This is a perfect fit for readers who crave a sassy, witty, and steamy romance with a dash of banter and a healthy dose of enemies-to-lovers tension, as it promises a deliciously intense and passionate love story between two strong-willed characters who are forced to navigate their differences in a tight, explosive, and ultimately romantic space.
This is a great enemies to lovers romance. I love the forced proximity storyline as well. I think this was a great surprising read. Solid 4 stars
Cute cover and the premise sounded like something that I would totally read .
It started out well, with characters that will end up in a situation that brings them living under the same roof and the banter and pranks they make to each other were funny but also a bit overdone for me.
Not sure if I actually felt the chemistry on the page, I felt like something was still missing for me to get into this fully unfortunately.
Many romance readers will enjoy it but it was a wow story for me.
Very grateful to the publisher for my review copy

Misery loves company is about one of my fav tropes that's enemy to lovers and I hoped before reading this book that it would be able to develop that trope in love perfectly. This book had its elements that I loved and few things bugged me a lot too.
There were editing mistakes and grammatical errors too so I hope the published version gets thoroughly edited before publishing. ☺
Overall it was a good read and I would recommend this book. 🤗

Georgia
I've hated Chase Mathews from the first time I saw him.
He's arrogant, cocky, and far too obnoxious for anyone to deal with.
But our best friends are married, so escaping him isn't exactly easy.
Did I mention he's also my new roommate?
You see, life hasn't exactly gone to plan recently, and I'm out of options.
But just because I'm stuck with him doesn't mean I have to lay back and endure his antics.
Chase doesn't know it yet, but he's just met his match.
Chase
Georgia Monroe has driven me crazy for years. And not in a fun way.
She's a snobby brat who I try to avoid at all costs.
As luck would have it, she's also my new roommate.
If this year hasn't taken enough from me, it is undoubtedly testing my sanity with her around. Forced into close quarters, I don't know who will snap first.
Georgia is fire, and I'm gasoline. Soon, someone is going to explode.
I'm just hoping it won't be me.
Engaging read!
I couldn't get over how he was taken out of the sport for an injury that would have only had him out for the rest of the season. This was a very cute romance that many would love. I think it fell a little flat for me because I read so much and have read tons of these enemies-to-lovers stories. There was nothing wrong with this book, but also nothing that stood out and made it special.
He’s a former NHL player and she’s a former spoiled princess but due to their situation, they are now roommates and play all sorts of pranks on each other until they become friends and then more and then life takes them on different paths and they have to find how to make it work. Overall more of an emotional read but still sweet and entertaining
This was a heartwarming live story which definitely hit a lot of bumps in the road but finally made it to a happily ever after.
.I enjoyed the beginning of this book the pranks had me laughing hard. My number one issues is the author put to much in this book it began to slow down to much. It could have easily been broken into multiple books. The length of time at the end of the book after all the build up felt like a let down. Due to a misunderstanding in college they hate each other. During a period when they stay a friends house together they begin to bond after a few chapter it then begins to drag on. 2.75 stars would have been a 4 had the book not dragged so long.

This started horribly. The 2 main characters are absolute brats and awful, spoiled individuals. It went on for chapters and I could not care about their HEAs. The characters eventually decide to put down their hatred for each other and enjoy each other's company. Uh, what?! After that, the characters put down their weapons and made nice. Problem for me is, this started so bad and then went to blah (an upgrade) but still not worth my time.
Georgia and Chase have not had the most amicable relationship despite their shared friends. Yet, love is very close to hate, and beneath their dislike, simmers a strong attraction. Chase believes that Georgia is spoiled, and she feels that he is filled with self-importance. Yet when they find themselves house-sitting for their friends, their close proximity means that they have to show their true selves. The difficulties that both Chase and Georgia experience, seem to become far easier to face when they are together. Yet when they have to part, they soon find themselves missing the other.
Misery Loves Company is definitely intense and fairly steamy, but it has a lightness to it, making for a very easy read. I found these two characters quite fun to be around and enjoyed see their relationship go from pettiness to a great friendship, filled with love and respect.

Another winner from Scarlett Hopper! This book has all the good book magic I’ve come to know and love from this author!
This enemies to friends to lovers is one of my favourite of hers to date. I think what makes this book extra wonderful is the friendship that ensues. The beginning is all the dislike/enemies part, and is quite funny. Through this, Georgia and Chase realize they actually kinda enjoy spending time with one another, and get invested into each other’s lives, and become friends. Friends with some insane chemistry between them and when life restarts for Georgia, my goodness, my heart broke for them. There’s just the right amount of angst to keep me hungry for more between them, but not enough it’s unrealistic that Georgia move on. And then life gets in the way, which brings us to the final part. I swear my heart was already stomped on at this point, but then the actual romance started, and ugh I think I died!
This is a great read for anyone who loves a romance that begins with friendship first. It’s slow burn, but oh, it works so well for these characters. Given the history we’re first presented at the beginning, anything quicker would be unrealistic.
I look forward to reading what’s up next from Scarlett!
From the moment they first met Georgia and Chase disliked one another, but there also this tiny niggling feeling of attraction too, that neither would openly admit to. Chase sees Georgia as a spoiled princess with high expectations that he can never measure up to... so why try right? And Georgia sees Chase as an arrogant athlete that thoroughly enjoys the player lifestyle a little too much. But what if their wrong about one another? What if their first impressions were a case of mistaken identity?
Their about to find out the answer to that question when they find themselves momentarily living together while housesitting for their friends. This close quartered union is bound to spawn a few fights, eye rolls, and feisty banter. But what they don't expect is for it to wind up actually bringing them closer in another way... the kind that leads to love!
Misery Loves Company is a fun, humorous and oh so steamy enemies-to-lovers story that is bound to bring you many smiles and leave your heart happy! From the synopsis I knew this one was going to have some fireworks in it, especially with all that hate in the air... and boy was I right! These two in close quarters stirred up some serious tension and their little fights only fueled the fire. Not only did it have temps rising, but it also left them rattled in another way. All this time they had these impressions of one another that lead them to dislike one another, but those impressions weren't very accurate at all. Suddenly they began to see things that they liked, things that united them in ways they never thought possible.
This one turned out to be quite the enjoyable afternoon escape for me, my eyes found the words, and I just let them take me away from it all for a bit! I laughed, swooned, and smiled the whole way through! Highly recommend!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.
Georgia and Chase have hated each other forever. But now, due to unforeseen circumstances they are sharing a home. Can they put aside their pettiness and learn to live with one another?
If you love an enemies to lovers romance, this one is for you.
Misery Loves Company was my first read by Scarlett Hopper. I really enjoyed this book!
Such a cute and funny enemies to friends to lovers story. I liked the back and forth bickering between Chase and Georgia. I loved watching their attraction and chemistry grow into something beautiful.
Misery Loves Company
This is my first Scarlett Hopper novel and it certainly won't be my last.
Georgia and Chase severely dislike each other with a passion. But when they are to live under the same roof can their dislike turn into something more?
I laughed so much because of this book especially when both Georgia and Chase pulled pranks on one another trying to push the other one out. Then I laughed even more because of the other person's reaction.
The moral of the story, misery loves company, for me worked very well in an Enemies to Lovers book. Talking to someone about your problems can be very beneficial especially if the other person is suffering from problems themselves. And just sometimes it might bring two people together.
Thank you to Netgalley and Victory Editing Netgalley Co-Op for the opportunity to read and review Misery Loves Company and thank you to Scarlett Hopper.
Thanks to netgalley for the copy of this.
I enjoyed this book, I would have liked a bit more hockey and for the playlist at the beginning of the book to have relevance, but that's just personal preference.
Love a enemies to lovers arc: this one was good in the fact that both main characters faced difficult issues which brought them together. If I was to make any criticism I would have liked a bit more exploration into relationships with other characters but overall this book was enjoyable.
This is Chase and Georgia’s journey. Chase is an NHL star who is feeling lost after being side-lined due to an injury, and when Georgia’s life is tilted on its axles, their mutual best friends arrange for them to stay in the same house for a month. These two are total opposites and they are like petrol and a match, totally combustible. Much to their surprise the longer they are roommates, they move on from enemies to become friends. This is a well written story which is a fun and sweet read, with palpable tension, witty banter, bickering, crazy antics, friendships, family, and is an entertaining and humorous riveting page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
This was a new-to-me author and I really enjoyed reading this book. It is a standalone, but we got to see Ash and Logan from an earlier book Missed Encounters. They are friends with Georgia and Chase who were the main characters in Misery Loves Company. It was so entertaining, that I reached the end before I knew it. The enemies to lover troupe was certainly illustrated with all of the hilarious pranks Chase and Georgia played on each other and all their witty banter.
I loved how Chase and Georgia realized their perceptions of each other were wrong and they slowly became friends. They were both in bad spots in their life and together they were able to help each other discover a new purpose. I hated to see them move apart to accomplish their goals but in the long run, it helped their relationship. This was an amazing and humorous story, and I loved every second of it. It had more of a positive feeling to it than I expected since they were enemies to start with.
I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
An enemies to friends/lovers storyline is often formulaic as overplayed. Misery Loves Company added charm to a story that could’ve been quite predictable and boring. Kudos for Scarlett Hopper.
