Vineyards, cowboys, in love with brothers' best friend, stranded in snowstorm. Guess what happens?

A cute Christmas Novella with a romance that's been a long time coming.

I really like Maisey Yates and this book delivers on all the tropes. It was just not my type of book

Honey and Jericho have know each other for so long. But then their relationship changes and they see each other in a whole new light. While this wasn't one my favorites in the series I appreciated seeing the last Cooper find her happiness.

Overall, I think Maisey Yates is one of the best Harlequin Desire authors writing for their line right now. She’s excellent at creating three-dimensional, emotional, flawed characters with a relatively well fleshed out romance within the tight page restraints – a super skill if you ask me! RANCHER’S CHRISTMAS STORM was a classic Yates plotline – a young, feisty, motherless heroine who happens to be a virgin paired with her older brothers’ antagonistic, sexually experienced, emotionally damaged best friend.

Now I love a good snowed-in-together romance, which is why I picked this book up in the first place, and for snowed in fun, this book delivered. I really liked the time the couple spent in the cabin together. It was cute and sexy, and I really appreciated the sauna scene! Unfortunately, I had two major beefs with this book that kept me from giving it a higher rating.

First of all, I feel like I’ve read this Yates book before, and it was better. I’m specifically thinking of COWBOY TO THE CORE, which I absolutely loved but had a very similar plot and main characters to this book. But I’ve probably read 20 Yates novels with similar themes and characters, and this just wasn’t one of her better combinations. Both main characters fell a little flat for me, and the emotions felt forced.

My second beef was the number of secondary characters. This book combined plotlines and characters from two Yates series, and it was just too much. There were too many references to previous couples and too few pages to make their brief cameos worth the page time. It sounds minor, but it takes up a lot of page time when you’re working with a short book. Plus, I’ve actually read most of the books referenced ,and I still didn’t care. If this was my first Yates novel, I’d be lost.

Overall, I know what I’m getting when I pick up a Harlequin Desire, and I set my expectations accordingly; I just expected more from this book and Maisey Yates because she usually’s so great! If you want a quick snowed in romance, this might be for you – but I know there are better snowed in romances out there (even some written by Maisey Yates!)

A sweet holiday romance with lots of winter vibes! I'm a sucker for the snowed-in/forced proximity trope, not to mention a best friend's sibling romance, and basically anything with a cowboy. This book had ALL of that, so needless to say, I was excited to give it a read this December.

Rancher’s Christmas Storm by Maisey Yates is the fourth novel in her Gold Valley Vineyards series. The novel follows two rivals—Jericho and Honey as they get stuck together in a cabin during a snowstorm. As the weather rages outside—animosity turns to interest inside and the fire inside the only thing getting hot. Rancher’s Christmas Storm by Maisey Yates is full of heart, spice, and just the right amount of romance.

I enjoyed this book. I love Maiden Yates, she is one of my favorite authors. I have to say that there was a!It of hanky penny in this book and being the old lady prude that I am, I skipped over those parts. I enjoyed this book anyways and would recommend it.

Thank you Harlequin and Netgalley For allowing me to read this book for an honest review.

We follow a woman who is upset that her father sold their family business to a family friend rather than asking her if she wanted it. The family friend is about 8 years older and her brothers best friend. They end up stranded in a snow storm and find an off the grid cabin to stay in until the storm passes. Their they admit feelings for one another and decide to have fun while they are staying in the cabin then will go back to how things were before when they can leave. The story goes from there.

This is a short romance that takes place over the course of a week. It has tropes of brothers best friend , age gap, friends to lovers, one bed, and forced proximity. They all work really well together. On top of the romance both characters have family trauma/Bagade that they are dealing with. Had this been longer and those elements been explored more I think this would have been excellent. But there was almost too much the characters were dealing with to see any character growth in such a short book. I would recommend for a snowy holiday read. One could easily get through this in a day and the writing is good.

This a cozy hot snowy romance with some rougher pasts around the edges of the story. I would recommend. I also read this as a stand alone, I have not read the other books in the series and I don't believe you need to in order to enjoy the book.

Jericho brought Honey's families business leaving Honey pretty angry when she fully planned buying it herself. Which makes things all the more complicated because he knew her for a long time and both have been attracted by one another but age difference and the fact that he now has her family business makes things tough. While going seperate ways they get stuck in a storm causing them to spend their time and that attraction between them.

While this book was pretty predictable it was still a really good read. Honey and Jericho getting the much needed time between eachother to talk things through and let eachother know how they really feel after the troubles simmering between the two. It was interesting seeing how their unplanned time together turned out. If you are into steamy read's then you'll defiantly be into this book. Overall it was a bit short for my taste but it was pretty good for what was there and I did enjoy it.

When Honey's father sells the family vineyard to Jericho, she decides to leave and start a new life. Jericho and Honey have known each other since they were children but he's only seen her as his best friend' sister. Now he realizes that she's grown up and he doesn't want her to leave. Honey's hurt that her father didn't realize that she wanted the vineyard and is determined to move on. But when they get snowed in they start talking and begin to realize their true feelings. Recommended.

I’ll never say no to a Maisey Yates book and this one supports my reasoning. She just knows how to write a kinda trashy, kinda romantically story!
This is the 4th book in the series, though having read them all, you could easily read each one as a stand-alone, especially this one because there’s not a whole lot of backstory involved that wasn’t referenced to in the book. Jericho and Honey have been at odds even though they’re family is close-Jericho is her brother’s best friend. After her father sells the winery to Jericho instead of letting Honey have it, she decides she gonna move away from her family and start over on her own. When she leaves, a massive snow storm hits and her car breaks down in the middle of nowhere. Thankfully, Jericho happens to come along and rescued her, but they are stuck there because the roads are so bad. They wander a bit and find an unused B&B so they decide to ride out the storm there. While locked in together, they admit their true feeling for each other and being secluded helps to fuel their connection. Let the steam begin!
If you’re a fan of the enemies to lovers trope, grab this one asap!
Thanks to Harlequin Desire and Netgalley for this Arc in exchange for my review.

Jericho Smith and Honey Cooper have known each other since children. They bicker a lot but underneath that anger is unrequited desire--though Jericho keeps that buried since Honey is his best friend's sister. Honey has always had a crush on Jericho despite their age difference but Jericho has never looked at her as anything but annoying.

However, a snowstorm is about to change all that. Jericho and Honey are thrown together in a rustic cabin in the mountain and they will have to depend on each other to survive. In force, close proximity, neither will find easy to deny the fire inside.

This was a quick, fun read. It must be tough being the only girl and the youngest in the family and Honey had to learn to establish her independence while Jericho had to build a bond with relatives he had no idea existed. Maisey Yates knows how to deliver a romance.

Thank you #Netgalley and #Harlequin for the ARC.

I have voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of this title given to me via NetGalley. I really enjoyed this book. It was really well written and it just had you trying to solve the mystery. I look forward to seeing what’s next from this author.

I enjoyed Honey and Jericho’s story. They were at times snarky and serious and their dialogue was sometimes intense. Not having read either Creed or Jackson’s stories, I didn’t have much background to the Cooper family or Honey herself, but I’m quite familiar with the Dalton clan. I found that they brought a richer dynamic to Honey and Jericho, even with their short interaction, than her family did.
Like most of Maisey Yates’ books, there is a lot of inner dialogue from the MCs. That’s sometimes an issue for me, but not in this case. I was glad to get to know them better that way, since they were so buttoned up, feelings wise…plus it was a shorter story. I mentioned the previous siblings stories, but this book can definitely be read as a stand-alone for those who haven’t visited Gold Valley before. I enjoyed it.

This is a classic forced proximity, "there's only one bed" romance and there's no better way to write this trope than having the couple be literally snowed in. I would have liked more of the book to focus on the snowed in part but I liked the lead up to that moment. This was the 4th book in the series and while you can read it independently, I did feel lost a few times, especially with the storyline involving Jericho's family. Overall I thought this was a fun, entertaining Christmas romance that I would recommend to people looking for something quick.

Rancher's Christmas Storm by Maisey Yates is the 4th book in the Gold Valley Vineyards series. I have really enjoyed this series. In this book, Honey Cooper is the younger sister of Jericho Smith’s best friend. She is off limits.

Honey has worked for her father at Cowboy Vines and expected to run it when her father retired. That did not happen. Jericho bought the business when Honey’s father offered him the opportunity. Honey feels betrayed. She takes a job and leaves just before a blizzard strikes. Her truck dies on the road and she does not have cell service. Jericho is on his way to meet his family for the first time when he finds Honey in her truck. They are stuck together and are lucky to find a cabin where they wait out the blizzard.

I loved these two characters. They are fun to watch as they find each other in a difficult situation. Although it is a stand alone book, reading the series in order enriches the characters and gives the reader a better understanding of their motives.

Thank you to Net Galley, the publisher and author for the opportunity to read this arc for free.

Honey Cooper has had a crush on Jericho forever, but he’s never treated her like anything but a bratty younger sister. He’s frustrating and arrogant and they do nothing but lock horns. Now Jericho’s gone and bought the family winery out from her. Honey’s angry and hurt with both her father and Jericho. Her father didn’t even consult her and that smarts, so she’s moving on with a new job and in her personal life. She’s packed and ready to go, but a snowstorm throws a wrench into her plans, stranding her with Jericho in an off-the-grid cabin. Let the fun begin!

Jericho has always noticed Honey, but she’s off limits being the little sister of his best friends and her father, a man who’s treated him like a son. They took him in as family when his mother died. Although, he’s never had brotherly feelings for Honey. It’s a shock that she’s leaving and has plans to carry on with another man. It brings out a strong jealous, possessive streak and the sparks fly!

I just love a forced proximity situation! Being snowed in a winter wonderland sounded dreamy to me. It’s especially useful when a character is being pig-headed and won’t acknowledge what’s right in front of him. Thankfully, Jericho’s stupidity didn’t last for long. Being stuck with Honey brought all his feelings for her to the surface, impossible to ignore. Rancher’s Christmas Storm was a fun combination of unrequited love, enemies-to-lovers, nudged along by a stuck-together-snowed-in situation, and I enjoyed every minute!

This is a Cowboy Romance, and this is the 4th book in the Gold Valley Vineyards series. I have read and review the other books in this series before reading this book. I have to say I really loved this book, and I could not put it down. I read this book in one sitting because I was so pulled into the story. I have also read the Gold Valley series, and there are some of the side characters in this book that is from the Gold Valley series. You do not have to read the Gold Valley or the Gold Valley Vineyards, but I think you would understand Jericho's backstory a lot more if you have read the Gold Valley series before picking up this book. I loved Honey's character so much. I have to say the beginning of this book was not the best, but after it gets going I fell in love with this book. The ending was ok. The best part of this book is the middle There is steamy, funny, and caring parts of this book. I was kindly provided an e-copy of this book by the publisher (Harlequin Desire) or author (Maisey Yates) via NetGalley, so I can give an honest review about how I feel about this book. I want to send a big Thank you to them for that.

A quick and fun romance. When Honey thinks her unrequited love for Jericho isn't returned she contemplates about her future. Ever since he came to live with her family when he was 16 and his mother passed, there's always been something. When her father sells him the family winery which she dreamed of running, she feels there's no option but to leave.

She gets stuck in a snowstorm when her car dies and Jericho rescues her on the way to meet his biological father and half siblings for the first time. They end up stranded and realize their feelings for each other are mutual. For a few days they act on their feelings, but after the storm ends and they return home, reality sets in. Can they open their hearts to love and build a life together? I give it 3.5 stars; the character change but same basic story outline.

I received a free ARC eBook from Net Galley and the publisher in exchange for my honest opinions.

I’m always here for a Maisey book, so I don’t even read the synopsis any more.

I liked Honey and Jericho well enough. They bicker like crazy, but eventually they actually started listening and having real conversations. It was extra delightful to see some of the previous characters and how they all interacted.

Plot wise, it was okay. I’m always wanting more with novellas and this was no exception. Especially since it seemed like 90% of this book was inner monologue. Jericho said some pretty crap things and I wanted a lot more groveling. Or you know, any amount of groveling.

Overall, it was a quick read with characters who were easy to get invested in. I look forward to whatever Maisey puts out next.
