It started out amazing, but it took a turn that I didn't like. The book was worth finishing, but I did consider skipping it.

I have mixed feelings about this book. Part of me really enjoyed seeing Pip, Ravi, and their friends again, and the mystery was very shocking. Pip's descent into darkness was very well written. However, I didn't feel like the characters really felt like themselves in this book. Pip and Ravi acted in ways that felt very out of character, and I didn't like many of the choices they made. The pacing also felt strange. Many parts of this book were also quite disturbing to read about. Overall, I was a bit disappointed by this conclusion to this series, but I did love seeing some of my favorite characters again and following them for one final mystery!

A return to A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder in the final installment.
🎙
Pip Fitz-Amobi is haunted by the last investigation she helped solve. She isn’t sleeping without the help of Xanax she’s buying from a dealer and her PTSD is out of control. She’s weeks away from attending college, but she can’t focus on that because Pip now has a stalker. One she believes is from a case that was solved years ago putting an innocent man in jail. “Who will look for you when you’re the one who disappears?” Now it’s Pip who’s looking over her shoulder and everything is coming full circle back to the case that started it all.

The struggle with some series is keeping the reader interested and each book progressing forward as the series moves on. Jackson has NAILED this. Each book actually got better and better, in my opinion. At the 50% mark this novel flips the entire book—entire series—on its head and blew me away. I totally cried at the end! I cannot wait to see what Jackson writes next. This YA mystery releases 8.5. Make sure you have all 3 books. This is a MUST READ trilogy.
CW: drug use, murder, violence, death

This book was everything I wanted and more for an ending to this amazing series. It was dark, mysterious and had me on the edge of my seat. Though it had my stress levels on high I could not put it down.

This has been and will always be one of my favorite series of all time. I’ve never read anything like it, and I doubt I will until Jackson comes out with her next whirlwind of a book. I simply cannot wait for that.

What a great ending to this series! I would recommend reading this series in order, otherwise I feel like the reader would be very confused. While there were times I felt like this book was a little slow, overall it really wrapped everything up nicely. I just wish there was another book coming!

The Good Girl’s Guide to Murder series is over! And PHEW! What an ending! So much happened in this book and everything just ties together from the other two books. But there are also some serious ethical questions the reader will be left with at the end.

Pip is suffering from PTSD and questioning whether being right means that you are a good person…or even if that serves true justice. A small town teen known for solving murder cases as well as her true crime podcast, in this final book in the Good Girls Guide to Murder trilogy, Pip finds herself being pursued for the first time. And she doesn’t know if she will make it out alive to tell her story. An edge of your seat whodunnit that will have you questioning the justice system and the meaning of true friendship.

I received a free ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoyed the first book in the series but haven’t loved the last two as much. I don’t know how to feel about this one. There were aspects I really liked, but it was hard for me to want the main character get away with framing someone for murder. Also not a fan of the choices Pip made at the end but was glad it seemed to work out.

As Good as Dead was a thrill from start to end, although not as wonderful as the first two books in the series.

While the first two were greatly wrapped up in mystery-solving with quite a lot of risk and thrill, the third did not follow the same. At first, it seemed like it was going to, and the risks were higher than ever. However, the main character made a couple of consecutively awful decisions that led to the second half of the book being a murder cover-up, and the book didn't end so great either.

Even though the character they framed was awful, it didn't sit right with me that a rapist got charged with first-degree murder instead.

Also, there were some decisions the characters made that did not line up with their same selves in the first two books, creating inconsistencies.

Whatever the case, this was still a really good novel that fans of the series will be entertained by and be sure to pick up.

I am sure this book was as interesting as the first two installments, unfortunately the incredibly vivid descriptions of panic attacks, triggered my own set of panic attacks. I had to bow out too early to unravel the mystery.

This finale to the trilogy will not let readers down. Pip has been greatly affected by what she's seen over the past two books and is struggling with her demons. When forced to make a great decision that alters the course of her life, she deals with the consequences. While this book was more dark than the others, it was still a worthy conclusions, though it did feel like it could've been broken up into two books.

I have loved the Good Girl's Guide to Murder. I will admit that I loved both the first and second book the most.

For some reason I didn't love this book as nearly as much as the first two. I just felt like it didn't needed to be written honestly.

Well Well, I gotta say I was hoping for more with this one too. I was looking forward to this one for soooo long too but it was a let down. I definitely thought the first two books in this series were way better than book 3. It was definitely a slow burn at first but it did pick up but I was not expecting what did happen, happen. I was shocked. Not very happy about it and am shocked on what Pip did in this one. I guess I can see why this book did what it did to have it come to an end.

As Good as Dead was one of my most anticipated 2021 reads. I have to hand it to Holly Jackson - she knows how to write a thriller. Her writing draws me into the story from the very first page, and I can never put the book down until I finish. As Good as Dead has the same compelling, addicting writing as the first two in the series. It was a great complement to the other two in form of style and matched their fast-paced, action-packed thrills.

I love the main character of this series, Pip, and my main hangup with this one was the things she did that seemed like a major departure of her character. I don't want to give spoilers, so I'll address my tension with the book the best I can in vague terms. On one hand, I see the trauma and stress Pip has faced throughout this series that have affected her judgment and also admire the ways she takes all she learns and puts it into action in this final book of the trilogy. On the other, I don't know if I can reasonably believe Pip would seek justice in the way she does in book three. It's well written, it's full of suspense, it's clever, and it calls back well to the first two books. And yet, some plot points felt a bit convenient, and it was hard to see a character I love so dearly turn away from herself.

I would read anything Holly Jackson writes and I love this series overall. I enjoyed this book as a whole, too. I'd still recommend it and this series to everyone.

I was really excited to read the final installment of Pip's inquisitive adventures, until I realized what her last adventure really was. I'm not sure if I didn't love it because it was the 3rd in a trilogy (I generally don't love the last book of a trilogy), or if it was because this story was so different from the others.
I think I got a little lost in the middle because of the plot twist and it's abundant descriptions.
None-the-less, I'm happy for Pip & Ravi.

The third book, and possible finale, in the "Good Girls Guide to Murder" series, picks up where book two leaves off. Pip is struggling with PTSD after Stanley's death and has picked up surprising coping mechanisms, which I did NOT expect from her.

The first third of the book was a struggle to read as I slogged through pages, the plot just seemed to drag, and then all of a sudden it got really good!. Until the end. I am frustrated and shocked with the ending, which I did not predict at all. For fans of this series, it is still worth the read and I know some readers will love how it turns out, however, I was not satisfied with the ending.

Thanks to NetGalley, Holly Jackson, and Random House Children's Delacorte Press for an advanced eBook in exchange for my honest review.

I liked it! I have been going back and forth between three and four stars, and I have decided on three and here is why. I have really enjoyed this series, but Pip's character in the last book changed drastically. She was relying on drugs to sleep, never asking her loved ones for help, and not trusting of the police authorities, and I just didn't love it. I also do not consider this series YA. Just because the characters are YA does not mean that should be your audience with so many disturbing topics for this age category. Overall I would recommend the series with the caveat that book three is not as good as the others.

I have enjoyed this series and liked how the author wrapped it up. I didn't like the teens burning the body and hiding and blaming it on someone else., even if he was evil.. But overall, a good series
