While the author has incredible knowledge about the Beatles and similar "power pop" groups (Badfinger, Raspberries, and Big Star among others) I bought the book interested about his "Beatle 100" moments. This leads to an interesting point; do these moments include the four Beatles' solo works? When I think Beatles I think automatically 1957 to when they broke up in 1970. Many of the hundred moments involve various solo records and experiences after 1970 which to me was disappointing because "Beatles" to me means when they were together. I feel the book should not have covered the post-Beatles era and those chapters post-1970 would have made a fine book on their own!

The Beatles are my favourite group, so I was really delighted to listen to this audiobook and I loved it very much. The narrator was great and he explained everything clearly. The only thing that confused me a little bit was that he didn't read out all the information in chronological order. Apart from that, the book was fantastic and I loved learning new things about The Beatles that I didn't already know.
Many thanks to the author, publisher and Net Galley for a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.
The Beatles 100: 100 Pivotal Moments in Beatles History by John Borack, narrated by Keith Sellon-Wright
Thank you to NetGalley, High Bridge Audio, the author for the Audio ARC, and of course, The Beatles for which we are forever greatful.
This was a wonderful trip down memory lane for any lover of the Beatles. The narrator also did a great job. I would have preferred if it was in chronological order though.

The Beatles 100 by John Borack delightfully revisits some of the most significant events in the history of the band. Most of the events will be familiar to fans, but it was still a fun romp down memory lane, and would be a great introduction to those less versed in Beatles lore.
Borack takes us on a bit of a meandering journey through these events. They were unexpectedly out of order chronologically, but I felt that added a nice touch. I was listening with interest to see where in this journey I would be taken next. Including anecdotes from the four artist's solo careers was also a nice surprise.
The narrator, Keith Sellon-Wright brought the events to life with a charm and affection that made listening to the audiobook a pleasure. It felt like listening to an old (Beatles obsessed) friend.
I received an advance audio version of this book from NetGalley and HighBridge Audio in exchange for an unbiased review. #NetGalley #TheBeatles100
A fun and easy read. The author talks about some great moments from music history, and talks about his own personal connection to those moments in some cases. Nothing earth-shattering here, but definitely worth the effort if you're a fan of the fab four from Liverpool.
Not quite a top 100 list and not at all a linear narrative (the 100 episodes are sort of structured thematically, but are not a chronological order), this book talks about moments/events/decisions/times that were important to the trajectory of the Beatles. I grew up listening to Breakfast with the Beatles on weekends with my family, so I knew a lot of the details of tours, Martin and Epstein, recording sessions, transcendental meditation, drugs with Dylan, Yoko Ono, etc., but Borack is an engaging writer (if a bit of a gushing fan) and it was fun to hear those stories told again and told well.
I did not expect so many of the moments to come *after* the Beatles broke up during each of the Fab Four's solo careers. This was less inherently interesting to me, but since the 70s is a bit of a wasteland in my musical knowledge, I feel like I learned a lot (who knew that Ringo initially had such an initially successful solo career). The details on the pivotal solo albums by Lennon, McCartney, and Harrison are going to make me dig those up on spotify and have a listen.
To some extent, the book seemed a bit formless given the loose structure of the moments, and there are a few superfluous top ten lists to pad out the back, but on the whole this was a fun, enjoyable read that had me listening to Rubber Soul all morning.
John Borack has written an interesting book on The Beatles, for those that are fans, new fans, or any who enjoy musical history and different perspectives.. The narrator, Keith Sellon-Wright did an excellent job in bringing the book to life for audio listenerโs. Mr. Borack is obviously a huge Beatleโs fan, with a history of following the band since his early years. The book is divided into chapters which each document a significant event in the history of the band. As. music lover and fan of learning about music history, I enjoyed this book.

A really fun listen if you love The Beatles! Some things are commonly known but thereโs definitely some stories I hadnโt heard yet. You can definitely feel the writer is a big fan and its very wholesome.
"From that seemingly innocuous beginning, all those years ago, came a passion that Kayla and I have grown to share, the love of the music of the Beatles, especially Paul McCartney." From The Beatles 100
3.5 stars
A quick glance of a book, jumping around to cover a surface level introduction to the Beatles. I think the strongest part of the book was the breif start where the author talked about his connection to the music. Much of the book seemed lifted from other books (the reference was cited), or quotes and statistics easily available, and that I would imagine most fans would know. I had expected more of a unique perspective going in, but some readers may like this collection of tidbits. I wish it had been more chronologically in order as well. I think this might be for a new fan of their music, or someone not too familiar with them.

I really enjoyed listening to this. The narrator made a band that I adore come to life and I knew most of the stuff but I admit some things were new to me. Just an enjoyable read/listen.
My thanks to Net Galley and the publisher for this excellent audio..
This is another retrospective of Beatles history as a group, and as individual solo artists.
I enjoyed this very much. Most of this is events any Beatles fan would be familiar with, but still really good. Great narration. Highly recommend. My only negative comments were the events were out of sequence.
I love the Beatles and was very excited to read more about them and their life. This book would be good for young or newer fans that haven't read much about them. The author did a good job writing the history of their career but there wasn't much there I didn't know
The Beatles made history with their music and that was fun going down memory lane while reading this book
I do recommend this book for anyone who.loves the Beatles.
Thank you Netgalley and publisher for giving me this opportunity to read and review this advanced copy
I've been a Beatles fan since they began. Queued all night in the street when I was 17 to be able to buy tickets to see them in Leicester. So this audio book looked irresistible when I saw it on Netgalley.
It's full of interesting facts and the authors memories and feelings but for me it's just too American a standpoint for this English Beatles fan.
Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley it was an interesting weekend's listen but not really much more.
An interesting listen for casual Beatles fans, but if you've been listening and learning about the band for a long time, there is really no new information. The narrator did a great job and the history was explained in a way that would make it simple for new fans to gain a lot of information. The biggest downfall of this book is the order of the 100 stories. It was jarring to switch between Rubber Soul to Please Please Me to the band breaking up within five chapters when these stories weren't even told in chronological order. The story of Lennon's assassination should not have been told within such close vicinity of The Beatles' first appearance on Ed Sullivan. This made for a confusing and jarring listen, but the interesting content in the book made up for it. 3.5/5 stars.
