I was a little hesitant when I started this one because while I love Freya and Aiden, I didnt love their story. I worried that the magic was gone for me and the Bergman Brothers.

I was WRONG!

Axel and Rooney were everything I love about Chloe Liese and her masterful storytelling. Axel's self-awareness was a beautiful part of the story. He knew exactly what he needed to be successful and content in life. Rooney was searching for what helped fullfil her lift rather than force her into a rat race she couldn't maintain. Throw in a falling down house and a tricky inheritance and you have a fabulous story that I fell madly in love with.

Liese always leaves us wanting more and I cannot wait to get my hands on Ollie's story. I am in love with those man cubs!

This book is a great marriage of convenience, pining, slow burn, sugary sweet book of goodness!

I admire Chloe Liese and her commitment to research and understand people who live with chronic conditions in order to showcase them in her books. It always adds depth and heart to her stories that the world needs!

This book is Axel and Rooney’s story, set in a beautiful backdrop of a cabin and a wooded A frame. Did I have to google what the heck an A Frame is?! Yes. But it was definitely worth it.

I love the love and respect that Rooney and Alex had for each other, but also the love and respect they developed for each other! It was an all around love story that warmed my heart.

So much pining. SO. MUCH. PINING. Set with a backdrop of pine trees.

Coincidence???? I think not.

Can’t wait for more from the Bergman family!

I received an ARC of this book from Netgalley.

I love all the Bergmans, but dare I say, these two are my favorite? I love them both individually, but their slow burn romance really got me. They are *so* supportive of one another as they explore their feelings and learn to ask for what they want.

Axel is a misunderstood, grumpy introvert on the autism spectrum and Rooney is outgoing, pure sunshine who is dealing with a flare up of her IBD. A mutual crush has been brewing between these two for a while, but neither believes the feelings are reciprocated.

WYF has everything I love about the Bergman series & Chloe’s writing. It’s a heartwarming, hilarious, steamy love story with characters who are typically underrepresented in literature.

Read if you like:

• Grump + sunshine
• Marriage of convenience
• Forced proximity
• Slow burn
• Open door romance
• Dual POV

This book was very enjoyable to read. I really adore Chloe Liese and her writing.

With You Forever follows Axel Bergman who is a grumpy emotional artist and Rooney Sullivan who is a sunshine law student. The main reason why I love Chloe Liese and her books is because of the chronic illness and nerodiverse representation in them.

In With You Forever, Axel is on the autism spectrum and Rooney has IBS, more specifically ulcerative colitis. This is an Own Voices book because Chloe Liese herself is autistic. I love that she writes from the heart and you really get to see that in this book.

Rooney shows up to the Bergman family vacation house for a mini get away, Axel is there. The house she is meant to stay at needs major repairs and no one can stay in it. Axel is worried about how he will get the house repaired without alerting his family. His friend suggest to Axel to use the inheritance that his Uncle has left. him. Only one major problem, he has to get married to have access to it.

This marriage of convenience story is so interesting to read. Axel and Rooney won't admit their feelings to one another and that is a recipe for a slow burn romance. I loved their story. I love how over time and learning how to trust each other, they finally fall in love.

Both characters learn how to take care of the other especially with their chronic illness and autism. Its really such a sweet but steamy romance everyone should read!

A solid contemporary romance with heart, humour and heat, featuring Axel who is a grump with autism and Rooney, a burst of sunshine with a chronic illness (inflammatory bowel disease)

Why should you pick up this book
- because it is heartfelt. These characters are fleshed out and real and their troubles and heartbreak just absolutely gets under your skin.
- the particular form of love the Bergman brothers have for eachother (aka, the Bergman Bullshit/meddling.)
- imaginative swearing (this one featuring 'Jesus Christmas Christ')
- just lines upon lines of home truths 'sometimes people love you their best, and it's still not enough', 'I never thought of what I was missing. Just what I was avoiding'. I swear, it's like therapy, reading these books (the good, the very best kind)
- in 'Only When It's Us', we had the Tall Asshole, this book features the Fast Asshole and I am here for it.

What a sweet slow burn marriage of convenience grump/ sunshine romance. I was very excited for this book!

Axel was so intriguing in the previous books, you couldn’t help, but be drawn to him and his reclusive nature. I loved getting to know him and how he ticks in this book! As an own voices book and with him having autism it’s such a great insight into how people with it can struggle. I absolutely loved this adorable grump of a man!

Rooney was a ball of sunshine. Although she is optimistic, she’s had her fair share of life struggles that are on going. You really feel for the girl with what she has to go through. I loved her ability to laugh at stressful situations and she was just gorgeous!

As I said this is a slow burn and I mean slow! But these two have been secretly pining for each other, so the tension is intense! They worked so well together, their chemistry on top basically being opposites, they just meshed really well.

I love the Bergman family. I kinda wish they were mine! Haha they are hilarious and awesome and I definitely can’t wait to read more!

4.5 stars from me!

Have you ever started a book and just knew it was going to be everything? This is the book. This book had me from start to finish. I was very much anticipating Rooney and Axel’s story and honestly it blew me away. It was so perfect. This story is funny and emotional and swoony. I honestly cannot express enough how much I loved it from beginning to end.

I am already counting the days to Ollie’s story. I absolutely cannot handle this wait.

Amazing. I really can't describe how much it made me feel. I still can't process it fully.

Both of the characters are a work in progress. Human beings that learn to be brave and love eachother. I loved seeing how they got comfortable in their own skin and shared their fears and wants. The vulnerability they both displayed was incredible, and the character development was outsanding.

It has mutual pining, close proximity, marriage of convenience, grumpy and sunshine, and a very very SLOW burn. Axel's neurodivergent and Rooney has a chronic illness. I also liked that this was not just thrown in there, they were a fundamental part of the characters and played a huge role on the story. Because of his neurodivergence and her chronic illness, they learned to trust someone to just love you, all of you.

Sometimes when you get to book 4 in a series I get worried that the magic will be gone but I am here to tell you the magic is still going strong with Axel and Rooney. The Bergman siblings show up throughout the book but their matchmaking schemes weren’t even necessary. Axel and Rooney’s relationship was sort of a slow burn and snuck up on me. Their forced proximity helped them get to know each other and eventually they didn’t want to be apart even though their circumstances had changed.

With You Forever was very well written. The characters were well developed and after circling each for 3 books, I was so glad to read about their HEA.

This is the fourth book in Liese's Bergman Brothers series. It's Axel's turn to be the spotlight character. The novel is told in alternating chapters between him and Rooney, his "wife." What begins as a marriage of convenience becomes all too real as the story goes on. Liese does an admirable job of fleshing out the backstories of both characters, making it clear why their journey is not going to be smooth with plausibility and sensitivity. Readers for the most part don't need to have read the previous installments, although there are more than enough Easter Eggs and references to the earlier books to make it worth reading all of the entries. The story could have been a little bit tighter, some of the side stories didn't feel essential or necessarily move the plot forward, which may be nitpicking.

Chloe does it again! I’ve been so excited to read Axel and Rooney’s book and it did not disappoint. If you love a sweet and tender romance this one is for you. It’s low on angst and just an incredibly fun and enjoyable story. As always the side characters add even more fun to the story, including Bergman siblings popping up here and there, and new characters as well. Chloe is the most thoughtful writer and I love how she writes her characters and makes her stories inclusive. Can’t wait to continue reading this series!

**Thanks so much to NetGalley and Chloe Liese for the advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

“As humans, we owe it to ourselves to know our hearts.”

This is the fourth book in the Bergman Sibling series and it was all I ever hoped for and more. Coziness, vulnerability, the slowest of burns!! Dare I say it’s my favorite one of the series (but please don’t make me choose).

I absolutely loved Axel and Rooney’s story. Beautiful writing with such intentionality and wonderful representation (in my opinion) for chronic illness (IBD) and neurodivergence (ASD). This book was about the safety of love and also the acceptance of people as they are.

Also I think my new fav trope is marriage of convenience since this book and Xeni are both five stars for me?! How? Why? Who am I? I think I thrive off of the absurdity of it??

I highly recommend this for fans of reading and will leave you with this last quote from Viggo (whose book I am desperate for!!):

“In my humble opinion, romance novels aren’t just epically sexy, heartfelt escapes— they’re little homecomings to ourselves.”

CW: parental struggles, sexual content

If you aren't already hooked on the Bergman Brothers series, you have some time to catch up before this beautiful book comes out! Chloe Liese's writing is just phenomenal, and every book sucks me in with wonderfully relatable characters.

I was already rooting for Axel and Rooney in the previous Bergman books. From lingering stares to charades kisses, we could all feel the chemistry. But that pales in comparison to getting in their heads and experiencing their love story! There's a reason forced proximity is my absolute favorite trope, the characters can't deny their feelings when they're with each other constantly, and it moves the plot along perfectly.

Rooney and Axel have such a sweet, slow burn romance. They're completely oblivious to each other's feelings, but when circumstances result in a marriage of convenience it becomes increasingly difficult to keep their feelings, and hands, to themselves.

I'm not sure which I loved more, Rooney's sunshine personality or Axel's quiet brooding. They both completely stole my heart!

Definitely add this one to your TBR if you enjoy:
♡ slow burn
♡ forced proximity
♡ marriage of convenience
♡ amazing chemistry
♡ #ownvoices portrayals of neurodiverse characters

Thank you Chloe Liese and Netgalley for the eARC in exchange for an honest review!

I don’t think I’m a fan of the marriage of convenience trope so this one was a hard one for me to read. It was my least favorite Bergman book so far but still a fantastic book. The slow burn was filled with a lot of romance.

Finally...FINALLY we get Rooney and Axel's story and goodness, it was absolute perfection. So many times when authors write series, their books become formulaic, following the same beats and pattern that are predictable. Chloe Liese's books don't. Each new book feels fresh, different and truly fits the Bergman sibling that it showcases.

Needing a break from law school to focus on her health, Rooney sets off to spend alone time at the Bergman A-frame. She runs smack dab into Axel, who's been fixing up the house, while trying to hide its true state of disaster from his entire family. With an artistic creative block, Axel's art is not selling and he has to come up with a plan to get the money to pay for the repairs quickly.

Axel has been a man of mystery in the first three books and it was a treat to get into his head throughout the book. Nobel and stoic, Axel craves to take care of things for his family, despite their sometimes rocky relationship. Ever the loaner, he's constantly at war with himself, battling the feelings for Rooney he's kept deep for two years. Axel wants to love, but he doesn't think he's capable of it. To his surprise, Rooney is also yearning for a sense of belonging and purpose. The two fit together beautifully. Axel comforts her insecurities and knows the right things to say in Rooney's moments of doubt. And Rooney truly sees Axel for who he is - imperfections and all - and still loves every bit of his being.

Chloe Liese is the QUEEN of slow burn romances! This pair has been doing a careful dance around each other for two years and the way they pine for each other and fight their feelings is just so good. Their romance is angsty and done beautifully as Rooney and Axel figure out their feelings for each other and what love looks like and means to them. I am always curious how a marriage of convenience trope will play out in contemporary romances and With You Forever does it perfectly. It's believable and realistic.

While we get small glimpses of some of the other Bergman siblings throughout the book, we get to know the A-frame and its neighbors more intimately. Wherever this A-frame and tiny town are located, I need to travel there. I can see it so clearly in my mind and it screams comfort and safety. I loved the inclusion of new characters. Skylar, Axel's goddaughter, is a hoot and adds impeccable comedic timing to every scene she enters. And the animals and Axel's relationship with them warmed my heart.

Once again, the short glimpses we get of Viggo is making me fall in love with his character more and more! He is such a big personality and I love the way he meets his brothers where they are to help them understand their feelings through romance novels.

There is truly only one word to describe this book: PERFECT. It's a hug for your heart and makes you believe in love for everyone. I couldn't have dreamed a better story for Rooney and Axel. I didn't want the book to end. If you haven't read this series, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?!?!?!

Thank you to the author and NetGalley for the advanced copy.

With You Forever publishes September 14.

“Every one of us is worthy of loving and being loved in whatever way is true to us.”

It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of Chloe Liese’s Bergman Brothers series. I’ve read books 1, 2, and 3 multiple times and I just love to escape into the world of this family. With You Forever is Axel and Rooney’s story. We got hints that there was something between them in earlier books, but watching their love story unfold was still unexpectedly tender.

Axel is the second oldest Bergman - a painter who keeps to himself and is content with the life he’s built in Washington state. Rooney’s taken a leave of absence from law school to deal with her worsening health and reassess her future. Needing an escape, she heads to the Bergman’s A-frame cabin where she runs into Axel and learns that the cabin is uninhabitable at the moment. Axel has big plans to fix it up without involving his family, but he’s short on funds and not sure he can raise them the old fashioned way. He could, however, get married in order to access a large inheritance from a dead uncle that would solve his financial woes. Needing a purpose for her time in Washington, Rooney offers to enter into a marriage of convenience to help Axel fix up the house his family loves.

Reading this book felt like a warm hug on a chilly day. Like an exhale after a stressful week. Like the epilogue to your favorite book. It was soft and tender, while being an incredibly intimate and moving story about learning that you - yes you, exactly as you currently are without need for fixing - are worthy of love, acceptance, and happiness. Watching Axel and Rooney slowing open up to each other about their past hurts and future hopes was such a gift. They beautifully made space for the other’s needs without making it seem like a burden to love the other person how they need to be loved.

Like the others in this book, this is a slooooww burn with a wickedly delicious payoff. All that forced proximity, one-bed goodness shines! We get small glimpses at some of the other Bergman family members but not a ton. The only thing I wanted more of from this book was to see the family’s reaction to Axel and Rooney together beyond the *amazing* Bergman Brother Summit scene.

Thanks to the author for the gifted copy. All opinions are my own.

I received an ARC of this book from the publisher in exchange for my honest review. Thank you to NetGalley and Victory Editing for making that happen.

This was my first Chloe Liese book, and it's safe to assume it won't be the last.

Axel and Rooney are thrust together in a marriage of convenience when Axel needs it to claim an inheritence from his late uncle. But little do either of them know is that they are firmly holding a torch for the other.

I loved how this story plays out, even though this particular trope is not my favorite. Rooney is smart, funny, and perfectly engaging, whereas Axel is grumpy and moody, but lights up whenever Rooney is around. I like thr author's realistic portrayal of the troubles with Rooney's chronic illness, and with Axel's neurodivergence. I like that Axel and Rooney are able to find love with each other despite their own respective voices telling them otherwise.

This book was well-written, warm, and lovely. I can't wait to read the other books in this series. Chloe Liese has gained another fan.

Chloe Liese is quickly becoming one of my favorite and most reliable authors! The Bergman Brothers series in particular are all standouts that I would (and have) recommended to everyone seeking a book to read!

Each book in the series, despite having very different characters and plots, manages to make me laugh, cry, and hug it to my chest when it’s over. If you hate book hangovers… this may not be the series for you. Each book keeps you wanting more!

Forever With You explores the spark that’s been simmering for several books between the bubbly Rooney Sullivan and the brooding Axel Bergman. When they’re brought together by a marriage of convenience, they are forced to stop hiding from their feelings and find what makes them happy.

Forced to take a break from her promising career as a law student due to her chronic health issues, Rooney Sullivan is offered a place to stay at the Bergman family A-frame in the woods. She previously meets the Bergman clan through her best friend Willa, and she finds herself desperate to be a part of the close-knit family (without having to interact with her longtime crush Axel Bergman).

Little does she know that her place of refuge is currently being inhabited by the very person she is trying to avoid. Axel Bergman assumed his stay at the family cabin would be a solitary experience where he could make necessary renovations without family meddling. After learning the hefty cost of the renovations, Axel knows that he must consider accessing the inheritance left by his late uncle which stipulates that he can only get the money if he is married. With everything weighing on him, the last thing he expects is to see Rooney Sullivan, the woman he can’t get out of his mind, with her bags packed and ready to move in.

When Axel’s renovations prove to be too expensive for him to afford and Rooney’s visit proves to be very ill-timed, the two find themselves living in Axel’s tiny cabin… married.

Between the witty banter and steamy intimate scenes, readers fall in love with an introverted hero on the autism spectrum and a selfless heroine with chronic IBD. With Liese herself being on the autism spectrum, this #OwnVoices book approaches and handles these sensitive subjects with care.

While I recommend reading the entire series before starting this book, Forever With You is a heartwarming and hilarious book that can be read as a standalone. You will not regret picking up this book!

Special thanks to NetGalley for sharing this digital reviewer copy with me in exchange for my honest thoughts.

Chloe Liese is a breath of fresh air! Her romances are thoughtful, steamy, relevant, and absolute perfection. I thoroughly enjoy the Bergman family and the Easter eggs of hope for the next romance in the series. The way Liese handles chronic illness in her work is nothing short of art.

There’s a special feeling when you pick up a book by an author you’ve been reading for a while and you just know that they have relaxed into writing. In With You Forever, the fourth in the Bergman Brothers series, Chloe Liese feels like she’s hit her stride. The book is relaxed and confident. There were no moments when I felt like she had added something to the story because she thought it was required. It made reading this book like sinking into the most comfortable reading chair with your beloved pet snuggling you in just the right way, with occasional extra good hugs from someone you love.

Rooney is Willa’s best friend, and has been adopted into the larger Bergman clan. The Bergmans are pretty sure that Rooney and Axel, the eldest Bergman brother, have feelings for each other and have tried to nudge them along. Rooney has Inflammatory Bowel Disease, a chronic illness, which has flared up badly. She needs a break, so Willa and Ryder offer her the use of the family A-frame in Washington State. Except, and Willa knows this, it’s Axel’s time at the cabin. What Will doesn’t know is that the A-frame is in need of significant and immediate repairs that Axel wants to take care of without the family finding out.

Rooney stays at Axel’s small cabin, and some other things happen that I don’t want to spoil. They spend time together, gradually and carefully showing each other their most vulnerable pieces. Long before they get to the penetrative sex, they are talking about how touch feels to them, and what works or doesn’t for their bodies and their libidos. Rooney’s IBD is a chronic condition that impacts her body all the time. Axel’s autism impacts not only the way he experiences and processes feelings, but also the way he responds to touch. Part of the sexy steamy in this book are the conversations about communication, wanting, and even the stuff that makes them feel unsexy. It’s makes me wish I could go back in time and renegotiate a lot of my own past experiences. It’s just so swoony.

There is a third act break up here. I am not averse to them if they make sense. They can be quite cathartic. In this case, it did make sense and it was cathartic.

The Bergman family make enough appearances that I am ready for Viggo’s book (which is probably not next). He is both very lovable and also love is going to kick him in the pants in ways he can’t imagine.

CW: grief, IBD flareup, difficult parental relationships, abandoned animals (they are all safe and healthy), internalized ableism.

I received this as an advance reader copy from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
