Yet another winner from Traci Hunter Abramson. I just love her St. Squad series. Once you start reading one, it makes you want to read all the rest. You will not be disappointed with this one!

I received an advanced reader copy in exchange for an unbiased review.

It's so great to have another Saint Squad book to read! It's so fun to read these characters' interactions, bantering, etc. I really love these characters!

Gage Stewart is the newest employee of Palmetta Institute. He's a college graduate, with a degree in psychology. But Riley hired him for more than that. He was hired for his perspective; his personal experience. If you've read the series, Gage will be familiar to you. I'm really glad for the chance to find out more of his story.

The Palmetta Institute is currently based out of one of the Prescott hotels. Skyler Prescott is the daughter of the hotel mogul, Logan. She lives and works in this location. She also volunteers to help Riley with the demonstrations occasionally. She meets Gage on his first day there, and they hit it off quickly. However, they are both keeping a secret about themselves.

Gage is already trying to deal with changes to where he lives and works, but then he (along with Skyler) also get caught up in a plot to assassinate a Presidential candidate, after a public shooting.

Can they survive everything being thrown at them? Can their relationship survive the stress, their secrets, and her dad?

Redemption is an exciting, fast-paced book. It doesn't have swearing or sex scenes. Religion is part of every-day life for most of the characters.

I received an advance copy, in exchange for my honest opinion of the book.

Fast- paced from beginning to end, “Redemption” by Traci Hunter Abrams is the 11th integer Seal Squad series. The Saint Squad is a group of SEALs, along with their family and friends. There a lot of characters to get to know if you haven’t read other books in the series (I haven’t), but the book stands alone.

Gage Stewart is trying to overcome his difficult past. He accepts a job teaching others what to do during a mass shooting. Gage brings a unique perspective since 5 years ago, he was the one bringing a gun to school.

On his first day on the job, Gage meats Skyler, the daughter of a hotel mogul who just wants some “normal” in her life.

“Redemption” is thought-provoking and suspense-filled. It is well researched, full of likable characters and interesting relationships, and highly recommend. A true redemption story.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher and Net Galley. The opinions are my own.

3.75 stars
I really enjoyed revisiting the Saint Squad. I also enjoyed the theme of redemption throughout the book and how Gage worked to put the past behind him and make a fulfilling life for himself.

"Redemption" is a romantic suspense novel. This is the 11th book in a series, and it referred back to events in a previous book (I assume "Lockdown"). It can be read as a standalone, though.

The first part of the novel mainly developed the friendship, which grew into romance. Gage and Skyler felt comfortable with each other and had shared interests. Each withheld some information about themselves that would potentially change the relationship. When this information came out, Skyler just avoided Gage rather than asking why the people who clearly knew his past didn't seem concerned by it. Plus he'd already risked his life to save people during a shooting, so I'd have thought she'd question rather than completely reject him. Poor guy. Gage just wanted to create a new, useful life and was very likable. But Skyler just kept holding Gage to unclear-to-him standards, like asking her to spend time with him didn't count as a date. Maybe realistic, but I didn't like her as much because of it.

I also thought the father acted out of character at the end, and his reason didn't even justify his actions. Anyway, the romance quickly wrapped up after Gage told her what she'd already heard before. Maybe Gage looked more appealing after her father's unreasonable actions.

The shootings were suspenseful and provided Gage a chance to prove himself a hero. Gage and Skyler went to church with the Saint Squad a few times. There was no sex or bad language. I liked most of the story, but the ending (after the suspense was wrapped up) just didn't work for me.

This book is a part of a series. If you’ve already read the other books, you’ll have the background info and will love reading more. However, if you haven’t read the others, no worries, the author does a good job giving enough info that connections can be made easily. One of the first pages lists the names of the couples that were featured in the other books along with the titles. It felt like a young adult book with a couple of 20-year olds in the leading roles who, after just a few weeks, know they’re meant for each other. That’s not my type of story. Fortunately, there was more to it than that. The story picked up in excitement and action and I found myself enjoying the 2nd half more. The theme of the book is mass shootings. How to prepare for one and its impact on people. For individuals who have lived through such an experience, it could be a tool to help process what has happened and deal with the resulting feelings and anxieties. The different relationships and “relatives of...” were a bit too coincidental and at times far-fetched, as was Skyler’s background and family situation. There wasn’t a lot of character development. Even though the book touches on huge issues, it wasn’t thick enough for them to be developed as much as they could have been. That’s a lost chance in my opinion. The book was advertised as christian fiction and is a clean read, but is not in-your-face christian. There is some church going and praying by the SEALS and their families, but the book is definitely not preachy. As it stands, it’s a quick, easy and enjoyable read for people who like this genre.

I made the mistake of starting this in the evening. My husband made fun of me the next day because I had stayed up much later than I had intended. I could not put it down. That should be all there is to say about this one.

The redemption story was fantastic. I loved seeing the Whitmore run for presidency be impacted in this one. The characters are well developed as is the "saint squad" that headlines these stories.

Admission - This is the first Saint Squad I have read. I have read some of the Guardian ones which overlap the Whitmore characters. I am going to have to go back and read them all, but this book can be read without them as it is a good stand alone story. There were some remnants of an overarching story, but you can still follow what is going on without all the back story.

The action and suspense were on point and like I said, I couldn't put this sleep stealer down.

I received an early copy through Covenant Communications and NetGalley.

The theme of this latest Saint Squad novel by Traci Hunter Abramson is only obvious from the title. Redemption. Redemption in particular to a character that was introduced in the novel “Lockdown”. It made my heart happy to see a happy ending for this character. If you haven’t read Lockdown yet, then I recommend that you read that first. Not only did I enjoy the theme, but I loved the characters and seeing old friends again. This definitely had me glued to the book.

Traci hunter abramson does not disappoint. Once again she delivers an exciting and inspiring read all in one. Is part of a series of books, but it is also a great stand alone. The story of redemption is so inspiring. It is once again a book that I stayed up late into the night to read, because I just couldn’t put it down. If you’ve read some of Traci hunter abramson the saint series before, you have some new faces, some old faces, and engender a new old character. One thing I appreciate about Traci hunter abramson is that her books are always clean. I never think twice about recommending her books to any age. If you love suspense and a little bit of romance, you will love her books.

Although this is the eleventh of the Saint Squad series but my first book by the author, I didn't have any problems understanding. I plan to read her other books and have already purchased the first book to get started.
This series is based around a group of SEALs, the Saint Squad, and their friends and family. Riley, married to Tristan of the Squad, has a company she started that helps law enforcement and others prepare for violent situations. She was the victim of a violent situation years ago and wants to help others. Gage, a young man with a complicated past, not of his own making, has been hired by Riley for his background. Skyler's family owns the hotel where the seminars are held and volunteers for Riley. The two young people are attracted to each other but when events happen that draw them into danger, including an attempt on the life of a politician running for president, their relationship is affected. They have to deal with what they have been through and figure how to move forward with trust and hope. I liked the characters and the close relationships they have as they work together under dangerous situations. We get a glimpse into the individual lives of characters from prior stories and Skyler's crazy, wealthy family. A thread of romance and faith run through the story. I recommend this to those who enjoy a suspenseful, action filled story with a military cast that also involves some tension filled relationships.
I received a complimentary copy from Covenant Communications via NetGalley. The opinions and thoughts are mine only.

The concept of working for, earning, and deserving redemption can be hard to accept but can also be very liberating and this story presents all sides very well, intermingled with romance, suspense, and action. I literally couldn't stop reading it! TBH, you'll probably enjoy this book a little more if you've read previous "Saint Squad" books, particularly Lockdown which I believe is where we were introduced to Eric Rhodes as well as Riley Panetta. If you haven't, there is enough background to keep you from floundering. That said, I loved this story! It is well written with dialogue that feels natural and both functional and dysfunctional families that I can relate to. The action builds to the end until as I said before, I couldn't put it down. I finished reading it at 1:30 a.m. I suggest you start it early on a quiet day.

What does it take to be redeemed? How do you atone for past mistakes? Who decides when your debt is paid in full? Gage has to answer these questions and more in Redemption.

When Gage was a teenager, he made the mistake of trusting the wrong people and got psychologically abused. Because of this abuse and brainwashing, he made some very bad choices and wound up in court, healing from a bullet wound. After completing his sentence and healing physically, Gage is faced with the question of, “What do I do now? What can I do now?” and the need to heal mentally. Gage is given the opportunity to face his demons and answer these questions with the help of the Palmetto Group.

I won’t give away anymore of the plot, but will tell you that this book is so much more than just an action novel or a (clean) contemporary romance novel. I was surprised by the depth of the characters and the intricate nature of the plot. The writing is fluid and well paced—giving just the right amount of detail at the right time. The editing is solid.

This is the ninth book in the Saint Squad series, but you do not need to read the other books in the series in order to understand this one, but I recommend reading them as they fill in the background stories of the secondary (and some of the primary) characters in this book.

Redemption was absolutely amazing! It held my attention the whole time. It was a true story of redemption, mercy, grace, a love story and a thriller.

This book is such a great addition to the Saint Squad series! Loved it. The characters continue to get developed in such fun ways. You will want to be part of their"family"!

Traci Hunter Abramson’s book Redemption lives up perfectly to the definition of redemption from Oxford Languages which includes “an action of saving or being saved from sin, error, or evil”. Gage Stewart unwittingly is being set up to fail at his attempt for a new life and a new name for himself. He instinctively, with the help of Riley Crowther’s training classes, he is able to defend himself, his new friend, Skyler, and many other people that were unwelcome pawns to evil’s plan. Skyler is fighting a whole different battle of freedom from the constrains of an overprotective father that has the means to pull strings in the upper class world. As Gage and Skyler work together with their friends from Riley’s staff, the Saint Squad, and Presidential candidate, James Whitmore, they prove their strength and resilience to overcome all obstacles in their way. This book is a great addition to the Traci Hunter Abramson's collection, it can be a stand alone, but it mentions all of the characters that we have grown to love and respect from her books.

Fast-paced adventure! Having never read the first ten books in this series, I feel that I missed a lot of the back stories of the characters. The Saint Squad characters give light into the Navy Seal operations. Riley's company which provided hands-on training was also enlightening. Readers will want to read the first books in this enjoyable series.

Fast-paced, interesting and gripping novel with believable characters.
I must admit that I missed the point that redemption is through Christ and not through action alone. Giving others a second chance is important and brought out in this novel in a nice way.
I will look for some other parts of this series.

I haven't read a lot of this author so I didn't realise this was part of a series. I can tell you that you can read it as a stand alone but it will leave you wanting to read the rest in the series.

I got this book free in exchange for an honest review. It was worth a read and kept me interested for the duration of the book. The main theme of this book is that you are not bound by your past and people can change.
