Couldn’t stop and yet knew if i kept going it would all be over. :( Have loved this series and devoured every book. This final book didn’t disappoint in wrapping up Pippa’s journey. Am now a full fledged devoted Holly Jackson fan!
Intense to the very end!
This is the best book of the series! Action packed and suspenseful enough to keep the stress level high! The author made me feel everything that Pip went through, physically and emotionally. Pip’s stubbornness exasperated me at times but her intelligence knows no bounds and makes her stubborn because she can analyze situations and outcomes that others might not see. The mysteries come full circle with intensity and full force. I don’t want to spoil the story but if you like mysteries then this series is a must-read, 5 stars!
OMG THIS WAS AMAZING! I could not believe how Pippa finishes out her high school career and works her podcast. An amazing ending to an awesome series!
Another incredible book in the series! I am so sad that the series is over, and would love a story in the future about Pip. I feel like the story wrapped up so well, and each mystery that Pip was involved in got better and better as the series continued. I will miss these characters so much, however I can't wait for the next book that Holly Jackson writes.
Blame it on my Gemini moon, but I have mixed emotions about the conclusion to Pip's story.
On the one hand, I can see the appeal of a shock-and-awe left-hand turn halfway through the book.
On the same hand, I can rationalize a slowly-paced exposition to draw out tension and build suspense.
However. HOW.EV.ER. I couldn't shake the feeling that there was too much disparity between the Pip of the past two books and the Pip of this one. While I can suspend some disbelief and roll with it, this is fiction, after all, I just ... can't with the majority of the novel.
I'll still recommend the series to kids for the true-crime podcast elements, but for me, this is where the line with YA Thrillers has been permanently drawn.
Pip is suffering from PTSD after the events at the end of the last book and is under threat from an unknown serial killer. She should be getting ready for college, but is instead locked into solving yet another mystery.
I feel like the author committed character assassination with this book. The story line didn't fit the characters as written in the previous books. This series should have stopped with a duology or as a stand-alone book. It feels like Holly Jackson was pressured to spread this into a trilogy because of the popularity of the first book and didn't really know what to do with Pip and her friends. I'm going to pretend this book doesn't exist.
An explosive and exciting finale to a series that thrilled me to no end. I really enjoyed the author's writing and I am satisfied with where everything left off. This is a great series
I'm not even sure how to review this. I thought the first book in this series was very good, and stood well on its own. I was excited about a mystery like this for young adults, I liked the characters, and I liked the interesting and creative way that the story was presented. However, in my personal opinion, the sequel was a step down and this was another step--maybe two. I almost didn't even want to read this book, but I felt that I should for completeness.
It's hard to even list all the problems I had with this book. The plot is slow and tediously told, there is way too much internal reflection from the main character, the story is improbable, the main character has become increasingly unlikable as the series has progressed--need I say more? I skimmed that last third of it, because I didn't want to spend any more time on it then I had to.
I am so sad this series is over! I have loved reading all of these books by Holly Jackson, as sad as i am to see Pip’s story come to an end this was a great way to finish it out.
This was a great finish to this series. I was shocked at the turn it took and was a little more violent than I imagined but really good. I would recommend this series for anyone that likes thrillers.
HOLY MOLY. Non stop adrenaline.
I don’t read thrillers and this.is.why. I couldn’t fall asleep until I knew how it ended.

As Good as Dead picks up where Good Girl, Bad Blood left off. We follow Pip as she struggles to deal with the aftermath of the previous novel and the resulting PTSD she is now facing on a daily (and nightly) basis. When Pip begins to receive ominous messages (both online and in person), she is forced back into the world of investigations, and her life is on the line.
I was very much looking forward to this finale to the A Good Girl's Guide to Murder series by Holly Jackson. I was a huge fan of the first two books and expected this one to be just as good, if not better. Unfortunately, this final installment really didn't do it for me. I had trouble with the pacing, and the novel took a huge left turn around halfway through that I wasn't sure how to digest.
Regardless, I would still recommend this series to anyone who is interested. Holly Jackson is an incredibly talented writer.
Long overdue review!
I really enjoyed the conclusion of Pip’s journey as we see her enter college and deal with the trauma she’s experienced. Overall great mystery and great depiction of what it is to deal with PTSD.

A very long overdue review. This book has been out for months and I'm only making my review now.
This was the last book to a beautiful true crime series for young adult. These series was such an enjoyment to read and I was able to feel what the characters feel and how they process each event that has happened in their life.
We follow Pip one last time as she goes through the hardships of what she experienced. But something is slowly getting to her and she needs to figure out before it gets to her.
This was such a good conclusion to the series and it did have a romance subplot but what's a YA book without a romance subplot. I enjoyed the representation of PTSD and what it really does to a person. Overall, a really good book since I enjoy mysteries and true crime at the moment.
Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for providing me an e-arc copy for an honest overdue review.
Another excellent installment I. Holly Jackson’s series. I was riveted from page one snd couldn’t wait to find out the conclusion. I thoroughly enjoyed this YA selection and have decided to add it to my classroom shelf. I believe ,y students will enjoy it as much as I have.
I thought this was a phenomenal finale to the Good Girl's Guide series. There were tons of twists and turns, especially The Big One that changed the whole book. It really delves into how someone survives after a trauma and how systems do not support those who have been through said traumas. I think this is a book (and really a whole series) high schoolers will absolutely eat up.
This is by far my favorite YA thriller series. I know this book was darker than the rest of the series but I was here for it! Pip went through a lot and that changes a person. I loved how the series came full circle and I recommend this to everyone! I also highly recommend the audiobooks!
I recommend this one. It's a good book and everyone should read. Of course I would love to have this book in my bookstore.
This book definitely had me guessing the whole way through. I enjoyed to cat and mouse game and the characters that continued to develop through the story, I was a little disappointed in the ending. The ending left little to the imagination but overall it was worth reading.
Well, that got dark. And I LOVED it. Holly Jackson knows way too much about murder, and we get to benefit from it in this stellar end to the trilogy.
