The story opens with Lizzie the small town girl dead. No one really seemed to know her very well even though she married the town jock. Her husband is missing and the local coos are trying to figure out what happened. A great twisty tale that holds the readers attention from the beginning.

Thank you Netgalley for a copy in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts are my own.

What do I say without giving all the things away?

Prepare to get all kinds of whiplash and for your eyelids to hurt from the rapid blinking of surprise you will get...

Oh and. Don't let the slow southern drawl (of the writing and how the narrator translates it brilliantly) fool you like it did me. Don't be me. Don't get rammed by the bus.

Even though I cheated a little bit by checking out other reviews so I knew there would be a twist, I wasn't expecting the twist I got. A good thriller for those who like Gone Girl.

I listen to a lot of audiobooks (2-3 per week) and the majority are thrillers, suspense, and/or mysteries, but this one just did nothing for me. There were no shocking twists, no intrigue to make me want to listen to one more chapter, and a lot of the narration felt monotone which is also kind of how the whole plot itself felt. This just was not for me at all.

Lizzie Oullette is dead. That’s what the people of Copper Falls believe, including Lizzie’s father, but will anyone miss her? And is it really Lizzy? And what about her husband Dwayne? Is he the one who murdered and disfigured her? What do the police think?

What a fabulous audiobook. The writing is sharp and the narration is clear, both drew me into the book from page one. If you like surprises, this is the book for you; there’s a dandy of one smack-dab in the middle of the book. From there, things just get more and more interesting. This book will leave you with much to ponder. Is something like this possible? Is it something you could do? I’ll be thinking about it for a while.

I received a copy of this audiobook from Netgalley. I thank all involved for their generosity, but it had no effect on this review. All opinions in this review reflect my true and honest reaction to listening to this book.

I very much enjoyed the wonderful atmospheric descriptions, well-developed characters, and great twist. I was a bit taken aback by the brutally of the early scene, but this is not a pervasive feature of the book and it didn't seem gratuitous once more was revealed. The more I read, the more I liked this book! I had the pleasure of listening to the audiobook version and all the narrators were first rate. Many thanks to Harper Audio and NetGalley for an advance copy of the audiobook. Highly recommended.

No One Will Miss Her tells the story of Lizzie, a small town girl, stuck in a life that she didn't want. She toils in her quest to make money by any means necessary-- having a rental cabin, being a vet assistance and even dressing animals for hunters that don't want to do it themselves. She marries young, after she discovers she is pregnant, and feels trapped in Copper Falls and in her marriage to Dwayne. She ends up meeting Adrian and Ethan, a young power couple that rents her cabin to get away from the city life. Adrian is rich and ends up using LIzzie to talk to. It seems like Adrian always takes, but never gives anything back to LIzzie in return. When LIzzie turns up dead, with her body mutilated, law enforcement immediately suspects Dwayne. Ian Bird, a Maine State Police investigator, is tasked with coming to the truth. But in reality, the truth is crazier than you could ever imagine!

Overall, I really enjoyed this book. There is a huge twist in the middle that I definitely did not see coming. I thought that the pace of the book was great, and the interplay between Lizzie and Adrian were great and realistic. It only took a few chapters to really get into the book, to the point where I really wanted to keep reading. I definitely would recommend this to those who like dark and twisty stories, with turns that come out of no where. Definitely for thriller/mystery lovers who enjoy a good domestic tale.

I really, also, enjoyed the audiobook of this. There were three narrators, with alternating chapters as Lizzie, Adrian and Bird. I enjoyed their voices, and they were very easy to listen to. This was actually my first audiobook ever, and I enjoyed it MUCH more than I ever thought I would.

Thank you to the publisher, author, narrators and NetGalley for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

No One Will Miss Her is the story of Lizzie, a small town’s invisible, ugly duckling, maneuvering a path to recreate her life at the age of 28 years. However, she has a very interesting, and almost unbelievable, way of obtaining the recognition she strives to achieve in life. She may realize once she has everything she thought she ever wanted, it just may not be what she hoped it would be.

I listened to the audio version of this book. The three narrators did a fabulous job telling the story!

The story had a huge twist in the middle that caused me to say, “Whoa! What just happened?” I truly had to stop the audio to contemplate what had just happened. I did not see it coming! As the story continues, I kept waiting for more twists and turns and ended up being somewhat disappointed in the ending. I was really looking for something eventful to occur, and it never really did.

Thank you to NetGalley for the digital ARC in exchange for my honest opinion. All opinions expressed above are my own.

A good solid thriller about taking the opportunity to make something of yourself. Sometimes what you make of yourself comes at the detriment to others. Can you seize the opportunity or not? There are clues throughout that give the reader the chance to see how close the whole plan comes to falling apart. Or does it? Thanks to NetGalley for the early read.

A great psychological thriller with a huge twist! While not my usual genre, I really enjoyed this wild ride. Lizzys, the small town pariah is found dead and the hunt is on to find the killer and solve the mystery. What seems like a simple case, results in a huge dive into all the towns dark secrets and it isn’t as simple as was first thought. The audio book had great narration which helped to enhance the story.

Review of the audible version of No One Will Miss Her
With 3 narrators and a smart, yet trendy plot, No One Will Miss Her should not be missed. With clear narration and easy to follow changes in scenes and characters, the listener will be hard pressed to push the stop button.
The story itself is a modern take on the haves and have nots. Specifically, it opens with our narrator speaking as Lizzie Oullette from beyond the grave. She will pop up throughout the book dropping tidbits of her life and death to the listener. She lets you know right off she is a have not.
On the other side is Adrienne Richards who is firmly planted on the have side of life and posts frequently on social media on all the spoils of her life. She and her socially and financially disgraced husband have come to Copper Falls to rent Lizzie's vacation home. One that Lizzie has fixed up to bring in extra money. Think AirBnB.
When Lizzie is found dead, Detective Ian Bird, begins his investigation into the cause of death. This leads him to the entangled lives of Lizzie and Adrienne and their husbands. While Det Bird has some spot on gut feelings, he has difficulty pulling together the disparate thoughts to cleanly close the case.
This is a better than average psychological thriller which keeps the listener engaged and wanting to know who, what, when, where, and most importantly why. But don't count on getting all the answers.
No One Will Miss Her has put author Kat Rosenfield on my radar. I'm looking forward to what she comes up with next. Thank you to NetGalley for an early listen. All opinions are mine alone.

Thanks to NetGalley for the audiobook of this psychological thriller. When a woman is found dead with an identifying mark on her chest, Lizzie Ouellette is pronounced dead, and the town isn't at all concerned. In fact, they don't miss her at all. In the minds of the townspeople, Lizzie was known as trouble for years, and her husband Dwyane Cleaves, a good ol' boy, was saddled with her. Ethan and Adrienne Richards, a wealthy couple who rented Lizzie's home on the water, are the likely suspects for the murder..
If you think that is all there is to the story, you will be surprised at the twists and turns! People see what they want to see and believe what they want to believe, but you need to look deeper!
I enjoyed this thriller and will look for more from this author. I also liked the narrator.

If you love murder thrillers you will love this! It was a little too gory for my taste, but I can appreciate a mystery with an interesting twist, so I chose to overlook the graphic opening scene that had me ready to barf and keep going! I won't say the twist was unpredictable, because leading up to it I was starting to suspect what ended up happening. The plot was creative and the audiobook narration was very well done.

No One Will Miss Her was a story that makes you think one way until the twist happens and you are blown away. Great book.

This was a superb psychological thriller with a killer twist and phenomenal, twisted characters. This had a cat and mouse feel to it and you just couldn’t help loving the “bad guy” for their brilliance. The dual narrators were both excellent and the alternating chapters worked very successfully in pulling off an amazing read.

This book is definitely tops on my favorites list! I absolutely could not put it down- so many twists and turns, and every time you think you know what’s going to happen, the very last sentence in the chapter changes everything you thought you knew!

In a rundown New England town where nobody amounts to anything, Lizzie Ouellette is loathed by everyone. The girl who grew up in a trailer at the junkyard was always an outsider with an attitude, so when she turns up murdered and her husband- the former high school all-star athlete- is missing, nobody really loses any sleep over her. It isn’t until state police come around to investigate and find a strange link to a rich couple from Boston who vacation at Lizzie’s cottage that things start getting strange.

Simple small town story turned out not so simple but was a clever novel.. This was really good, the plot twist was unexpected and I loved how the chapters were told from different characters perspectives. This was a fun, twisty, dark phycological thriller! I didn’t see the twists coming and really enjoyed the ending.

Snarky and witty aren’t usual terms I’d use to describe a psychological thriller, especially one narrated posthumously! But that is exactly how I think of No One Will Miss Her, by Kat Rosenfield. Our Protagonrist, Lizzie Oullette tells her story from beyond the grave. Lizzie grew up in a junkyard trailer in rural Copper Falls, Maine. She dreamed of a more glamorous life and demonstrated her sophisticated taste decorating the little lake house which was her father’s graduation gift to her. Her Interior Design skills were recognized by social media Influencer Adrienne, who paid the steep asking price to rent the little cottage. Adrienne’s wealthy husband has questionable notoriety which adds to the gossip and suspicion . A grisly discovery opens the story, and Detective Ian Byrd is called in to help solve the case. Suspense, surprises and a twist created a page turner that I thoroughly enjoyed and heartily recommend. I read this as an audiobook with a full cast production.
Trigger Alert: Extremely graphic description of opening crime scene.

This review is based off the audiobook. I thought that the narration was well done, especially Lizzie’s narrator. I thought the book started very strong- very compelling and difficult to put down. I was surprised by the twist at about the halfway point, but I felt the story lost steam at that point. Without spoilers, the premise of the twist really challenges believability. And then I kept expecting another surprise, so the ending fell flat for me.

No One Will Miss Her is a thriller that hooked me from the beginning. We rotate between perspectives one of which is Lizzy, a small town, trailer park girl, who has been treated horribly by her community. We know earth on there have been murders but the circumstances are sketchy and the players rotate as most likely to be the perpetrator(s). To me this was a bit Crawdads, a bit Gone Girl with a little Ames Parrish sprinkled in. I both felt sorry for and hated the main characters but I always wanted to know what was going to happen next.

Thanks to #NetGalley for the ARC. Definitely one to look out for Oct 12!
