene, Val feels the need to protect Reyna from his avances. Whenever Kane tries to talk to Reyna, the irritating-but gorgeous- pitbull Val is there. There are sparks flying everywhere, but Val seems to hate his guts. Val doesn't know what to think of the mysterious bad boy Kane. Is he hitting on Reyna? Then why does it feels like Kane is flirting with her? Or could he be sent by Reyna's cruel father to keep an eye on her? In any case: Val doesn't want him near Reyna. And Kane can't take a hint. Hilarious banter, twists and turns and sparks are flying. As always with Jill Ram so wer e a total awesome read.
Knowing this was the final part of the Five Families series, the last chapter with Connor kinda confused me. Or maybe this will be the start of a spin-off series? Let's hope so! Five out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley fo providing the arc.
I just finished reading this unexpected amazing book! Everything was perfect and literally I gasped at almost all the chapters at the end.
Kane isn't your typical possessive alpha male, he is everything Valentina needs and wants but couldn't have because of their different backgrounds and cultures aside from the lies and obstacles they have to overcome to get together. But once everything is cleared my heart ached for how sweet they were and I wished I could read more about their relationship even the bonus chapter wasn't enough for me!
If you love enemies to lovers and mafia romance stories I really recommend you read "Perfect Enemies"

LOVED this book, and this series and I’m so depressed it’s over! Kane and were my favourite couple so far.
This series is interesting, because as each book passes I’m finding the mafia stories being less and less mafia. Like, the first few involved the typical mafia guys, and now it’s stories about the children still in high school. Noting this though, it makes this series stand out above other mafia series. It’s very diverse in its stories, and we don’t fall into the same traps as most mafia stories.
Take this series. Age gap (though unknown at the time) within a school setting. But I loved the secrets, the storyline, the angst. The romance was so on point and the scenes were hot. Even after truth was revealed, it went exactly as I hoped.
Combined into this book is another romance story, and at first I didn’t feel anything, but after a few chapters about them, I was there for it! There’s a bonus scene the author released, featuring just them. She also commented on her debate of making a novella for just them but left it incorporated into this series. Though she addressed it and gave her rationale, the fan girl in me still wished she wrote the novella because, well, wow. Loved their budding romance too.
Loved this book! I’m so sad to see the end of the series! This is the perfect enemies to lovers, mafia romance. Packed full of slow burny goodness that you can’t get enough of!
