A great book to get you into the xmas spirit. It’s a feel good book where the main characters have suffered a loss after mum/wife had died and the little girl just wants her daddy to be happy again! She goes on a mission to find her daddy a new wife!

Santa's Sweetheart is the fourth book in The Christmas Tree Ranch series by Janet Dailey. This is one of my favorite series by this author. One reason is that the stories are cute of which this is a clear example. You can’t help but enjoy a story where the six-year old decides she know what is best for her daddy. Sheriff Sam Delaney may be the law in Branding Iron, Texas but his young daughter Maggie is a force to be reckoned with.

Such a fun story, it puts you in the holiday spirit as well as in the hopefulness that love can bring. Having an off day or one that has rain clouds above your head then Santa’s Sweetheart will put it all to right and bring the sunshine in.

An ARC of the book was provided by the publisher through NetGalley which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

A great read for getting in the mood for Christmas. This book ticks all the boxes for me: heartwarming, emotional, small town setting, cute kid and Christmas. It’s just begging to be turned into a Hallmark Christmas movie! I also kind of liked that it was set 25 years ago, in simpler times.

I enjoyed this book. It was a quick, easy read. I usually do read Janet Dailey's Christmas book each year.

I enjoyed reading Santas Sweetheart. I was q little bugged by the times that Sam's daughter was thinking about her dad. She calls him Sam not dad in her head, she's in first grade so that was a problem for me. Not enough to ruin it for me though.

Grace Chapman is the first grade teacher in Branding Iron, Texas, a small town where everyone knows each other. She found her way to Branding Iron after ending her second engagement. This time only days before the wedding. Grace needed to get away. She is happy with her move. She enjoys living with her two roommates, the children in her class and the laid back town. When one of her best students, Maggie Delaney goes on strike against attending her Phys Ed class Grace calls a meeting with Maggie's father. There's something up with Maggie's behavior.

Six-year-old Maggie Delaney is on a mission. She lost her mother the year before to an auto accident. She and her dad have been very sad. Now she thinks her dad is lonely and needs a girlfriend. Her choice for him is her teacher, Miss Chapman.

Sam Delaney is the sheriff in Branding Iron, Texas. He is slowly coming to to terms with the loss of his wife the previous year. His daughter Maggie is his priority now. Her attempts at matchmaking make him smile. She just may have hit the bullseye with Grace Chapman though. Too bad Grace has commitment problems. Can Sam convince Grace he is a safe bet?

Santa's Sweetheart by Janet Dailey is the fourth book in her Christmas Tree Ranch series. This is a sweet Christmas romance. Grace and Sam are very likable characters and Maggie is adorable. I kept rooting for them to become a family. Sam and Grace have issues from their pasts. I admired Sam for moving forward after tragedy. Grace had a rough path to her realization of what caused her personal commitment problem. The story of the forming of this little family and their HEA is heartwarming and entertaining.

This is a very good book. The two main characters are Grace and Sam. The most important character is Sam’s daughter Maggie. Maggie’s mom died last Thanksgiving in a drunk driving accident. All Maggie wants is for her dad to be happy so she decides to find him a wife. She decides that her teacher is a great candidate to be her new mom. She keeps throwing her dad and her teacher together. They both have some issues and together they work through them to find true love.

A perfect Hallmark movie style Christmas novel.
This was a cute romance read , Young Maggie wants to see her widowed dad Sam happy, so she devises a plan to find him a wife and her a new mom....her grade 1 teacher seems like the perfect match. Grace has some intimacy and trust issues. This book follows her path to healing along with Sams . It’s a fun read , a bit predictable but I enjoyed it. Books like this are a great way to escape and enjoy a story that ends happily.

Thanks to NetGalley for the free advanced copy, any opinions are mine regarding this novel.

Definitely a Christmas movie should be in the works. Sam is the Sheriff of Branding Iron, Texas. He is a widow and raising his little girl Maggie. Maggie is such a sweetheart, she knows her dad is lonely and decides to play matchmaker. After going through a list of possible candidates Maggie has picked her 1sr grade teacher, Miss. Chapman.
Grace Chapman is fairly new to Branding Iron. She is fitting right in with the small community. She is also escaping from a almost wedding, the fear of commitment, cold feet and not her first time. Her student Maggie suddenly is acting out, she goes on a PE strike. Of course now she needs to meet with her parent. And so begins Maggie’s plan.

Christmas stories like this one absolutely warm my heart, it truly does. I enjoyed everything about "Santa's Sweetheart", the characters, the small village at Christmas time, the deep felt emotions and how one little girl's only wish is to make her daddy be happy again.

A small town sheriff, Sam is a widower with a young daughter and some of the scenes between them had me in tears, their loss of a wife/mother, so acutely felt. Maggie wants to find a girlfriend for her daddy and she sets her eyes on her school teacher, Grace. Not all goes according to plan, though, as Grace has a lot of angst with relationships!

Janet Dailey writes from the heart and one can tell that through the written words of this story. Christmas is all about hope and wishes that come true.

Sam Delaney is the Sheriff of Branding Iron, Texas. Grace has moved to town to teach 1st grade. Sam's wife was killed in an accident last year and he is raising his daughter Maggie alone.
Maggie decides Sam needs to remarry so he can be happy again. Maggie starts looking for a new mother and ends up with her teacher Grace.
Grace has commitment issues due to her father cheating and leaving the family when she was young and has already called off 2 engagements. Sam has to play Santa this year for the town Christmas party and Grace is on the committee and brings some new ideas to the table to improve the Christmas celebration.
I received this book free from NetGalley for a review.
I really enjoyed this book and Maggie is featured in My Kind of Christmas. Maggie has taken over as mayor of Branding Iron in this book.

Story of a Sheriff Sam Delaney and his daughter Maggie. Sam’s wife had died unexpectedly and he and Maggie were having difficulty dealing with the day-to-day things of life until a new teacher moved to town. Grace Chapman, the new teacher, had had some difficulties in her life that made her afraid of commitment. Easy reading story that seems to work out for the good of all involved. The library doesn’t buy paperbacks but if donated I would recommend this book to others.

This is my first Janet Dailey and come on now, give me all the Christmas heartwarming romances because wooow. Santa's sweetheart is a delightful romance that is surely enough to make you dream of Christmas and happy ever after . It's a single-parent romance set in a small town *long sigh* that follows s a single dad (hunk of a sheriff), a single woman that happens to be a teacher, and an adorable matchmaking six-year-old girl.. This book is a highly predictable romance but it doesn't take from how good it is. I highly recommend it and if you don't start daydreaming about Christmas and the dashing sheriff I have no idea what could be wrong with you.A huge thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for my e-ARC in exchange for an honest review

Santa's Sweetheart was such a darling Christmas romance! It took me a minute to get into but once I did I was so invested in these characters! It might be because I hadn't read any of this series before. I would say it would be perfect for a Hallmark movie as it has all the amazing qualities of a good one!

I loved this book! It was simple, and yes predictable, but it was a great, feel good, Christmas Book that left me smiling.
Sam lost his wife a year ago in an accident and has struggled ever since to raise their adorable young daughter, Maggie. Grace has a bad history with man, she has a deep rooted fear of commitment. When Maggie dreams of a suitable wife for her dad, she instantly sets her sights on Grace, who happens to be her first grade teacher.
Sam and Maggie have a bumpy road to happily ever after, but if they can each put their pasts behind them, then perhaps they can build a future together.
Great characters, fun storyline, love the town. Hope to read more about them in the future.

Santa's Sweetheart by Janet Dailey is her fourth book in her popular The Christmas Tree Ranch Series. The book is a super cute, sweet, holiday romance that involves a single dad, a single woman, and an adorable matchmaking six-year-old girl.

Maggie is the six-year-old daughter to single dad Sheriff Sam Delaney. Maggie’s mother died leaving her and her dad alone for Christmas. Maggie decides that her father is too lonely and sets off to find him a wife. Her new teacher, Grace Chapman is the perfect candidate. Grace is recovering from a broken engagement and the last thing she wants is to jump into a new relationship. But, she has to admit that the Sherrif is hard to resist.

Santa’s Sweetheart is a charming but somewhat predictable small-town romance involving a sweet little girl. At first, I thought this book would be a bit too sappy for me, but I was surprised that it had a bit more emotional depth than I anticipated. The book was a bit slow to get off the ground in the beginning, but soon enough the action picked up and I flew through the rest of the book.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a wholesome sweet, small-town romance. I received a complimentary copy of this book. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
